I cant believe how you guys did this successfully. What if the two pieces of metal short out with each other...?
I´m impressed anyone could get this done, with the video being of low quality so its impossible to see how much foil thats been used or how the foil stays over the connector metal until the phone closed.
Great hack though, but a better video would be nice :)
Too much risk I would say... so I just ordered a new button with new spring connectors.
does anybody know where to find a video that you can see someone actually doing it? i dont know how much foil to use... how does it stay in place? etc... i'm not too good with electrics but i have 3 months left on my contract
Picture could have been a bit clearer when zooming in. I would have liked to have seen how much foil you used and the shape when you attached them to the contact strips but I got there eventually anyway. Thanks so much. It's been like this for over a year and now I can probably get another 6 months out of this before buying a new phone! Well done and much appreciated. :-)
My 11 year old daughter had worn both prongs down on it when I opened it up. She doesnt know I fixed it yet. But Im going to be the coolest mom ever now!!! Thanks!!!!!

Wow thanks for showing how to actually put the foil on to the phone. Thanks for your effort or lack there of
