  • Im based in the UK and they dont take mold seriously Ive had to move out of 4 homes now cos of this and lost money through moving again and again and again. It was affecting my lungs, I developed severe agonising chest pains cos of this.

  • @essy111 That's to bad. Mold can be very dangerous. In the state of Florida they take mold very seriously

  • "Chinese drywall"?? How about that "contaminated Chinese Floride" used down in Florida? Have you see the "Chinese PLASTIC RICE" story yet?? On and on.

There's your "global economy", "jobless recovery" for you.

    YOUR SMART RIGHT.

Did you know that ENRON's Ken Lay helped create the "Carbon Credit" scam?

You read the "Dutch Addendum" leaked during COP15, with IMF, "global governance" and "world economy" in it??

It exposed the hijacking of over 70% of the money created by the scam.

    MSM didnt say?

  • how did you find out you had mold in the walls?

  • @glabutis37 They came with a meter that was put up against the wall and it was able to sniff it outside the wall. I've never seen anything like that before

  • I live in an apt. with black mold under the bathroom tile. I have many symptoms of black mold syndrome including bronchitis that I've been getting easily. The manager was going to make the tile a summer project, but I still hadn't heard from him by Aug.I called to remind him,but he showed no interest in fixing it. I can't move because it's emotionally hard on me and I can't afford it. And I'm worried if I pester them about it again,I'll be evicted. Are there any other options so I can get well?

  • @childsweethearts If you live in the State of Flrida and some other state you have to contact the health dept. It's against the law to allow you to live in that. They are also supposed to pay for your moving expenses. Please contact the health Dept. That's dangerous.

  • wow....mold.....but u know u were so lucky that the apt. did something asap and didn't drag their feet. how did u find out u had mold? did u see it? wow to think u spent a year in a place with mold. i hope all is better now since this video was a year ago.

and thanks so much for comment on cycles.....i just learned that the lady who wrote the song died last month.

    michael

  • Hi Michael, we were smelling something for a few weeks and then had an invorinmentalist come and check it out. It was growing behind the wall of the kitchen.

Thanks for watching. By the way I've missed you. Mke more vids

  • @mettanc

Ive had mold in my apartment for 2 years and still do, my mom wont do anything about it.

  • God Bless you were compensated! My father was hospitalized for almost 90 days...alergic to mold!

  • Actually my husband should have gone into the hospital. He really was sick, but in the end it worked out fine. Here in Florida a complex could get closed down for mold. They had to compensate us

    Thanks for watching

  • hi i am dealing with sick building sydrome, due to mold at our apts, we are all sick, i wanted to ask what kind of mold straytabocus, aspergillus, penicillium? the 1st being the deadliest..did you know you could cross contaminate your is your husband better? we now have asthma, sinus infections, thyroid disease, your management did a quick response my mangeent wanted us to stay in the apt, even after the lab reports came back, i had to get a lawyer

  • Wow, they wouldn't so anything for you? Here in Florida Mold out shines any lease. It's the law. If I wanted to I could have brought them to court and shut them down. You have to get in touch with a lawyer and scream your head off.

    Good luck

  • I love your videos..

  • Hi Eddie, hey thanks for watching.

  • Welcome back from the wazoo and the dark forces of black mold. Hope you and hubby have gotten over the effects of it.

  • hahahaha The wazoo isn't a nice place to be lol. All kinds of nasty things happen there.

    PEACE

  • Most everyone has a sensetivity to mold.My friend In minnesota went through this a couple of years back.A lot of the seventies and 80s construction did not allow for condensations or sweats buildings go through with seasonal changes. So the mold would grow and worsen year to year.Add to this plumbing sweats or a leak from the roof and well it just get out of hand.Glad to see they were helpful in getting you out of that.

  • In Florida mold is considered a major no no. You can break leases ovet it or even close down entire complexes. You can sue the pants off of them and win. But we love it here and they were great. Ot they were terrified I'd get the board of health involved. Anyway wer're fine. Thanks so much for clicking onto my vid. and thanks for the sub

  • the walls wet at the back

  • I don't know, it was in the walls. We heard a dripping sound from time to time over a couple of years. It was the inspectors who identified it along with other spores

  • They don't want to be liable for yours and your husbands ill health and a possible law suit. That black mold is devastating. It seems that the management is trying to soften you a bit.

  • They have to do this for us or we have every right to close them down. But here in Florida mold is a real problem. The storms that we get plus all the rain is condusive for mold.

If we didn't love it so much here I would have sued

    Thankd for watching

  • Glad you figured that out before it got worse now hope your recover from that!

    Marcy

  • Thanks so much Marcy. I have to go take a look at your page again.

    Peace

  • I thought you broke the mold!

  • huh??????

  • Just a little play on words, darlin':) as in: "when they made you, they broke the mold!" See?

  • Oh OK, I was just checking lol. Thanks my friend

  • MOLD!! Terrible health risks. I hope you have them pay for any medical bills you accrue. People have sued and won large amounts for these mold problems, though from my sense of your character Joy, I don't think you would resort to that.

