I own both games tacoRme and I will say Ace Combat is a lot better my friend. Hawk 2 is glitchy and not even fun to play at all. They really nailed Hawk 1 but did not do very good on its sequal. Even the story sucks and gameplay is not up to what Ace is. I hope this gives you what your looking for.

That's not true, the game forces you to use DFM in most cases, and in multilayer you have to use it if you hope to accomplish anything.

@Varkzii yes and yes. you can change the way your plane looks as far as colors go and theres a good list of planes to pick from. as for being worth it, it is in my opinion cause i am ace combat fan so thats what i think. i would be glad to offer any help i can :)

The singleplayer to this was really fun though the story wasn't as good as Ace Combat:The Unsung War. Still the the way plane sdisintegrate is what i have always wanted.

@eztierkol awesome game man! check the metacritic scores. the gamespot guy was a diehard ace combat fan and he was upset b/c they made the game easier for people who are new to the series. the game is fun as hell! you will die alot but once you get the hang of it and level up, you will get better.

@AWSMFOX Maybe because this was recorded only 2 days after its release and people still had to learn how to use the DFM properly online. On top of that, this guy's really good at this. Wait for a few weeks and I'll assure you we will be having dogfights with at least 3 counters for each fighter

@AWSMFOX well i played ALOT of ace combat 6 and worked my way up the leaderboards so that helps. at this point i was in the top 20 in this so as for its easy to shoot down other players its easy if the person you are in DFM mode with doesnt counter well. now i have to say that i have already played some of the aces from ace combat 6 and this is harder then ace combat 6 just cause its much faster and the DFM mode makes it a very intense battle so dont think its too easy cause its not all the time
