Hey, I am new at playing the guitar. How long would it take me to learn how to play this song? Right now I am just learning chords and getting use to finger picking. By the way, how hard do I have to press a fret to prevent buzzing? I'm not sure if it's the guitar or just me but is my finger nail suppose to turn white when I hold the fret down (usually 1st or 2nd fret buzzing the worst)?

increase your finger strength. keep playing and you'll get there. and yeah because the meat below ur nails is pressing against the back wall of the nails. take a rubber band and clog up one finger and you'll know =D

other than that. buzzing is because u're not holding it down right or your fingers are not strong or steady enough yet. also check on the bridge of your guitar and the head as well. sometimes poor string installation causes that

@itchyfingers89 dude, its all about practice and muscle development. he also has a classical, which is easier to keep from buzzing than steel, but your fingernail should probably turn white. and if youre just starting out, i wouldn't start on this song, maybe put this off until you get the muscle memory.
