  • I'm 14, very healthy, play American Football like a wrestler, I run along the lines like a Jaguar but this workout killed me when I did it the 5th time... I kept on going and I will repeat this every day! I can feel muscles groing when you keep doing this. Don't drop down people! Keep going!

  • @skysky511 Cardio isn't really a muscle builder, it tones and burns fat. You won't get man muscles doing cardio and aerobic excersizes. I do his videos all the time:) I love em and I am female!

  • Omg I should have stayed on my proper weeks. I skipped out and went from 1 to week 5 thinking i could do this and my heart is doing roundabouts! lol Advice is to start from the start and work your way up, never fast forward lol

  • @marymo75 LOL Yes....it is best to work your way up! Ahmad does it in such an easy move up each video....that by Week 5....you can handle it!

  • Ahmad, you made this vid to kill me..hahaha. Can do about 90% of the movements on here but with the extra weight hanging around the mid section and chest make the jumping jacks difficult to do for now. Will say that this workout really brings on the sweat fast!!!!!

  • Hi Ahmad, I'm in the first day of this training and I repeated six times the serie, but this took me about 30 minutes, but you told me that I have to make the cardio excercises for 45 or 60 minutes.

    PD: I couldn't make the part when you make the push up whit the jumps so fast like you, but I did it.

  • Hi I am into the day 3rd of 3rd week i can feel a bit better but not alot actually i am looking to lose my belly fat n so far i feel satisfy from my upper abs but lower belly fats are still there n i hate it. I am 23 and live on my own don't eat alot but eat fast food is thos a reason i am not able to lose lower abs fats or does it take more time as compare to upper abs which are in better shape now since i started your cardio tips. Thanks anyway :)

  • i did this workout and my thighs are killing me. good vid. btw how long till i see results. i was 205 now 165 but my goal is 150-155 and my thighs and butt are pretty big. but yea wen will i b able to see results ahmad

  • ok so i am a little confused i started this thing yestarday i did this week 5 twice in one day. i am suppose to try and get 4-6 reps in each day right? so today i am doing week 1 and just did week 4 and now i will do this week 5 becuase i can really feel it but i am only going to do it one time. am i doing this wrong? I feel like i am.

  • @MackaliMesut if you do your training incorrectly...you should never try to lose muscle...it's metabolic and will burn fat for you...the more you build the more you burn...your body weight is composed of fat weight as well...that is what you should be aiming to lose in weight...and replace with lean muscle...~ahmad

  • @d4rkfoenix Thanks for the question. Many ask this. You want to make a choice between either using this clip and repeating it over and over for a full 20-45 mins...OR mixing up any of the Weekly Cardio 1-12 clips for the full 20-45 mins...your choice. I have done a mix of these moves during a workout class and participants depending on fitness level and personal exersion level have managed to burn 600-950 calories with these moves...be safe...but challenge yourself always~ahmad

  • Hey Ahmad, I know it says do the other weeks before this one, but I started this one for my very first since I am very athletic, but still packing extra poundage from my food cravings. I successfully did it 5 times non-stop before taking a break, to post this. I was wondering though if it's safe for the body to keep doing several reps a day, and what is your recommended amount of time you should do between the reps? I'm just looking to shape up before summer , hopefully you can help. Thanks!

  • @luckyg521 try this...do a set of this clip followed immediately by the advanced special forces workout PT.2 clip ok? Rest for 30-45 seconds...then repeat 3-5 times...and see if this will challenge you. All of my clips are safe to do if you are healthy, have a doctor's approval, and really use common sense when doing the moves. Let me know how it goes...~ahmad

  • When I did week 1 and week 5 the next morning my legs began to hurt and when I did it again that day the next morning I couldn't walk that well and my legs started to hurt alot. Is that a good sign that I'm losing weight? Nice Video!! :D

  • @jakkrauser it's a sign you need to take a day or two off. You never want to work a muscle if too sore...on your off days adjust your eating...make it super healthy...ok?~ahmad

  • Good job!! Yeah it can really get the sweat flowing and the heart pounding...one of the best ways to burn the fat fast...most find this hard though...try and make it through the full 7 days doing this...watch how your body looks...notice the change...~ahmad

  • do you mean muscle soreness? there should be a fatigue in the muscle if your goal is on shaping and definition. Pace yourself, and work up to the correct number of reps and sets.~ahmad

  • I just started week 5, wow this one is pretty tough. Gonna stick at it and try and get through the week but at the mo can only do it twice. Is it worth carrying on with it if i cant do the recommended amount or should i skip to week 7?

