  • I have a tattoo of a blur ringed octopus because I think it's an awesome creature

  • that thing is angry

  • lol little guy goes apeshit at the seaweed at 0:13

  • I read up on the poison components/symptoms.

    Ugh... that sounds absolutely terrible.

At least it is kind enough to warn you before it administers its brutal venom.

  • its beautiful

  • lol i thought he was pretty.....prettty deadly ; O

  • It looks so irritating!

  • i wish they weren't deadly so so cuuute!! :3

  • @Nakor420ish Yeah, imagine you didn't like someone and told them to clean the aquarium with THIS in it. Hahahaha

  • @whitebloss0m That would officially make you a DICK!

  • @Nakor420ish Indeed, but hey, i'm not saying i did it, i remember reading it off a comment somewhere :o

  • immah hug it, brb :o

  • me and my mates caught 2 of them the other day and was playing around with it! i was even gona take it home with me to put it in my tank unil' a fisherman walked by and said that shit is deadly so we threw it back in the water.. scarey but looks cool when it lights up

  • @bahok123 You are an an idiot, good thing you threw the poor creature back, because people like you should not have things they know nothing about....

  • @morganmccreary how the fuck am i supposed to know idiot? i just said i we threw it back into the water after the fisherman told us about it. think before you say shit you stupid bitch

  • if i were to film one of these things, id keep at least 50 meters with a camera that can zoom in and focus an image, either that or just make sure im in a cage that can keep it away from me

  • seriously? beatoven? isnt this a little dramatic?

  • @sengfar964

LOLX din think too much of what music to go with it.

  • @sengfar964

If you were bitten by a Blue-Ringed Octopus - The resuts would be pretty dramatic...!

  • @sengfar964 LOL very funny, man.

  • Ok, so if this guy only displays the blue rings when it's about to attack... Usually that means that an animal has to be pretty pissed off to attack, or have a very aggressive tenancy and this creature seems to be more defensive than anything else, so it seems to me that it doesn't seem to like the constant camera flashes and shit shoved in front of it's body. Just a little observation.

  • i feel like ultra-violent...

  • aww i just wanna hug it...

  • music fits very well ! nice vid

  • 0:13 he kind of flipped out

  • Cute but deadly. I'm a boy and I say it's cute.

  • you first woudnt say it is the blue ringed octopus

    the last part is cute

    he is confused

he wants to hide and yet his rings are flashing

and hes breading heavy and fast pour guy

  • it moves like a walking hand

  • this octopus is the the sixht poisonous animal in the world and its the most poisonous octopus in the world!!!

  • Am I weird for finding this octopus incredibly cute?

  • @whitebloss0m no, just remember that it can kill a full grown adult in just 90 minutes without proper treatment

  • @sengfar964 Ahahaha, xD Well.....

  • @whitebloss0m not only you..

  • @whitebloss0m they are cute, but SO deadly.

  • Lmao. He got scared.

And notice how even when he thought he was in danger, he flashed his rings as a warning instead of attacking.

Why don't you learn about the animal before you make stupid comments? :'P

  • lol what was it attacking?

  • these littke guys are so cute. and by the way wouldnt you like to have like 8 ways to shut the fuck up!

  • 0:25

  • they are not evil. people only get bitten if they step on it or if they pick it up. It wont come to attack you. They are actually pretty gentle.

  • these things are evil

they paralyze you and after a minute or so you can't breathe and appear dead to world yet completely aware of your surroundings...so if you got bit by one and nobody knew it they'd just think you're dead and you'd have to watch yourself be put in a body bag...worst death ever

  • but that doesn't make them evil, that's them trying to defend themselves just like snakes, sharks and other wild animals. They kill humans (bruttally sometimes) but that doesn't make them evil, their just being themslves as wild creatures ^^

  • yea I know I didn't seriously mean they are evil lol, just extremely dangerous. The only animal which is capable of actually being evil...humans. ^^

  • oh ok....and yes i agree with you right there man

  • no no leave it alone if you dun like it

  • that's the nastiest little critter i have ever seen in my life! kill it!!!

  • Kill it? How about we kill you? Just because its engineered with protection for survival doesnt mean its nasty it means you are. You deserve to die you filthy excuse for a human.

  • how the hell can it been engineered to survive after it's been up your mom's butt? Kill it while it's hiding in your mom's buttcrack, zacmac!!

  • man, fuck you then!! i was just trying to save your mom from tentacle rape!!

swallow a blue ring you ungrateful twit!

  • blue ring got scard lol

  • At 0:14 when it changed colors I couldn't help but say, "oh shit!". If I saw that I'd be fascinated but I'd back away real fast!

I've been researching octopi for my biology final and your video came up. Very cool.

  • I'm glad it help

  • the fact that these sumbitches are so tiny and blend in so well is just pure paranoia fuel.

  • well said....The 2nd time I spotted this sumbitches it was next to my hand while taking microshot.

  • so poisonous but a local fish shop says they sell them

  • ha ha ha fill it with acid or rare piranhas better lol

  • i want to have one in my pool! and never go in it.. warn people of they go on they die lol

  • This creature is not to be messed with. Once their pissed off u better leave them alone cos if u dont they will attact u, and once they bite u, u are pretty much stuffed (u prob wont feel the bite) and there is almost nothing u can do about it. There are no cure for this creature SO BE CAREFUL!!!!!

