Search for 1200hp STi built by a guy in California:

Ive got an impreza myself, and seen 2.5L boxer's with 670hp, but either the gearbox wouldnt handle it, or the driveshaft would break. and you must have some serious piston's to handle that kind of power : /. still...if thats a sub engine, very nicely done.

The engine has obviously been taken apart with better rods/pistons cams, bearing and lower compression for sure to handle the boost.I think that motor could handle it. But just like any engine on the edge, it usually needs a rebuild every few runs. Too much work! Just buy a litre bike and hit the high 9's all day stock.