  • it depends really, i struggled with week 5, and did it for a couple of weeks but was starting to get bored and had a bit of a mental block about it, so moved on to week 7. maybe do bits of both?

  • I think practice makes perfect. But as Anna pointed out, mix and match the cardio clips. You can jump around through the clips...keep it fun...~ahmad

  • all the weekly workouts say in them how many reps you should do (in this case 4-6 times)

    you should do them daily for a week, then move on to the next week.

    but there's nothing to stop you from doing them more times if you have chance.

  • It says to repeat 4-6 times.. i run a 1 1/2 mile before i do these videos.. Around video 2 im really tired.. should i complete 4 or would it be ok to do 3? I cant complete a full video yet.. the hardest part for me is the beginning of the video.

  • My suggestion: Do this clip first all the sets, then do the run...ok? Let me know detail for detail how it goes!

  • Well.. I did it.. I got all 4 down.. Its just alot harder than the weeks 1-4... I know I can do it.. I just have to push myself a lil harder. I did 4 clips.. I do my running first.. then your clips.. then another ab workout.. so for being only on week 5 its pretty tiring. But ive been doing it so far so i know i can keep going.=)

  • hey ahmad so far so good im almost at my mark to lose 10 pounds now..I have been doing the hour glass routine with week 5 3 times down for both they are still killer workouts so i guess ill keep this up. Problem is my eating i dont understand what my body needs exactly. I have protein shakes 3 times a day with small meals every 2-3 hrs to increase my metabolism I just have a lot of weight in my lower region and my upper regoin loses the fat faster Help!

  • You might need to try this: REMOVE to of the meals and replace them with the protein shakes, or vice versa...ok? You should only consume 4-5 times a day your macronutrients-proteins, fibrous carbs, and good fats. Let me know if you need further help. Watch the Lesson 3 and Lesson 4 clip again...~ahmad

  • Wow this was pretty simple ... on the first go...haha the 2 and 3rd killed me... what if you dont really even have fat and your trying to get ripped do you still do this

  • I've got a low bodyfat % but I still do these workouts for a good heart workout- keeps the heart working in it's maximum zone therefore meaning maximum benefit to the old ticker! I just have a shake after these cardio sessions (cos I don't really wanna burn calories off, i need 'em!)

  • You can still do this..always do my resistance clips first then finish the hour with the cardio clip sets...ok? How are things going?

  • I like this workout- cardio with elements of plyometrics provide a damn good heart-healthy routine! My upper range was calculated at about 168BPM and I was working at 162BPM the 3rd time I did this :) I had to have a shower... Ahmad's workouts just soak you through!

  • that's why i stopped wearing a t-shirt when working out - used to take three days for it to dry out!

  • That's bonus of training at home! I train in the bare minimum ie shorts :) still doesn't prevent some major sweatage but it's a damn sight better than wearing a t-shirt, it feels restrictive!

  • well if u lose so much in little period of time u will gain it back and more very quickly.. i dnt want to hurt myself and not to eat like u! i eat protien and during the week i eat carbs also cos body needs it! and moreover i dnt want to lose my muscles :D

  • I agree, Blackyz1. I think cutting out processed crap and sugar....as well as caffeine is a good idea. You definitely want to cut out white flour, white bread, white rice, white pasta and starchy foods that have a high glycemic value. Potatoes especially.

  • i lbs in a month aint that great but its still good that you're losing weight.

    i lost 7 lbs in the last 7 days; however, ive not been eating much and drinking a lot of water. and when i eat, its mostly protein. from meat and chicken. pretty much no sugar and less than 30 grams of carbs. im sure its not healthy but its knocked me down to 220. so right now for me whatever is taking the weight off is fine.

  • 8lbs in a month might not be that much, i'd actually say it was a decent amount. it's much better to lose weight gradually than as quickly as you have. it is also supposed to be much easier to keep off in the long run if you lose it gradually.

  • Spark people says 1 - 2 pounds a week is perfect!

  • You know...before i quit smoking...i ate yogurt for breakfast....no lunch and a late dinner. I quit smoking in April and eat 3 meals a day and a good snack. I eat 1300 to 1550 calories a day on a low glycemic diet and have lost weight. If you dont eat enough...you will lose muscle and that's not good. Check out SparkPeople. They have a calorie counter on there. You write your goal it and helps you figure out how many calories. Good luck to you!
