  • Who did Alan Moore interview, and where can I find this on youtube?

  • @captainbilgewater Alan Moore interviewed Brian Eno, who is also pretty funny!

I remember hearing this live on BBC Radio 4 yeeears ago (it was 2005) and Alan Moore's Hollywood dealings reinforced a few ideas I had about the truth behind how disappointing things happen in culture whilst his response to them gave me faith in humanity.

Stewart Lee's comedy these days does the same :)

  • Two of the best people ever.

  • His voice is like sub bass

  • You can tell the audience is hanging onto his every word. What an amazing fellow.

  • I know it's nothing like Moore's writings. But I was awoken by my neice dressed as Spiderman this morning beating the crap out of me. Ah kids.

  • Man, I wish I could keep doing the same interview over and over again for 30 years as Alan Moore does.

  • Haha, I was planning a career in the superhero field as a kid, too. I was going to laugh at how silly I was, but, come to think of it, when I was about 11 I got hit by a car and got up and walked away, so it stands to reason that I might be invincible

  • Alan Moore in the Alistair Crowley pose =D

  • ill say!!

  • One question

Who's better Stan Lee or Alan Moore?

  • Stewart Lee..!!

No, seriously, it would have to be Stan Lee for me simply because of Spiderman... No super hero inspired me as much as a kid but then Alan's greatness came after that most influential time...

  • @RodHullIOnceWasHim Stan Lee created some inspiring works. But nothing really compares to Alan Moore's writing. :)

  • @RodHullIOnceWasHim yeah but as a writer alan is far beyond stan in terms of skill as a writer.

  • @RodHullIOnceWasHim i think your talking about stan lee...not steward,

  • I have to agree, Allan may have perfected superheros, but Lee created most superheros that are big today. So credit's given, when credit's due for the both of them.

  • You can't compare the two.

Here you have Stan Lee, the happy go-lucky creator (I'd say this, or at least populizar?) of comic books, versus Alan Moore, who changed comics.

Really, it's like comparing Picasso to Andy Warhol. Totally different, but equally as good at what each did best.

  • you have to ask? A corporate whore with no imagination and sterile story lines about cardboard monsters. Or the man who probes the inner darkness of human psyche?

  • @CharlieSpecs alan moore any day v for vendetta and watchman are my favroute comics

  • @CharlieSpecs Oh Please!!! Jack Kirby did everything in those marvel comics as far as Stan Lee's concerned.

Alan Moore is in a different category altogether.

Ridiculous question, i just had to answer it though :P

  • @CharlieSpecs Better implies that there is an objective end to which comics have and that one of these two men contributed more to comics travelling towards this objective end.

  • @CharlieSpecs Both are great in their own way. But if I had to choose I'd pick Moore. He's just a better writer Lee IMO.

  • @CharlieSpecs alan moore as Stan lee Ripped off all his Ideas from Steve Ditko

Look up on Youtube " Jonathan Ross in Search of Steve Ditko " and the whole tale will come clear.. of how much Stan Lee Owes to Steve Ditko

  • @CharlieSpecs I like Alan... Moore.

  • i had a dream that i had a pint with stewart lee yesterday. it was a good pint though

  • strange hearing stew lee laugh. he never laughs during gigs.

    love alan moore Gnovels

  • This is quite a great interview. Alan Moore is incredibly hilarious, and his wit is impressive. As well, his written works are magnificent.

  • god is a fictional character. i think alan moore is real

  • @firekind1980 I've spoken to Him. How can you tell me he's fictional?

  • @SmokiSounds So what exactly did god say to you when you spoke to him?

  • @firekind1980 That I messed up and need to spread the Truth. Understand?

  • @SmokiSounds Care to expand on that experience? I find spiritual experiences quite interesting, I'm sure Alan would too.

  • @SmokiSounds Did you mess up with drugs? because that would explain a lot...

  • @SoulIsTheGoal I highly doubt you're competent in this topic. Troll in another place.

  • God has a beard too innit
