  • what about CH3CH2CH2CH2Br reacts with water? that cant be Sn1 because the alpha carbon is primary however in my chem book it still shows a reaction through Sn2.....

  • @Chastenfregia exactly, SN1 = secondary/tert and SN2 = primary/methyl.

  • 2:10 part ...so it'll just take the neutral oxygen? but it'll still be no reaction right?
