  • that thing sounds amazing. i would kill for a v synth.

  • Is that a chorus effect you added at the begining with modwheel? I own a jp8080 but can't get that sound.

  • It's been a long time since you posted this in 2008 (now 2012); but I must say that I really like your sound. I'm new to VSTi's and such, but I'm eating it up fast. Congratulations to you and your little bundle!

  • It sounds very dramatic and intense. I love it.

  • dam that supersaw felt amazing

  • Jaded clubbers talk mess about SS, but nothing else can touch it in terms of absolute beauty. Long live Supersaw!

  • Love this..... May I use that melody at 2:40?

  • such a good sound

  • Comment removed

  • i love tis !! sustain and long relase supa saw sound and a bit detune !

  • If you want to release 45 -60 mins of what you were doing from 0:00 to 2:18, I'd buy a copy. :)

  • This sounds amazing. I would love to have this set -up, some day.

  • OMG I LOVE LOVE the sounds around 3:14 to like 3:45....that is amazing...if that is only coming from the SYNTH XT ....I GOTTA HAVE ONE>..never heard anything sound like that good ..........What were the settings at that time if you could tell me? Sweetwater says that product is unavailable ...so its gonna be hard to find one....I am new to this and want to know if you think its something i should have or not. ? anything cheaper or similiar i could use...thanks

  • Who the fuck buys an access Virus to play supersaws when you can play them on basically any synth on the market today.

  • @ZackISsLVA for one, this demo is of the v-synth, not the virus, but in any case i doubt anyone buys a virus just for that - it's just nice to have that option with the virus's sound engine. its supersaw (with its own detune function) plus the unison mode + detune makes it a good bit more flexible and massive sounding than just any other synth with a supersaw.

  • @robbieboo0 sorry, no fake playing here. never. just fyi, the sound is not coming from access virus but roland v-synth xt. the virus is just a midi controller here. thanks for watching.

  • @robbieboo0 I'm Dan Wray, I made that sample pack, This guys is not fake, I guess I cleared that up;-) Feel free to check out my soundset though guys. I dont know if he uses my patches or not but if not I have a volume 3 released next week;-) Cheers DW

  • @robbieboo0 but he's using the v-synth.

  • How dare you even say that, i followed this guy for years and he is AWESOME :D

  • Respond to this video... Can you please reupload this video you had a few years ago with this extremely catchy piano lead?(it was an electro-ish song with a nice bassline to it i simply loved it :) You probably know which one i'm talking about...

  • @robbieboo0 Dude, you failed big time. Just delete your comment and avoid being laughed at....

  • Tugging on the heart strings

  • nice sound:)

  • Love this

  • Can I have your keyboard?

  • wow, great sounds !! =D

  • are you making that with the Vsynth or the Virus?

  • oh my God! what a sound! :O wooooow

  • you gotta love the virus ti

  • stunning sounds . cool video

  • Used the little tune you played there for a few and made this song, really inspired me :) any pointers also ?

  • Does anyone else find it ironic that here we have the Ti Polar, and the V synth, two amazing modern synthesizers with deep synthesis engines, yet the highlight here is one waveform from an old VA?

  • @VectronMusic "Ironic"? No.... Funny? Yes...

  • @ussike30

    then buy a jp-8000 for $500

  • Damn awesome... :O

  • amazing!

  • the ti polar came out int 2004 right, its like an upgrade to the Indigo. How much do you think a polar ti would go for now adays?

  • the ti polar came out int 2004 right, its like an upgrade to the Indigo. How much do you think a polar ti would go for now adays?

  • @MathinkysMusiq

Polar was introduced in 2006 with the original TI range. I'm pretty sure the original TI polar is worth at least about $1500. Which is kinda odd, considering the virus C desktop can be had for about $850.

  • man, the Polar is so nice

  • phat

  • This tune make me high

  • What kind of keyboard is that?

  • some good sounding stuff there. right on bro.

  • nice hardware xD, controlling a v-synth with a virus Ti, that's fun.

