Hi, it's probably different for all birds, but in my case I put my hand flat on her back between her wings, and then turn her upside down. But she always liked playing on her back and still does. Often i just have to reach out with open hand and she just flips over.
My parents also have a BG, Took him almost 2 years before he finally allowed to be put on his back. And even know he never let's go of your hands, or he turns right back again.
What is the best way to hold them when getting them used to being on their back? My BG Macaw is 6 months and always tries to open his wings to avoid going on his back. Can you give me any tips please? Mine loves me and doesn't bite, even when I flip him.

She's little over 1,5 years old, So she is still a baby ;)
She's been very sick when she was just a chick. She recovered eventually after lots of pampering, and it made her very affectionate towards people.
You have a Blue and Gold as well ?
