Anyone else wonders why at the 4th game the evokers arent necessary anymore? I mean, is the same world for the all the games in the persona series, right ... I wonder if ATLUS will explain it in some crazy plot twist in the future. =3 I hope they do.. hehe

@annglacie They are in the same world. You meet Yukiko Amagi and some other girl from persona 4 in persona 3 when you visit inaba, the town persona 4 takes place. Yukiko even mentioned something about it in persona 4. So it is in the same world.

The badassest at summoning persona though is the 4ths protagonist. Everyone in P4 summon persona by breaking the card with a weapon. But not the protagonist, oh no, he crushes the card with his bare hand, Card Crusher style. He no need for a tool to bring out the asskicking! Everyone else are weak when compared to him!

Say what you want about french or whatever other language, but japanese i've always thought to be one of if not THE coolest language ever. I saw a friend play it years back and finally found a used copy of FES for only 13$, practically a steal for this jewel of a game, i usually don't even like rpgs. i can already tell im going to lose sleep playing this though. :)

@emokid6547 You know what, I've actually changed my mind since then. Considering the theme of P3 was death it only makes sense for their personas to be summoned by something that simulates death and this is not something that would fit in P4. That said, I'm not sure how cards fit in with P4's theme of truth so I agree that the way they do it in the fourth one is pretty uninspired.

@vicepresidentfru1tly Actually, Persona 4 wasn't "with cards" it was With Glasses. Glasses to see the TRUTH from the fog. It was all about Media (not the spell :P), Vision, and Fog -> As related to perception, truth, how we wish to be seen, how others wish to see us, etc

This game is like sent from VG heaven... miuc better than the runny shit coming out the back end of SE. and also... to all those that care...the dorm room song is different version of the same song used in a few boss fights in SE's Star Ocean: Till The End of Time. i laughed so hard because this game is superior in so many different ways. Like playing through a cartoon. had to get used to not being able to free roam 100% of the time and random advances though. New material for a classic RPGer!!

About all the 'shooting in the head comments': It is a metaphor. Yes, it does have to do with self-injurious imagery, and yes, it is symbolic for separation of the psyche from the body.

The game deals with this theme in subtle and mature ways at several points in the plot, which is deep and enjoyable. Persona 3, like the other SMT games, doesn't shy away from dealing with important themes just because they are controversial.
