As usual you are so right on. Giuseppi is really in need of more paying gigs. I always hand him money which is stressful because NYC is expensive but I do my best to help him. He seems happy. He wants to go back in to the studio and record more original compositions. I just wish he had more paying gigs, etc. Thanks always for your support. Excellent video story. Did you say NYC is breaking down? I'm sorry when I see videos like this, done with such purity & love, demonstrating nothing but facts that say NYC is not only alive & well, but that NYC is still the center of the Universe & home to all things that are beautiful & true. NYC is much more than bricks, mortar, steel, & glass, the buildings great, but are only illusions. Thanks. Keep up the amazing work. We all need what you do.

What you wrote is beautiful and true. You have purity of spirit and I know I have people commenting on that in writing, some of my fictional tales, even though there is sex, white collar crime, etc. people get that. You make me fall in love w/NYC despite what Bloomberg and developers have done making sky mirrored buildings reflecting history destroyed and communities no longer welcome. Great video. I like great success storys. I wish Giuseppi and his son the best of luck, looking forward to seeing more videos on the both of them. There needs to be a big education push, and intervention in the schools to prevent gang violence. The same tough federal laws used to prosecute the mob, need to be used against all criminal street gangs. Lots of innocents have been hurt, or killed, or mugged by gangs.

There has to be a lot more done including with rap moguls doing more than they have to stop the violence that their music glorified. This is a success story but there is a lot of heartbreak and a lot of healing to go. Giuseppi still needs support and Jaee will be working towards healing the loss of his son for a long time. Believe me there is more -- a lot more to tell. I just am too exhausted and maybe it will be told through 2 films...one a documentary one a film film. Very intense but the beauty is after almost 50 years Giuseppi did compose new music as he told me he wanted to when I first filmed him and the new album has received so much praise. Jaee is a genius and he wants to work towards fixing broken family tree. GL was married before so Jaee has much older siblings he has never met.

No, Jaee lives on the West Coast in CA. He is flying back tomorrow. His Mom took him at age 6 to CA and raised him there. GL wants to be here in NYC and close to Tompkins Square Park. He is happy here and he feels that NYers gave him shelter, clothes, instruments. Jaee will be returning next month to celebrate GL's birthday. There birthdays are 3 days apart and Jaee will return to continue to film. Stay tuned!!!!!!
