@FakieInwardHeelflip1 It's probably because there's grass on the side, which makes it that much safer. Also, because of the angle he curved into it was natural to ease onto the rail. If he did the middle rail, he would have slipped easy if he didn't turn at the perfect time... he would have also had a face full of stair.
