  • ORANGE HI-C!!!!!!!!!

  • 33 people don't like happy chickens.

  • "sorry to interrupt, but, I have the same question." XD I completely lost it.

  • Maybe if some of you were decent enough to respect how animals deserve to feel like, then your lives wouldn't be so shitty that you feel the need to spew things like that on the Internet like the low life bitches you are.

  • Thank you for posting this it made me happy =] an laughy also xD

  • I live here and the show is not exaggerating. You are forced to pay for organic and gluten free food. Forced to buy "local" - which means "Marion" (just awful) berry ice cream and pies - Marion berries are wild, very sour berries put in everything up here because they are local. Kiwi fruits up here are hard and sour but "locally" grown in this cloudy and cold state. Moving back to the Republic of Texas

  • @bustacapinlutha Did you just refer to Texas as a "Republic"? LMFAO, what did they turn liberal or something? You aren't forced to buy ANY organic food in Portland, NONE, NADA, ZERO. Every major grocery store has identical meats and produce as anywhere else in the United States. The only thing they don't have is Wal-mart, and that's GOOD, since when is it a Republican value to ship jobs off to China? Oh I guess now that they have a wealthy trust fund baby for a candidate, LOL.

  • awesome

  • The skit doesn't end there, they go down to the farm and it gets ever crazier. I want to say more, but I won't. Should be seen, not described.

  • Really the next step is to breed farm animals similar to ameglian major cows that way you can have what their diet was, what cuts of meat will be most delicious, what their home life was like, what their owners were like, and have a conversation with them. :D

  • Hahaha!! It's almost like they turned that book, Stuff White People Like, into a sitcom! =D

  • 31 people don't think it's local.

  • We wanted to make sure he had lots of room to run around and play with the other chickens before you cut his head off so we could eat him.

  • "I'm so weird with that gas pedal it just moves the whole vehicle forward..."

it's moments like that, where if you aren't paying attention it will go right past you but it speaks volumes about his character, the absolute bewilderment he has towards cars haha

  • Hippies innovate a moral dine-and-dash! What's next?

  • it's a very funny skit, HOWEVER, it's exactly the way you should act in a restaurant/exactly the types of questions you should ask

  • @dagda16 Wow.

This skit is actually mocking YOU.

  • i dont eat organic chickens unless they were the ones doing the raising of the farmers.

  • I drove way too slow here today, didn't I?

  • they can go eat an organic peice of shit

  • i hate ppl like them soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

  • "i'm sorry to interrupt i have exactly the same question" hahahahha

  • @blaker92 i'm sorry to interrupt but i was about to post the exact same comment

  • Aleki...

  • @Ragglfraggle That's fine and all, but that still doesn't explain how this is funny. Not trying to be bogus. Shows that people in Portland are out of the ordinary, but that doesn't mean it's funny.

  • @MrTryfe - then clearly you're one of the overzealous foodies that this sketch is lampooning. We're laughing at you, not with you!

  • @greenbone23 The sketch isn't lampooning foodies. It's lampooning people that care about things that have no baring on what the food actually tastes like what-so-ever. Sort of the opposite of foodies really.

  • "I'm sorry I dont mean to interrupt but I had exactly the same question"

  • OMG.....too funny!!!

  • Have you met Aliki?

  • Can someone explain to me how they find this funny?

  • @MrTryfe If you've ever been to Portland, people do this shit.

  • hold our seats? hahahahahaha

  • This is worse in San Francisco! The local pet store owner gave me an even more detailed explanation of where my doggie's fresh food comes from. She visited the farm herself. I asked jokingly if the cows were social and she said yessss. She didn't know I was joking.

  • Just don't eat the chicken. Love the northwest.

  • I remember when I was young and my dad took me to whole foods and he grabbed the milk and eggs, and I asked him, how is organic exactly? Are they organic cows? LOL he just laughed, and said, good question! LOL

  • Organic chickens are so OvER! Lol

  • Portland is so cool.

  • OMG if you live in portland you are probably laughing from how true this is hahaha

  • Is it local? hahaha, I'm from Portland and yes, people are like that.

  • I can't help but notice they left without paying for their wine...

