Wow so somehow Jeb Bush knew that Florida would be so close and that somehow a marginal 57,000 votes could change which way the state went? haha wow man, this is fubar.
That Florida would be a "photo-finish" was common knowledge months before election day. Your use of "marginal" is simply absurd in this context: 57,000 is a lot more than 537.
The corruption of the 2000 election, from massive illegal vote-kiting (that happened again in 2004) to the "Brooks Brothers Riot" to Bush Sr. appointees on the Supreme Court arbitrarily killing a badly-needed runoff election, is hardly controversial at this point.
