As the words of the gundam mania reviewer, 00 pretty much improved after the fiasco of SEED destiny (shudders in agony). Plus you cannot and never deny that SEED (first one) used noticeable (or constant) recycling animation.
00 = twilight? really? that anime had little to no recycle footage, plus it was a good introduction for anyone who doesnt know about Gundam anime. AND it was the first ever gundam anime to used HD quality

Loved the original. loved Char's counter attack. was slightly amused by both SEED's because of some of the tribute to the original. and how is 00 twilight? because the gundams have that sparkling trail when the Solar Reactors is running?

UC's One Year War showed the basis of war and also a solider's life in the anime and the Battle of A Baoa Qu is still my favorite Gundam battle to date. Char's Counterattack where everybody, including Neo Zeon, tried to stop Axis from dropping on Earth at the expense of their lives was epic. SIEG ZEON!
@Hinato29 - Here's the thing tho hinato. It is not the THEME i hated about SEED. It was the flaws of its enitre series. @Hinato29 There won't be a 0079 reboot they guy who does Bright Noah's voice recently passed away and they don't do replacements. Zeta got a remaster and reboot back in 2006 with the new translation trilogy. I think the 0079 trilogy is fine as it is.
@Luigi84289 - I'm pretty sure there's an adaptation novel from the original 0079 and Animenoverviewer already mentioned that it will be animated soon since one of the developers announced it. Unicorn is already there anyways.
@maverickhunterdelta It would be great if it happened. The Novel trilogy is amazing. Way better than the show which rushed the ending due to it being pulled. That ending brings freedom to space and the Earth not an Earth controlled Earthsphere empire with side 3 having the illusion of a republican government.

@mtncal To my knowledge, the Psychoframe wasn't developed until the 0090s. Original Gundam didn't have any Newtype-sensitive equipment at all, I'm pretty sure. What you're thinking of is the Psycommu (Psychic Communicator), which is what allows for a pilot's Newtype brainwaves to communicate with receptors in whatever they're using. Even then, it was hardly the cornerstone. Only a choice amount of units even had it, since Newtype's weren't exactly the majority of the populace.
Meh.. this are the old days.. No offences to 00 fans but i just hated the show. It was just a generic mecha anime that uses Gundam name.. It was totally unoriginal as it was just another cookie cutter mecha anime.

the first series started it all in 1979, and unless you lived or were born around that time you really dont have any room to talk at all considering the fact that it was made before you were even born and you have no right to judge the new series based on the "golden days" of the first series that you didnt even live in the same era as.
0080 was technicly still during the one year war, since it takes place in the original novel timeline and not the anime timeline, so in that 0080 the one year was had still yet to come to an end
i did enjoy 0080, even though it was SERIOUSLY lacking in the action department, but the action scenes that were there were so good and well done that it really makes up for it
im not even a UC fan, just a one year war fan, personally i thought zeta or anything after zeta couldent hold a candle to 0079, though stardust memory was pretty damn decent
and anything from cosmic era should not even exist, dont call that gundam, cause its simply a high school drama with stupid looking robots

@SchizoFilms 08th ms team was good, it had its faults, the love story kinda took over and ruined it, but i love the gundam ground types and it has some of the most well thought out combat scenes
and no matter how much you hate most of the series, the final battle with the gouf is AWESOME
but yes, i do like the 08th ms team, it expands on the one year war quite nicely
@wikikomoto I'll agree with you there. The love story kinda cheapened it, but it was crucial to Shiro questioning the war, and bringing the psychological conflict into it.
The combat scenes were all very well-thought out, and I particularly liked seeing how even Gundams aren't invincible, and can even be all but destroyed by their own power. (Overheated the reactor and what have you in Unit 1)
And, I think we all want to live, marry Aina, and grow old... TOGETHER!

@SchizoFilms and i love the technical aspect of it too, they show so much of the internal workings of mobile suits, even little things like how it shows that weapons actually plug into the gundams hand, which powers it, and i love how careful they are not to hit the reactors, oh and my number one favorite scene from any gundam series ever, shiro has that flashback where it shows side 2 being attacked by zeon, and its all peaceful, then a zaku 1 blows a hole in the colony, and fires nerve gas in

@wikikomoto The original IS Gundam. While I love Zeta the first one is a real work of art. The character development, plot, military overtone, sense of realism and mature tone the whole way through (even with much of the cast being teenagers) are all honed to perfection. It's a masterpiece. What I want them to do is do a special edition with the original cast 50 episodes long like they intended. After Solomon it always seems rushed.
@jasonprime7 There are chages to the story but, for the most part, they make the story more fluid. Like, changing White base's route to a more plotted out trek through the western USA and the western coast of Latin America. Odessa occurs after the battle of Jaburo, and several othe minor changes were made. However, the story remains the same: Amuro accidentally starts piloting the new feddie prototype an gets drafted into the royal clusterfuck that is the One Year war.

