Spent a month in this place during Desert Storm. Place was creepy even back then, but the people in the area were wonderful. Had a blast hanging out with local MOD police. They had a pub above there station. Those where the days.....
I live in nocton now, but now the hospital is securely fenced off. the police patrol the hospital every hour or so, been thrown of their a few times by the cops, but your not allowed on there anymore. if you want to get in, you have to take wire cutters and cut a hole in the fence, because the police have tied up every single hole in the fence, since it is private property you can get told off for being in there, so basically ; DONT GET CAUGHT!
@dafronz5 im not sure, when i went last there was a guards office on the small lane that leads to the hospital area but noone goes in that way and they cant see far but the best way im assuming is still through the hall, although im not sure on the guard situation now. only one way to find out.
@rustinpeace101 ahh, i went on a night visit a few months ago to show some friends round and i found going into the grounds via the hall a tad unsafe, so i think we will just risk it and walk through the main gates as there left open(hopefully), also going to be checking out st johns for the first time too, ive heard that that actually has security patrolling the area but there is only one way to find out, ill put my photos on flickr eventually if you wanted to check them out. cheers
@dafronz5 its not a good idea going to st johns, its full of labourers and workers as they are doing work on it. We managed to sneak around them for about 3 hours when we went before getting thrown off, but now there will probably be a lot more of them. Plus it wont look anything like my pics anymore as they have probably done a lot of work on it, i think theyre turning it into appartments.
I was working close to here today. Had my wisdom teeth taken out in the hospital in 1978; sad decline. Like the rest of the country really. The new development ajoining the old married quarters is nice though. Memories!!
me and two mates spent the night there twice. first time nothing happened but second time we were more or less pushed out lol. we all reacted at the same time and didnt know why. when we watched the video back we caught a mans voice talking to us (we were all girls) followed by the rattling of keys and fast footsteps. We were pretty open minded when we went there as nothing happened the first time. wont be going back there, its one of the scariest places ive been lol and i dont scare easy
Many of my friends served here whilst in the PMRAFNS, great memories come flooding back at the sight of this and other videos, thanks for putting these videos on.
Hi was nice to see photos i would love to find photos of how it looked when it was build I Was BORN AT RAF NOCTON HALL IN NOVEMBER 1975 as my dad was in the raf
My dad was stationed there when I was twelve (1966.) He was in the RAF. Us kids used to climb up on the windowledge of the morgue to see the bodies!! Aren't kids weird lol!!
I have seen the morgue, it's located near to the water tower, can't remember the exact building, but the remains of the fridge are still inside, from what I have seen, the morgue's fridge housed up to 3 people.
really??? fukin hell we was climbin up the water tower an all lol. al look out 4 it on thursday nite as wer doing a halloween visit. expected the fridge to house more than 3 people though. ah well, thanks anyway pal
never went in the end....pub sounded a better idea lol. but what im looking for now is ariel views of the place. wana see how big it is from the air! coz when we last went we was there for a good 2-3 hours and never explored the same bit twice.
I'm quite certain there's some birds eye views on Google, but I was told that there was another bit "hidden" away in a field, (if you were on the water tower roof, facing toward the morgue, but a little off set to the left, in that direction) but that I can't confirm.
thats the thing about that place. we just went in and jus explored not even thinking about how big it might be etc. u can easilyl get lost in that place. we just kept on going forward and it just went on and on! so there is a bit hidden away in a field?! from what u no do u think its reachable (im not a massive fan of walking through stinging nettles and thorns etc lol) and what part of the hospital is that?
I was stationed there 1988 through 1991. Great photos, it was a spooky place when it was active, its really spooky now. Sad to see it in this condition.
Damn i remember when this place was live and active... I live in one of the dorm buildings for 4 months in the back b4 i cam back to the states..i have tunz on pics from 90-93 when i liveD in the old house outside of nocton base for a few years...This is very sad to me..nice pix tho

lol, I climbed that the other day!
The fridge's still freaky, the actual room's covered in tiles, so you'll know when you're there!
Good luck me ode.
