Nah the Guts Rock is the best weapon against almost all of them. It does more damage sometimes than even the Mega Buster for the PERFECT WINS and so I disagree.

You share the common views with the others and so I am disappointed.

Also good job, I used to be able to pull this off on the actual arcade machine as well as House of The Dead back in my arcade prime during those glorious childhood years. Just recently I went back to another childhood arcade and was glad to see I was still in the top 3 on House of The dead. :)

Good to know this got ported onto PS2, I didn't know that. A local arcade around here used to have the machine for years but recently it vanished. I almost had a stroke.

Vanishing arcades are almost a proverb in this day and age. And don't worry, with the Capcom bundle-up to please Sony more than its fans and to get their disc priced as a single 3D game with their approval you're medically fine now which is obvious.

Here's one thing I don't get: I never played this game before the PlayStation 2 version came out. Around the time the game came out in the Arcade, I had bought the soundtrack to this game. The music sounds the same as it does on Megaman 2: The Power Fighters. It didn't sound anything like this. Anyone happen to know why?

Thanks. I'm sure we're both surprised the Gutsman's boulders actually work better on most other Robot Masters than even the supposedly other best weapons (that is supposed to expose their Achilles' Heel and rapidly decimate them ie Iceman's weapon on Heatman).

The one thing I didn't like was that the music didn't correspond with the right level for the robot master. They had Gyro Man's level music playing during Ice Man's fight...Napalm Man's music during Crash Man's fight, etc. Not a huge deal, but I would have preferred if it was consistent.

You know, I used to be able to get 6/7 perfects when I played it at athe actual arcade-- same settings as you.

Playing as Blues or Forte made it harder, and even then any boss set past Megaman 1 + 2 was much harder.

I didn't see Flash Man anywhere in this game. You may mean Crash Man aka Clash Man. The letters 'L' and 'R' don't translate well from Japanese. That's why you hear phrases like 'onry' instead of 'only' in gaming chat sometimes. Final Fantasy IV's character Lydia was mistranslated as Rydia because of this same thing, but Rydia ended up sticking in all the rereleases.

Very nice run, SeventhSun! This game (and the sequel) always used to give me problems, because I didn't know the charge-up spam technique.

Funny that Dr. Light says that he needs to do more research on AI programming in the ending. Yup, I'd say that's true if you can dominate the game as easily as you did here! ^_^