  • Lorne Michaels of SNL fame has finally done something recent that is funny. SNL has been so lame for years….. and Portlandia is so much better. also

For astute social observational humor that explores the quirkiness of the human psyche watch JERRY RIO on his channel and the THYRDEYE channel.

  • if you want an organic chicken just go down to tijuana ask any old lady if you can buy some chickens

  • This video has convinced me that my hometown is the Portland of New Jersey (aka Princeton). Fortunately I'm not this much of a hipster. xD

...Our organic pizza actually rocks though :p

  • His name was Colin

    Mother: Alice

    Father: Larry

  • Were the walnuts grown local? Is the waiter local? Was the sheep of the milk local? how close to Portland was it milked? Is that background music imported? if yes, was it via a local port? ...I have so many questions. this "no reservations" video leaves me wanting more info.

  • i went to a resturaunt today and i asked the lady to tell me more about the burger i was going to order. i was with my friends and they thought it was sooo funny

  • I watched this episode last night and I swear I had to pause every 3 seconds to laugh my brains out lol this was hysterical...

  • HIS name is Colin, despite the fact that "he" seems to be a hen

  • Living in Portland I can say that I have been to many restaurants that are basically this detailed, minus the actually going to the farm. But there is a huge stress on local, organic, happy animals before they become dinner.

  • @lavenderflames Sounds like you have a lot of idiots running around there. watch?v=fhBKtjDtTVk

  • @lavenderflames do u even live in portland

  • "His name was Colin" XD

  • That makes me want to puke... I'm from rural Oregon and I can tell when I'm talking to a city slicker. "Is that fair trade? Made in a sweat shop? and "What was the [animal]'s name is a cliche joke here. Oregon is a vast forested state with a sparse population, yet Portland carries the vote and because they live in a concrete jungle, they believe trees are an endangered species, so they destroyed the best renewable resource we have: timber Our economy in rural Oregon is strangled by Portland.

  • OMGoodness, I want to kill myself now...ya know...just out of principle. O.o

  • i'm not sure if i should be offended... not all people are like this... portland is not this weird.. but along the lines...

  • so tired of hipsters

  • that gas pedal....

  • EXCEPT FOR THE NAKED BICYCLE RIDES..that sounds awesome..

  • I love this show..and sry to and Portland people here..but your town sounds like fucking HELL.

  • They understand us. Keep Portland Weird forever<3

  • and, and, and, and and, and and, and and, and...and, and is this really how it is out there?

  • I love this clip. I live on a genetically modified, 100% conventional farm (which is the best type of farm). Organic people are crazy and just like this!! Well done Portlandia!!

  • minneapolis is also just like this...

  • @anelson3 Heh heh heh, true that :P

  • @anelson3 So is Madison!

  • Oh my gosh, the car part is freaking spot on. I encounter these people in Portland quite often. haha!!!

  • "I'm sorry to interrupt- I have exactly the same question."

  • I hate hipsters!

  • Keep Portland WEIRD!!!!!!!

  • Chicken is so over!

  • this has inspired me to ask if my burger is made out of free range cow every time I go to a fast food place. I love portlandia <3

  • I'm totally gonna end up like that in 20 years or so... lol

  • This show has actually made me want to go to portland, it seems like such a magical place.

  • i completely lost it at "an-an-an-an...."

  • live near Portland...I also know people like this...:)

  • and and and and and and and and and and and I love this show.

  • FYI Portland has spread to the little island of Kauai, HI. There are thousands of these people on the island.

  • hahahah this is weird

  • this is weird

  • a loooot of these ppl in nyc 2...

  • Damn I live in portland.. I'm not like this lol

  • Dude I work at a seafood restaurant in the mountains far away from the ocean and I've literally had people ask me if the seafood was local -_-

  • Hipsters are funny. Just eat the damn chicken.

  • This shit is FUNNY!

  • She looks like she's on a date with her grandma. Yikes!

  • this is the best, portland is so self righteous, and trying too hard to be hip,its like disneyland for grownups you never have to grow up!!!

  • Lived in Ptown my whole life. Holy shit was this accurate.

