  • @Guitarman3348 These are discontinued. Good luck finding one. I haven't seen one of these for less then $500... and I'm sure the way people have been jacking up prices on D.A.M. pedals... I'm sure if you found one it would be $750-$1,000.

  • @sbenson76 Last one I found was $2500.

  • Anybody know where to buy one of these ( 1965 Tone Bender MK1 Replica effects pedal? I sure want one of these! Am I a year to late?

  • Killer boots man :-)

  • What's the title of the song at the end. I can't tell what the guy is singing but I like his voice. :)

  • Hi Gearmanndude. I really enjoy your videos especially the D*A*M pedal demos. I only wish that they were available in Australia. I love the 65 Tonebender Mk!.

  • black country rock by david bowie, now wheres my points?

  • First song ? Black Country Road from David Bowie (&Mick Ronson)

  • can someone tell me the title of the final song?? thanks!!

    great video and pedal anyway!

  • Are you Jack Black? Awesome pedal also :)

  • Cool pedal, I have custom made mk1 tone bender clones from PigeonFX and Ghosteffects pedals with oc75 and TI 2G381 tranny's. They are time machines, mean, nasty, gaty and great freakin tone to die for. Subjective, but those pedals eek out this one in obtaining that YARDBIRDS sound. Thats for the video.

  • WHERE CAN YOU GET ONE OF THESE PEDALS FROM SPACE??????!!!!!!!

  • shame there's not a way to actually own one, i hate demos of pedals that are unattainable!

  • I WANT ONE!!!!!!

  • Seriously.. I want a D*A*M so bad.. How can i get one without using ebay???

  • @avaram10 The Gear Page

  • Sounds pretty damn hot to me. The one Page uses is mega bucks.

  • @7byseven Let us not forget the late great Mick Ronson who played with David Bowie. He also used a MKI Tone Bender for his signature sound during the Spiders from Mars era.

  • I think Geramanndude just has some awesome chops and could make any pedal sound sound pretty darn awesome...rock it dude!!!

  • dude you sound like jack black haha

  • Gearmandude, trying to get that "ziggy" sound, is this the same as the Ronno MKI Tone Bender?

  • @surftherock1 Been chasing this for some time now! Long live Mick Ronson! "Black Country Rock"...

  • Now THAT is a fuzz! I just ordered the JHS bunrunner from JHS pedals... It's a JHS astro mess fuzz and a modded 60's tonebender in the same enclosure.

    I can't wait!

    Check em' out! JHS pedals!

  • Now THAT is a fuzz! I just ordered a JHS burunner from JHS pedals, its one of their pedals and a 60's tonebender together in the same enclosure.

    Can't wait!

    Check em' out: JHS pedals

  • Dude, are you Jack Black?!?! hahaha

  • OMG, this sounds like heaven to me!

  • ERIC WHORTON. NOT JACK BLACK. CCCCCAAAPPPPSSSS LLLLOOOOOCCCKKKK

  • @Ilovemyfender2 No, gearmanndude. Full stop.

  • The Britttttish are coming! The Brittttish are coming!

(everyone knows that they do like their teas in England...)

  • D*A*M*N*, this thing is totally awesome! Where can I get one of those? This model is not on the list at vintageandrareguitars

  • eargasm

  • def sounds like jack black

  • He doesn't sound like Jack Black, he IS Jack Black: The Humor, the money to buy all these amps, pedals, and awesome guitars, the playing style, th SG preference,.......

  • Is that Black Country Rock I hear?

  • I never knew there was a 65 model. Very tasty, indeed. Thanks for sharing this.

  • damn a awesome sound!

  • whoa wtf u sound exactly like jack black r u him?

  • Hey GMD, have you ever tinkered around to make a fuzz pedal? Seems like a MK1 clone would go REAL nicely w/ the other pedals you make. Or maybe like a germanium Fuzz Face clone, or... I dunno. Just a thought:)

  • Well, you're wrong you wily wabbit. The fuzz-Gods' first landing on planet earth was in America! And the Maestro Fuzz-Tone was born as a result; the Brits used the circuit as a template to commence their own (Tone Bender) fuzzbox design thereafter. Nice demo.

  • Best fuzz sound I've ever heard!... absolutely rippin'!

  • The opening riff is Black Country Rock, originally played by the amazing Mick Ronson. Do I get my 100 bonus points?

  • Black Country Rock homie

  • satisfaction

  • @phatsound1 and you don't just walk up to a guitar store and say "hey gimme one of 'em original mk1 benders." you'd be lucky to find one

  • What is that on the right side of the pedal?

  • @phatsound1 This one is better than the real one.

  • friggin' awzum

  • Oh my science it sounds fucking beautiful.

  • can we hear some of these D*A*Ms with single coils? (maybe even a strat??)

  • I have a Mick Ronson Signature JMI Tonebender for sale.

    Offers to my account?