I think they were originally supposed to since in the MSG novels they had a very intimate relationship. The problem was that Sayla's voice actor wasn't available for Zeta Gundam so they paired Amuro up with someone else.
Personally.. . Gundam F91 was the first Gundam to start with the wings concept didn't it? It also had different forms "Venier" or something like that... -sigh- These new Gundam fans need to be drop kicked with some knowledge.

@AndyN Old school gundam feels real. One thing about the Japanese voice actors in this is that they don't hold any thing back and give professional performances. The new stuff is too main stream and typical. The old stuff went against the grain. That's what made it so great.

@mtncal To my knowledge, the Psychoframe wasn't developed until the 0090s. Original Gundam didn't have any Newtype-sensitive equipment at all, I'm pretty sure. What you're thinking of is the Psycommu (Psychic Communicator), which is what allows for a pilot's Newtype brainwaves to communicate with receptors in whatever they're using. Even then, it was hardly the cornerstone. Only a choice amount of units even had it, since Newtype's weren't exactly the majority of the populace.

Meh.. this are the old days.. No offences to 00 fans but i just hated the show. It was just a generic mecha anime that uses Gundam name.. It was totally unoriginal as it was just another cookie cutter mecha anime.
Pretty boys, Mecha with omfg design and tons of enemies to murder. This is not the gundam that i came to love and know.

0080 was technicly still during the one year war, since it takes place in the original novel timeline and not the anime timeline, so in that 0080 the one year was had still yet to come to an end
i did enjoy 0080, even though it was SERIOUSLY lacking in the action department, but the action scenes that were there were so good and well done that it really makes up for it

and anything from cosmic era should not even exist, dont call that gundam, cause its simply a high school drama with stupid looking robots

@SchizoFilms 08th ms team was good, it had its faults, the love story kinda took over and ruined it, but i love the gundam ground types and it has some of the most well thought out combat scenes
and no matter how much you hate most of the series, the final battle with the gouf is AWESOME
but yes, i do like the 08th ms team, it expands on the one year war quite nicely

@wikikomoto I'll agree with you there. The love story kinda cheapened it, but it was crucial to Shiro questioning the war, and bringing the psychological conflict into it.
The combat scenes were all very well-thought out, and I particularly liked seeing how even Gundams aren't invincible, and can even be all but destroyed by their own power. (Overheated the reactor and what have you in Unit 1)
And, I think we all want to live, marry Aina, and grow old... TOGETHER!

Really, that had to have been like my favorite part of the series. Tactics. It's not about some Newtype badass kicking Zeon ass. It's about 5 soldiers doing their best to survive the onslaught.
And, I absolutely loved how Gundams were trashed by little things.

@SchizoFilms and i love the technical aspect of it too, they show so much of the internal workings of mobile suits, even little things like how it shows that weapons actually plug into the gundams hand, which powers it, and i love how careful they are not to hit the reactors, oh and my number one favorite scene from any gundam series ever, shiro has that flashback where it shows side 2 being attacked by zeon, and its all peaceful, then a zaku 1 blows a hole in the colony, and fires nerve gas in

@wikikomoto The original IS Gundam. While I love Zeta the first one is a real work of art. The character development, plot, military overtone, sense of realism and mature tone the whole way through (even with much of the cast being teenagers) are all honed to perfection. It's a masterpiece. What I want them to do is do a special edition with the original cast 50 episodes long like they intended. After Solomon it always seems rushed.

@jasonprime7 There are chages to the story but, for the most part, they make the story more fluid. Like, changing White base's route to a more plotted out trek through the western USA and the western coast of Latin America. Odessa occurs after the battle of Jaburo, and several othe minor changes were made. However, the story remains the same: Amuro accidentally starts piloting the new feddie prototype an gets drafted into the royal clusterfuck that is the One Year war.

I don't think SEED is nearly as bad as AGE. beyblade-lookin' characters.... much much worse than SEED. SEED had great robot designs idk what you're talking about. They just had a lot more explosions and pew pew going on.

I think they were originally supposed to since in the MSG novels they had a very intimate relationship. The problem was that Sayla's voice actor wasn't available for Zeta Gundam so they paired Amuro up with someone else.

@AndyN Old school gundam feels real. One thing about the Japanese voice actors in this is that they don't hold any thing back and give professional performances. The new stuff is too main stream and typical. The old stuff went against the grain. That's what made it so great.
