@Doorbell113 What I understand is that Pripyat and Chernobyl were pretty much one. The company that owned Chernobyl also owned Pripyat. Almost the entire city lived for these power plants.
wow, I just got back from Pripyat, amazing place, so interesting to see it as it was before the accident. Its pretty weird see people around were I was seeing it as a ruin etc.
I can't believe that there has been so much life and now is the city of silence.I personally feel sad and when my grandma saw the video she started to cry :( gr33tingzz from Bulgaria ;)

@nvm0 not so much a cemetary. Only 30 people died as a result of the original explosion and they were mainly people who worked at the plant. The saddest part is there are still people suffering as a result of the fallout. I am fascinated by Pripyat, it's literally a Ghost City now and closest thing to the end of the world you will ever see, and at times probably the most beautiful.

I've lived in america for 23 years and in europe for 6 years. Where I lived in america was a shitty hole. And I've seen plenty of areas with block apartment buildings all throughout the south and northeast. I think you need to travel outside of your box to see the world through real eyes. America is not as beautiful as you would think. Nor is eastern europe as horrible as you believe. All countries have beautiful and horrible areas. Travel around more on off-touristic routes.