  • Black Country Rock!

  • you somewhat sound like Jack Black. in fact I believe you are him.

  • Hey gearmandude

Is there any dealers in the US for D*A*M I'm looking hard at D*A*M 1965 Tone Bender Mk I Replica and the fuzzaround?

  • @djematrix No, there arent' any dealers in the US for DAM anymore. Even if there was, the 1965 and the Fuzzaround were not regular issue. Both were made in very small batches (there were only ten made of the 1965 and fourty of the Fuzzaround)

IF you find either one used, be prepared to pay big BIG BUCKS, becuase nobody wants to let them go. I saw a 1965 go for 1400, and a Fuzzaround for 800!

  • I'd check that battery...sounds a bit low ;) @2:58 the sound is unusable for professional recording IMHO.....This may be one of those pedals that you need to message to find just the right setting.

  • BLACK COUNTRY ROCK!

  • @tonewife , Dudley or Tipton ?

  • I like the jmi better

  • OMG!!! I THINK I'M IN LOVE!!!! (with the pedal of course. this thing is brilliantly amazing!!!!

  • It was the english that created vox and marshall, and the english that created the wah wah, fuzzface, tonebender, octavia, and the treble booster. Not the british lol....

  • Sounds great....As an English man, I would like to take some credit LOLO LMFAO Yet another brilliant video mate

  • These are almost impossible to find now, but I'll go out on a limb and say that I think that Fuzzfaceless are building better sounding clones anyway. They're also from the UK and have a killer stash of the right transistors. Check my channel for more info. Back to you GMD...:)

  • Where can i find one! D*A*M*N! I need it!!!

  • BritTish?!... damn Ammerricanns!

... just kidding. I'll let you off.

Nice demo. I love my D*A*M's. You gotta get hold of a Fuzz Sound MkIII man, it's my favourite fuzz pedal ever!

    Xan :)

  • Not to nitpick but isn't British spelled with just one "T"? Oh yeah, outstanding demo

as usual from the Gearmandude. Thanks dude!!!

  • not anymore. ;)

  • where could i buy one?

  • sex in my ear

  • I KNOW THE TUNE!

but that's just cuz you told me it ;)

    lolol

    thanks man (:

  • sounds like some licks from "black country rock."

  • Hey GMD could you demo some Colorsound reissue stompers???

    -cb

  • Sounds to me like George Harrison's fuzzy strat on "it's all too much" from the Yellow submarine.

    -CB

  • @mrbeautiful999 Ha, you're right...at 5:25 for a few seconds...

  • man. this is definitely my favorite pedal you've done yet. and thats a lot, hah ha

  • shit! ahhhhh. could you just mail this one to me please?! ha.

  • Holy Cow!!! To bad they are so damn hard to get...

  • From a quick check you basically can't order one of these (or the 1966) which is a darn shame as that tone is a beauty!

  • I like the jmi better

  • There's supposed to be another limited run of the D*A*M 1966. I can only dream...

  • This is the best fuzz pedal I've ever heard.

  • black county rock by david bowie give me my points!

  • Did Jimmy Page use the Mk I or the Mk II?

  • @lzsthjp

    mkii

  • mk 2 i think

  • GMD any ideas on where i can my hands on one of these man ?

  • well then, obviously you must get the mkII & demo it--it should be every bit as awesome

  • Yep, unfortunately this one's discontinued. The guys at the DAM forum can tell you how many were done - they were a limited run.

  • omg that thing is awesome

  • a Jimmy Page might say - "That sounds pretty rude"

  • GIMME ONE OF THESE PLEASE

  • Is it black country rock by Mr Bowie?

  • Voodoo child!>? GMD i want my 100 points!!!!!

  • i dont like fuzz, but tht pedal rocks!

  • GMD The site, vintagegearandrareguitars says it's been discontinued!@?! Noooooooooo

  • Holy shit....

And where can I get one of these??

  • this is one of the great fuzz pedals ever. Enough said.

  • GMD - it's "British" not "Brittish" Spellchecker man... ;-)

  • I actually prefer Brittish...

  • @gearmanndude like Britt Ekland. blonde and hot.

    easy!

  • @gearmanndude isn't it Briddish?

  • @moucon You can't question the gearmanndude, dude, man! gear! wait.. um..

  • @moucon you dont need to be so 'annall'

  • Love your demos as always! This one sounds unbelivebly good.

    Cheers from Iceland:) Skál!

  • ENGLISH, you do mean english and namely London! Clapton baby x x x

  • ENGLISH! you do mean english! :-)

  • Wow, thats is just amazing sounding, I don't know how it sounds compared to the original but this still sounds sweet.

  • Hey GMD, quick question while you have all those DAM pedals: Are the pots and or the jacks in these made out of plastic? I'd hope for all the hype and cost they'd use better parts in 'em. Thanks again for the demo!

  • love your shoes man