  • i noticed when i play my sh 201on high notes in the supersaw it makes a disgusting noise is this something that happens with yours , is there any way around this and what is making up that patch as i have a sh 201 which is meant to have similar sounds . i cant seem to get it sounding as rich , would you be able to comment on this harsh digital problem that sems to be associated with these new roland synths ?

  • how would youy describe the v-synth next to the virus? which is more versatile, fatter and comfortable

  • great work!

  • that sounds freakin sick!! Had to trade my V-Synth to afford the Polar! Maybe will have both together someday

  • The Star Wars synths :D

Nice contrast between the Black Darth Vader V-Synth and White StormTrooper Virus Polar :D

  • perfect

  • Can the same type sound exist on the virus?

  • amazing man!!!!!!!!!

  • omg if Tiesto had this he MIGHT make good shit for a change

  • He probably does have it, he probably has several, and every other piece of hardware there is.

Hardware is rarely the the main problem, it just provides a full, professional sound quality. Everything else is up to the musician.

  • exactly - also more versatile * in some points

  • *puke* I could never afford your gear....

  • Ah n1 =) Virus Polar =) sexy colors i got the TI 2 Desktop edition =) greetz from germany

  • Dieses Equipment würd ich mir auch gern leisten können.

Feine Sache die du da machst! :)

  • Is it you, Paul Keeley?

  • omg this is f*cking amazing!!! love it!!!

  • I actually liked this. I usually don't like this kind of movies. But this was interesting :) Nice melodies!

  • omg!!! Insane man!!! I wish I could make nice pads an ambient music =(...My friend is good at it, but I am better with acidic synths =/..

  • Damn that was great.

  • Dude this has got to be how portal music was made :D

  • damn, now that's some seriously "big" sound ;]

    what's the synth?

  • It's a virus TI Polar, but I think he's controlling the Roland V-Synth Module

  • Juuu, nostalgie .. vidím tam Vmixa ... a gro Vsynt ... těšííím .... btw. aha, ty šlapeš na hold pedal ... to se musi taky naučit ..

  • you play on a v-synth through a virus?

  • Sounded like Terminator in the end

  • I FUCKING CAME

  • Wicked video m8, what the mixer you have in the corner, i`ve been looking for a good small format for ages?

  • Roland VM-3100 Pro

  • yeah, it's vm3100 pro, very cool mixer... sorry for late response, i think i replied you on myspace though... i sold it to L00m33r, he may wanna sell it to you if you make him an good offer... ;-) (they are all over the eBay anyway)

  • Awesome. Reminded me of Brad Fiedel's score for Terminator - esp. at 2:25 when you've got the two oscillators running with the detune at 0.

  • so beautiful 10/10

  • aaaaahh greeaatttt thats a beautyfll vibe man 5/5! im on heaven now hehe

  • Epic

  • what is the other machine you are using there?

  • the keyboard is access virus polar and the thing in the rack is roland v-synth xt :-)

  • Hi! What is this master keyboard?

  • access virus polar TI

  • I love these 2 pieces! I just have the Virus Classic but wouldn't trade or sell it 'cause it's just such a playground. Have to make do with an SH-32 for "real" Roland supersaw (PCM but damn good). Keep posting! Cheers...

  • virus is great!!!

  • how much did the stuff cost?

  • i bet its around 5g's in all lol

  • v synth is amazing...i have both vsynth and virus. i go more to the vsynth for texture sound. virus is my 2nd axe though.

  • How do you make the sound stay so long? Is it on some special sustain pedal? Full amp release?

  • it's sustain pedal

  • a sustain pedal is very easy to make if you want one, just a switch on a guitar wire.

  • ERES UN CRACK!

  • i have the ti, and the "super saw" is nothing like the supersaw you can get with the 8000

  • mackienovation , maybe its the original and best?

  • yes. The TI is awesome in it's own right though. It looks like your using your V-Synth as the sound module. Is this true? I wish they would have made independent filters (that you could also link to the 3 lfos) for each oscillator. That would make the new virus almost perfect.

  • i love the atmosphere effect. what kind of effects are used with the patch?

