Heidi Bernadini, where ever you are,you were right.Today I woke up from a dream about you.I am now unhappily married to a woman who is cold as ice.I should have stayed with you.I never beat you but the mental beating you took when I left has Karma-ed me finally. You said you hoped I would go through Hell and be alone just like this song and basically,I am.I am so sorry I didnt give us a chance.Oh well,I made my bed and now I am lying in it.When my boy graduates Im going to end it.My life is over.
To L1ngP0e ~ you have to keep on keeping on, work the stuff out, it's what life is for, you can't cop out on it....you think your son would be happy with that?! Try something new, take some risks...but giving up isn't an option.
@L1ngP0e you my son are a perfect candidate for faith and trust to show
how strong HE really is. Why do you not just get on your knees and ask for Christ to come in to your life and change it w/o divorce. Ask Him to show himself and to prove to you that He does exist.
But first tell Him you are a sinner and dump all your pain on to Him.He will take it from you
That is of course you are sincere. I have been where you are for all the same reasons you think I just
@L1ngP0e Don't be stupid, brother. You got a boy. I don't know if you meant end the relationship or end your life. With a follow up sentence that says "my life is over", well it seems clear. Don't. Unless you want to hurt your boy every single day for the rest of his life.
@squizzoo before you get your grundies in a bunch, try to understand what jonh kay was trying to say about the way some men treat there women they love.i fully agree that the true fathers of todays rock were our black american legends.i like sonny boy williamson a lot. the music was not the issue here.it's the abuse that woman take and steppenwolf had the nerve to talk about it to try and stop it.this possitive.then here come the gangsters in the 90's.
@nomiclas also, i think it elucidates the effect a few thousand years of patriarchy has on society/civilization. This, I believe, also causal for the prior response. Hey, "might makes right" is not really going to benefit anyone at the end of the day.
@squizzoo to continue. 90's black artist had a creedo to treat women like bitches and ho's and beat on them.the reason i know this is my son at 12 years got into tupac and his contempories.when he got a girl friend he beat on her and disrespected her and she stayed with him.he didn't learn this behavior from me and i tried to stop him on several occasions resulting in him trying to beat on me.he just got out of prision after 3 years and has wasted most of his life missing his sons and locked up
Classic, classic, ballad. Loved it way back then, love it now. And yeah, the current music just fails when compared to this stuff. We are way over due for a musical renaissance.
went to one of there concerts at the University of Maine , in the sixties in there hay day .John Kay came out on stage and said smell the Aroma and then threw a fist full of joints out into the Aud.really set the mood .then they started playing Don,t step on the Grass Sam.it waslike groovy man l.o.l. ..
I'm so pissed that my sister lost (or probably broke) this my Steppenwolf CD. She never even listened to these guys. This is probably my favorite song on that CD. Very underrated song.
