  • I can see why he never really got that far in the charts. At the time - the late 60s, early 70s - nepotism and doing exactly what your parents wanted was definitely not hip.

  • not bad jr not bad

  • How to ruin a great song.

  • Take me out to pLace tonight.--Where the woolknit caps are tight.

    someone else continue

  • @historybuff743 and the guys in hooded sweatshirts, have forgotten that they're white.

  • He just doesn't have the swag his father had... unfortunate.

  • FAMILY GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! too funny!!!!!!

  • PITCHY!!

Sinatra Jr. doesn't have the chops or talent to pull this song off..

    Sorry LITTLE Frankie

  • not good at all...

  • @thenightlamp1 i heard some mistakes as well. good but not great

  • sounds like his dad..I know people dont like to compare but there is something about his voice that reminds me of his dad - dad is better but there is somethng similar

  • @rhdtv2002 Well, listen to Julian Lennon sing sometime, he sounds a lot like his father John (though like Frank Jr., not quite as good as pop). It's called genetics. By the way, I generally like Frank Jr. as a singer and performer but IMHO this isn't one of his best simply because I don't think "Happy Together" should be Vegasized. Not the right song for it. If you want to see Frank Jr. at his best listen to his version of "Love for Sale."

  • It would be very appropriate for Frank Sinatra Jr. to be a judge on American Idol.

  • All Sinatras are good musicians. perhaps some of the best. Perfect voice, Charming, good songs I think

  • best case to say, not like father like son

  • that was an awful performance. Poor bastard failed to hit three notes and missed 2 cues. that was not a song he knew well.

  • @MisterVandell I'd love to see you do better.

  • @radicalhalogamer lol man. Im not saying that Frank Sinatra Jr, is a bad performer in general. However, this performance in particular is weak.

  • He sings great.

  • @iamaladycanyousaveme Cool story, bro.

  • @iamaladycanyousaveme cool story, bro.

  • @danning1 I would say that W. did a pretty good job at getting out of his father's shadow.

  • 1:32 - hahaha!

    What was that!?

  • i love his songs with brian griffin

  • That was from his album titled "Genius is not Hereditary".

  • stupid question...is he dead?cause i would have no idea..and if he's not how old is he?because i don't know when this video was taken place in

  • he is very good but his father is a legend he cant live up to him no one can

  • he sounds like his father so much.

  • stale, no emotion awful, flat- just another jr song

  • i love this song

  • he sounds dead!..frank was 1million x better

  • he looks just like his father it is almost scary

  • such a big shoe to fill in.... he ok but... big shoe...

  • i think the biggest mistake his parents ever made, was calling Frank Sinatra Jr.. it whould have been so much easier for him with another name.. Bon Sinatra or Jake Sinatra... but not Frank Jr!!

  • @Mopsiha15

    how about carlos sinatra =p=p

  • @pet3rgriffin no :p

  • He hits the notes, but his voice just has no passion.

  • Did Frank Sinatra Senior ever sing this very same song? I remember hearing him in a TV ad some years ago, or maybe, it was just my imagination. Anybody knows?

  • I like listening to Frank Jnr but I cant watch him. He gets such a hard time due to the success of his father but he is a good singer if he wants Frank's kid he would get more credit for his work.

  • he is a great performer who has to live under his father's shadow... However, I like him better with all his bitter ironies.

  • @StardustValentine boolshit..he never would have made it out of the holiday inn circuit if it weren't for riding on his fathers coat-tails...but, each to his own, just passing through....

  • I like Frank, Jr.

I actually kissed him after a show he did many years ago!

  • @123Rockchild wow

  • Jr.'s Voice sounds dead, although he hits every note. There's no emotion.

On the top of everything, he tries to mimic his dad's gesture's and mannerisms.

    Really painful.

  • i agree with you very much

  • Sinatra Jr. is a great entertainer. I'm not sure if being named Sinatra was a blessing or a curse for him. On one hand, the name has certainly given more than a little help. On the other hand, he'll never get out from under his dad's shadow. Still, I happen to really dig Junior as an artist in his artist in his own right. I have all of his vinyl, and he has his own thing going on. This is a great post. Probably pretty rare. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make the post.

  • completely agree with him, the Sinatra name seems to have boosted his career but he'll always be compared to senior. although i do prefer Sinatra senior's voice, i also do like Sinatra junior's higher toned voice at times :]

.. i guess a modern day example would be Jessica Simpson and her younger sister Ashlee Simpson.... even thought there was no good music there to being with....

  • i agree but after listening again i think that he has a fantastic voice technically but its really dead any other way

  • Frank Jr is a talented musician but probably inherited his mother' looks & voice. Nancy Jr on the other hand inherited her father's looks and voice. Too bad for Frank Jr because in addition to the weak voice his delivery completely lacks any FIRE. That's why he's never had a hit album or single.

  • wow brilliant the original is great but i think this version is much better i always loved Frank Sinatra Juniors voice its great although i must say im stunned not many children of legends can do that well pure Sinatra brilliance

  • HOLY CRAP he can turn any song into pure GOLD

  • I sure Love this great performance.

I always liked this song ok...But now I LOVE this song! Nothing like the Sinatra touch!

  • I wish the opening medley was on video, too. Where's Rosie Greer? I started buying her records when I could find them after I scored this gem. She actually does a good version of "Five O'clock World." I have two others, I think she did three more on top of Once Upon a Tour.

  • I have this show on a record. Thanks for posting. The story behind the special is quite funny.