  • ahahaha fuck portland

  • @ClearColorCloud Portland is like a million times better than whatever shit town you came from asshole

  • The 50% of Salt Lake City that's NOT mormon-ia

  • I'm sorry to interrupt, I had exactly the same question

  • this show could also be called 'Austin-ia'

  • A quietly brilliant series. Loved this sketch and the Feminist Bookstore and the Wireless Phone Store and the Hipster Hotel sketches.

  • nprrrrrrrrrrrrrr great interview, right thurrrrrrrr

  • He's just a guy

  • Everything is organic- nuclear waste, used band-aids, monkey schitt. If it's from earth it fits the bill, regardless of marketing agent's bets to see how gullible you are. you either fall for it like these brain donors or you do not.

  • @lingbopper88 But is it fair trade nuclear waste?!

  • @lingbopper88 you obviously don't know what organic actually means, stop trying to sound smart.

  • Im from seattle.

    I still love this show

    :D

  • Im sorry to interrupt, I had exactly the same question. Haha

  • I think his Woody Allen is a little over-done... I prefer my Woody Allen more... well... free-range.

  • Poor Colin. At least he lived a fulfilling life.

  • This is what every restaurant in Austin has to deal with.

  • SO. GOOD.

  • If youve ever worked at a restaurant youve prob got these ppl at some point lol

  • I live in Washington State

Portland and the Oregon State....are like Canada to us.

Washington part II if you like

"Local" always makes me think "excuse to cost more" "organic" has the same effect

  • @deathbypowerglove and you stay there! and learn how to drive in the left lane, its only for people that want to drive fast! Jeez wannabe portlandiers....

  • @shuckslbj: He's saying local. Adjective:

Belonging or relating to a particular area or neighborhood, typically exclusively so: "researching local history".

  • "And this is, this is lo-cal?" The way he says "lo-cal" in such a liberal-nag-trying-to-sound-nonchalant way is SO PERFECTLY ANNOYING. This is just great.

  • Hahaha. I've been this waitress before.

  • This is kind of off subject but did anybody notice that IFC has 666 videos?

  • i'm sorry to interrupt I had the exact same question

  • PERFECT LOL

  • I hate this people. Just tell them yes is organic and whatever you want (even if is not) they are not going to notice. I hate this king of "VEGANS" freaks. I have a friend just like that, one day I cooked for her and she was worry about her food and I said yeah baby is organic (it was not) she enjoyed the food so bad. Hate her. LOL

  • bahahaha XD this is HILARIOUS! How these people portray their characters, it's almost as if that's how they truly are.

  • less than three minutes and I already want to kill these people.

  • I work at a restaurant that specializes in local and organic foods, and I have to answer these silly questions all the time. So annoying!

  • I work at a vegan restaurant and this scene is exactly what these people are like. Not my favorite peeps

  • I can't eat gluten or dairy but I always end up just ordering the same thing at restaurants because I don't want to have to ask a million questions about my food was prepared and end up looking like this haha. also whats with the stereotype of portlanders driving slow, ive heard it here and there but other people have told me they never noticed that.

  • Haha, never noticed before the restaurant is called "Gilt"

  • Does anyone know the song they play at the very end?

  • this show hits so hard

  • I'm sorry to interrupt, I have exactly the same question.

  • fucking foodie hipsters. they're everywhere.

  • this is SO northampton, ma

  • I'm gonna ask you again, it's local?

  • This....is SO fucking true! Freaking hipsters here in Portland all do this crap.

  • This clip is obviously an exaggeration, but I really do know people in Portland who are like this.

  • HILARIOUS

  • this is local? I love this..reminds me of the pretentious, clueless, literati of Northwest Portland.

  • I did this at a restaurant once, they thought I was serious...

  • LOL best part is when he goes "sorry to interrupt, I had exactly the same question."

  • @caffeine150 Sorry to interrupt your comment, I had exactly the same comment.

  • I'm so weird with that gas pedal...the thing just moves the whole thing forward anddd

  • And and and and and and and and and and and and and you and and you have a good relationship with this farm?

  • and and and and and and and and and and and an an an and y... and y... and y... you have good relationship with this farm?
