nice racing man and avoid all the wrecks i drive a senior rotax i wanna get a shifter but in canada around me nobody runs them anymore we all run DD2 with i high and a low gear
I wanna see the rest thats some damn good driving there smooth and fast, showing everyone how racing should be done I'm trying to find one but I want a really good one but still in my price range would you suggest a Honda CR125cc?
can someone give the names of a few good companies that manufacture these karts that are ready to race. Im wanting to get into the sport and would like some good places to start reading. Any help would be appreciated.....Thanks
realy good driver um 1 ? ur sponcers do thay pay u evry time u race or just one time plzzz anser back soon.oh 1 more thing im 12 do i need a jump suit and stuff or do i were my clothes and a helmet??
@shadowprinceofevil I recommend getting some experience in slower karts first. Once I find money (I'm seventeen) I'm going to get into some types of motorsports that are similar...
not traditionally but you can get them put on, it helps because you no longer need to take your hand off the wheel to shift. my ICC shifter is in the workhop now getting paddles put on :)
OMG i live in grand junction and I have a commar 50 trying to get a mini max but I race on that track all the time do you you know chris? Darren? Richard? p.s. take the corners wider when you come to that turn on the straight away! You need to STAY on the left side!Wich you are doing good job but why woyld someone take advice from a 50/minimax
This time of year there are some pretty good deals on used stuff. Craig's List is one source. It would be good to find a roller that has a radiator and the needed shifter components already there. Most shifters are Honda Cr or purpose built Icc motors, so you're going to have to dig a bit to find an Exhaust pipe and the little things, but you can do it. If you're just going out to have fun and get some track time, the Kx would be cool. If you want to compete, consider a Tag kart, 125cc clutch.
Big maintenance meaning new pistons, piston rings etc. First 2 are great for hobby-karting, ICA, ICC, F250, Superkart etc are much more serious and money-eating.
Those hours might not be absolutely exact, they're just what I remember.
to me it doesn't sound like he does, i know my son lets it off a little whne he upshifts and his engines tend to last what would be about a half race longer, so it makes littel difference but its good practice for when you get into cars to let off when you shift, however its not necessary in 2-stroke karts
hey u seem like u kno what ur talking about. im wanting to get into karting and im having trouble finding a chassis. i have an older kx125 dirtbike motor i can use. i think its a 01 or 00. anyways do they even sell tonykarts or birel in america? or whats a good american chassis i could get.
If the engine produced more power you would definately have to, but rolling off the power slightly produces smoother shifts (more predictable weight transfer) and longer life of both engine and transmission.
ICC isnt always faster lol. I've beatin' many people with my Honda 125cc. It just depends on your set up and jet and tire pressure and gear ratio and much more i just dont fell like listing.
Not sure where all the negative comments come from. Not sure you would like people making uninformed comments about your racing. It's just a video clip dude. If you're that superior to my son, I'm happy for you. We just like to race without all the Bullshit. Oh and Icc is not our only class we race, Armando Arends from Puerto Rico. I hope future sponsors see you as a good sportsman in the sport and a good investment.
hey i want to get into karting. do u kno any good places to get parts? chassis?? lol i have a kx125 motor i could use too. any help would greatly be appreciated
Daaaaamn I wrote all this bullshit. Wow that was a long time ago I was looking at the vid and saw my comments. My bad for being an ass lol really. Good luck racing !!!!
Oh and ICA drivers are better Drivers than ICC Drivers.Icc drivers correct their mistakes downshifting jaja you suck keep posting vids an comments thats what you are good at hjajja
It's a 125cc Pavesi Icc motor. (Swedetach built) Roman races in Colorado and we have pretty size fields for the shifter classes. This motor has 6 speed gearbox. Check out our Monaco video listed under "shifter kart" even though it is a single speed clutch kart. I will post more of the event when I have time. That is a 250cc twin 4 stroke that produces tons of torque and is fun as well, but definitely different.

What's the average lifespan of a kart engine? (I'm guessing a shifter's engine is a lot shorter.)
Peetgilb 3 years ago
around 15 hours
viksantaclaus 3 years ago
Raket 120cc:
"big maintenance" every 100 hours
Rotax Max:
"big maintenance" every 50 hours
ICC shifters:
"big maintenance" every 5-10 hours or so.
Big maintenance meaning new pistons, piston rings etc. First 2 are great for hobby-karting, ICA, ICC, F250, Superkart etc are much more serious and money-eating.
Those hours might not be absolutely exact, they're just what I remember.

ok well armando, i do have to agree with one of your point's.
ICC drivers just correct their mistakes by down shifting.
TaG and ICA are all about smoothness and rythm
sroadrunner20 4 years ago
Are you stupid?! of course icc is faster than ica! i have driven both and icc is much faster and more demanding.
Hawksworth28 4 years ago
and your a dickhead thinking your top shit lmao
EnterTheWolf 4 years ago
ICC is faster straight forward, but ICA often has the best lap-times. Depends on the track.
bjornar83 4 years ago
right, in some tracks is better an ICA than an ICC because ICC has to change grears and it makes lose time. However, ICC is very very fast.
