Waking up first, it would be tempting for her to incapacitate him (or worse) as he has lied to her, endangered her safety through stupid driving, and given the signs of being a stalker with dangerous intentions.
As bitchy as she is, he really comes across as a manipulative jerk taking the short cut. How many people have been conveniently disposed of on roads like this? What is his motivation for doing this? If it is completely innocent, than he is merely stupid for driving on an unplowed road in such conditions.
Why didn't the other car stop? So, the other car just went on by it's business. But, he was waiting for her in his car? I mean, what? She was looking for him. He was sleeping in his car. So. She doesn't know him except the fact they had a class together. This is getting interesting.
So far this movie is like a bad version of the opening road trip from "When Harry Met Sally." But without the clever dialogue. Or interesting characters. Or even a discernible plot line. I'll give it some more time, but so far, things look bleaker than the weather in this film.
