@captainbilgewater Alan Moore interviewed Brian Eno, who is also pretty funny!
I remember hearing this live on BBC Radio 4 yeeears ago (it was 2005) and Alan Moore's Hollywood dealings reinforced a few ideas I had about the truth behind how disappointing things happen in culture whilst his response to them gave me faith in humanity.
Haha, I was planning a career in the superhero field as a kid, too. I was going to laugh at how silly I was, but, come to think of it, when I was about 11 I got hit by a car and got up and walked away, so it stands to reason that I might be invincible
No, seriously, it would have to be Stan Lee for me simply because of Spiderman... No super hero inspired me as much as a kid but then Alan's greatness came after that most influential time...
I have to agree, Allan may have perfected superheros, but Lee created most superheros that are big today. So credit's given, when credit's due for the both of them.
you have to ask? A corporate whore with no imagination and sterile story lines about cardboard monsters. Or the man who probes the inner darkness of human psyche?
@CharlieSpecs Better implies that there is an objective end to which comics have and that one of these two men contributed more to comics travelling towards this objective end.
Who did Alan Moore interview, and where can I find this on youtube?

You can't compare the two.
Here you have Stan Lee, the happy go-lucky creator (I'd say this, or at least populizar?) of comic books, versus Alan Moore, who changed comics.
Really, it's like comparing Picasso to Andy Warhol. Totally different, but equally as good at what each did best.

@CharlieSpecs Oh Please!!! Jack Kirby did everything in those marvel comics as far as Stan Lee's concerned.
Alan Moore is in a different category altogether.
Ridiculous question, i just had to answer it though :P

@CharlieSpecs Both are great in their own way. But if I had to choose I'd pick Moore. He's just a better writer Lee IMO.

@SmokiSounds So what exactly did god say to you when you spoke to him?
firekind1980 1 year ago
@firekind1980 That I messed up and need to spread the Truth. Understand?
SmokiSounds 1 year ago
@SmokiSounds Care to expand on that experience? I find spiritual experiences quite interesting, I'm sure Alan would too.