  • acually the venom wears off after a few hours, it shuts down the cardio vascullar system so if u can keep somebody alive with c p r till they get to a hospital they will survive. so yes there is a cure

  • I know that but i meant as in like anti venom things

  • the blue ring octopus is one of the most dangerous creatures in the ocean. The worst news about them is that when they bite u, u cant feel the bite ,the blue ring octopus octopus injects a neuromuscular paralysing venom. The venom contains some maculotoxin, a poison more violent than any found on land animals. The nerve conduction is blocked and neuromuscular paralysis is followed by death. The blue-ringed octopus poison is powerful enough to kill an adult human in minutes

  • Deadly, but beautiful.

  • amazing creature

  • AWESOME !!

  • yes yes, watch it scurry about

  • looks so awesome

  • I know a guy who found a box jellyfish on the beach and he scooped it up with his thong and carried it back to his beachouse and put it in there old fishtank with a heap of saltwater and it died within minutes and he threw it back into the ocean. pretty pointless story but if it had got to him he coula died

  • those are so intense. this dude one time put one on his solider to take a picture, and it bit him and he died..don't ever mess with them or anything in the ocean for that matter.

  • actually i recall small aquarium selling one of these guys for 80 bucks near a king eggroll before.

  • yes you can look but dont touch or else it'll be the last thing you touch.

  • Well I just find this music suit the clip and it with the software so I just use....ke ke ke.

My final words on this small fellow is "See no touch"

  • hey this song is from double cleff fm in gta liberti city stories

  • respiratory arrest leading to cardiac arrest due to a lack of oxygen. The toxin is created by bacteria in the salivary glands of the octopus.

  • The octopus produces venom that contains tetrodotoxin, 5-hydroxytryptamine, hyaluronidase, tyramine, histamine, tryptamine, octopamine, taurine, acetylcholine, and dopamine. The major neurotoxin component of blue-ringed octopus venom was originally known as maculotoxin, but was later found to be identical to tetrodotoxin,[1] a neurotoxin which is also found in pufferfish and cone snails. Tetrodotoxin blocks sodium channels, causing motor paralysis and sometimes

  • cool where do i buy one

  • Well this is one tough question I can't answer and don't wish to answer. It is very dangerous to keep one, you might know the deadly of it but not others around you. I beg you to drop this idea of keeping one.

  • just to let u no blur ringed octopus is the most dangerous see creater welll nilly the dangerous see creater in australia it will kill u in 5 mins

  • Well said...it is dangerous does safe to watch BUT no touching.

  • The Chironex Fleckeri (Box Jellyfish) is more venomous.

The tentacles can be up to 3 meters long, AND if one of those tentacles touch you will die in 3 minutes.

  • They may be dangerous but i wouldnt say more dangerous than the blue ringed octopus (my opinion). They carry enough poison to kill 26 adults within 3 minutes and their beak can penetrate a wet-suit. Once they bite you these things start to happen

Hazy Vision. ( Within seconds you are blind.)

Loss of sense of touch, speech and the ability to swallow.

Within 3 minutes, paralysis sets in and your body goes into respiratory arrest.

  • The Blue Ringed Octopus can kill 26 adults in 3 minutes, but the Box Jellyfish can kill 60 adults in 3 minutes. You have a higher chance of being killed by a Box Jellyfish too considering their tentacles are up to ten feet long and they are nearly invisible.

Ask yourself, would you feel more scared being in a pool with a fully grown Blue Ringed Octopus or a Box Jellyfish?

  • That maybe true but more ppl have known to survive box jellyfish than blue ringed octopus. You may have a higher chance to get stung by a box jellyfish, but u have more of a chance to die from a blue ring octopus

  • tough question. But I would take my chances with the blue ring octopus, if I didn't have a choice. If I can avoid thge octopus, and it avoid me I should be right.

The box jellyfish in the other hand is harder to avoid.

  • Yes...it can be found in the Pacific Ocean, from Japan to Australia.

  • where can i find one? i live in victoria. Can you find them in random rock pools?

  • yea

  • I've picked up one of them when I was younger. It was a baby one. I didn't wake it up so I didn't die fortunatly.

  • hope that luck stay with you all the way

  • Great video, thanks for putting this up.

  • Welcome...hope to put up more stuffs in times to come.

  • Welcome... ;-)

  • nice vid m8. what would happen if a full grown Blue ring octopus was near a full grown box jellyfish would they fight ?

  • No sure...dude...never see or try to put them together.

  • The box jellyfish's sting would kill it instantly.

  • no, blue ringed octopus only grow up 2 a golfball size and it wouldn't fight unless it was provoked or taken out of its home water. : ) and that goes the same for the box jellyfish, except their whole body (including tentacles) grow up 2 3 and a half metres long : )

  • that is the coolest octopus ever!!!

  • thank you.

  • that looks so freaken scary...

one sting u r soooo dead....

  • just stay a good distance to watch is safe. cos most of the marine life a shy type.

  • man u better hope that thing dosent sting you

  • ke ke ke thanks mate, if it does touches me I won't be able to post this video.

  • yeah