  • reverb + delay

  • wow..it's awesome you have both, here's a question...i hear the virus is darker and the vsynth sounds brighter, Can you darken the vsynth supersaw to replicate the virus ?, if you could only afford one which would you get ?, I'm all softsynth but still on the fence about blowing that kind of money for hardware, thanks !

  • they're both good synths... but if i could get just one, i would get virus... bigger polyphony and multitimbral...

  • That sounds so awesome !!!

  • man this sounds so awesome.. let me have your equipment.

  • Okay so I have an interesting question.

HOW IN THE HELL DID YOU AFFORD TO PAY FOR ALL THAT EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT!!!!!??????

JUST THAT SYNTH ALONE COSTS ALMOST 3000 US dollars!!!!

THEN YOU GOT A TOUCH MONITR AND A MIXER!!!! AND GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE.

I want what you got so tell me how you did it lol

  • Learn how to save bruv...

  • I know man but this dude has got (and im making and educated guess on this) over 15 stackz on that set up hes got. And hes not signed with anyone?!

i mean i would like to be able to save some money up for some of that stuff but im only 19 and im in school full-time. Its kinda hard to do at this point. So I guess Im stuck with my shitty set up until I get a good position as a stock broker in 6 years.....hhahahahahaaha

  • Well I guess you answered your own question then ;) You're 19, can't affor stuff like this yet :P I'm 16 tho, gotta wait even longer. :'(

  • HAHAHA!!!! Yea you understand my pain then!!!! hahaha

and hang in there brother, you dont wanna grow old too too quick now. Stick to that FL/Reason and a good old MIDI controller until we can get this kind of stuff.

  • Get a good job and dont waste money on cars

  • i didn't buy it all at once! :-) i bought it like in two or three years... if you love music you don't need to be signed or crazy to spend money on equipment...

  • it sounds good but it looks not so diffecult

  • Man you gotta do something with those skillz ...

Like other people ask... do you have a "finished" creation... if you do than type some names so I'll search

    you are amazing dude

  • And oh, I need a V-Synth SO bad right now.

  • I know this was just a video to demonstrate a few pad sounds, but have you made any tracks/songs?

If so, I'd be interested in hearing it.

  • i have some sketch mp3's :-) they aren't actually finished/mastered etc... but you can check my other videos out ;-)

  • wow.. thanks.. do you already have a track that i listen to?

  • im new to this thing.. can i ask a question?

whats the name of that little black monitor?

  • it's desktop/tabletop/module/rack synthesizer roland v-synth xt and it's BIG color touch lcd... to be honest, it doesn't work that well and knobs/buttons would be much more handy... oh well...

  • this put me to sleep lol

  • good night! :-)

  • do you learn how to do this stuff on your own? or do you go to a music university or something?

  • i do it for fun... you don't need to go to music university to do stuff for fun :-)

  • i may have to concsider getting one of these v synth xt's. they look the stuff!

  • Holy shit, a v synth and virus polar!

  • hi, have you compared the supersaw from the v-synth to the hypersaw?

  • i would say that roland sounds more clear (not to much overtones in the complex chords) so it's better for pads and long release sounds. hypersaw, to me, sounds "harsh" and "dirty" and i even tried to program that beautiful supersaw pad. i came very close, but it sounded different... when you are used to roland's supersaw oscillator, you would know what i mean...

  • nice synths, i wish i could have either of those but i only have a jp8000

  • jp8k is very powerful synth and I almost cried when I had to sell it... :-(

  • lol, that sucks but at least u got some good replacements that surpass it

  • dude can you play both the Hypersaw ont he virus and the one on the ROland???!?

  • I don't think that would be wise. Its pure ultracheesy awesomeness could rip our dimension apart or cause a distortion in time and space. The Universe would collapse, because that would be so orgasmic.

  • this is the roland vsynth playing correct? aka the jp80x0 supersaw and not the virus.

  • yes, in this video, virus is only the midi controller.

sound comes from v-synth xt and it's the jp8k's original supersaw oscillator...

  • Is that a preset patch or an initialized one?

  • this is a tweaked preset patch :-)