  • Naaah all I wanted was a new apartment but they paid for everything. I was even told I could have gotten them closed down. The thing is it's really beautiful here. From what I've heard they are tearing down that apartment down to it's studs and hve advised other tennants that they'd be by to check for mold in their apartments.

  • I don't know why they denied you partnership. You rock!

So glad you are feeling better! This happened to a very good friend of mine in NY. Tell Bill hello and love to you both.

  • Bill says hi to you too. We felt better from day one. incredible. As for the partnership?? All I really care about is having friends like you

    Hugs

  • Glad your back, too! Still waiting for a story you promiced me...was it about Paul Newman or Buddy Hacket? Take care, Joy!

  • That's comming next, I did a vid today. Try to watch it. It's called The Politacal Season REVISITED

  • Good to hear from you again. Hello again from Jacksonville.

  • Thanks, we are completely well now so more vids on the way.

  • Very glad to hear from you again. Glad you are better now, and best wishes.

  • Apparently mold will do that to you. Thanks so much. We're 100% better now

  • I guess my original comment didn't stick! Anyway, it's still great to see you again!

  • Hi old friend, it seems You Tube is eating comments again lol

  • Take care .

  • Thank you I will

  • black mold....(shivers) you were lucky. Some people don't survive. I think the reason they were so nice is so you wouldn't pursue litigation.

  • Yep that's exactly why, but I just heard that their going to check all the apartments. They really are terrific. Plus we feel so much better since we've moved in. Thanks so much

  • Hey Joy so glad to see you back whoohoo...what terrible situation for you and your husband but at least the apt owners were responsible enough to help you out.

YT denied you? That is crazy. Keep on doing your thang and we'll be watching. :)

  • I don't understand how this was a video response to T'Dubs State of the Union post. There was absolutely no content overlap. Otherwise, sorry to hear about the mold, but your video is like going to visit that boring, chain smokin' aunt, whose visit you can't wait to get over...

  • My friend TDubs was talking about why he's been away. Since I've also been MIA I thought it was pertinent.

  • I see now. Sorry about my previous comment, it was rude and unneccessary.

  • It's OK, sometimes Text can come across different then what you intented.

  • hahahah YES you tube is quite moldy lol

Nah it really wasn't imortnat to me, I just thougt I'd try.

It's nice to see you again ella, and it's great to be back healthy and all

  • hahahah YES you tube is quite moldy lol

Nah it really wasn't imortnat to me, I just thougt I'd try.

It's nice to see you again ella, and it's great to be back healthy and all

  • wow what a story, welcome back and I'm glad you find out what the reason was Bill was so ill. A.D. :))

  • OMG

I should have kept checking your channel for

    this video.

    YT turned you down?

    That's CRAZY!!

I bet if YouTube owned the apartment building they'd throw in a Partnership to avoid a lawsuit.

HEY! Threaten to sue YT. (joke)

They cave in like a badly made coal mine at the very mention of litigation. (no joke)

  • I know, I'll try again just for the hell of it

  • Your videos are exponentially more interesting than the videos of most of the partners. It's utterly ridiculous that YouTube denied you a partnership.

  • That is one of the nicest thing anyone has told me. With that I don't need a partnership. Thank you

  • Geez I remember answering you and now it's gone. Thanks so much for commenting. Yanno I never thought about mold ever. It was our doctor who put it together. We feel so much better now. I hope this answer goes through

  • Yep...we're done with owning the house and all that and lease a really great townhouse. I live in Arizona where it's very dry but mold does happen in a/c venting...the year I lived in FL I was so sick I thought it was in my head until I realized it was the mold.

With what I'm finding out I'm not sure the partnership program right now is such a great thing. Skipping it for now.

I've been pretty much MIA also since early Feb and after several outpatient operations I feel better than in years.

  • Oh wow please take care of yourself. May I ask what those operations were for? You can PM me.

Renting for us is the best thing. With the economy the way it is now I have no worries and I no longer have to pay for the upkeep of the house. It frees us up tp enjoy life again.

    Take care of yourself

  • oh it's no big secret...I had large kidney stones in both my kidneys that had to be removed. I've been having all kinds of minor problems for several years and chalked it up to different stuff until I had an attack at the beginning of Feb...those things are painful when they strike!

With this economy, in the state I live in, renting is the best option. Shacks in the barrio with bullets whizzing past were literally going for $200K...no way were we buying after selling the last place.

  • I'm glad you're ok now. That had to be painful.

I loved how you discribed the barrio and it's true. You can't sell a house at all these days

  • Great to have you back. Sorry to hear about all the mess.. Hope things will be better for you and your husband from now on :)

  • Hey Nick. Thanks for the comment. Amazingly we're great now that we've moved away from that environment

  • Very nice to see you back! That's great news about the new apartment. I'm surprised about them denying you a partnership:(

  • Hey Blink thanks, I'm surprised also. Oh well I'll try again maybe. lol Good to see you again

  • Glad you are back too - though sorry about the circumstances that took you away. I don't understand the rhyme or reason that YT uses to see will be partners. I thought you would be a perfect candidate - go figure.

  • Thanks my friend. I also thought that they would accept me. Well at least I still have people like you and that's more important to me

  • I can't believe they denied you. Did they give a reason?

Anyway, it is good to have you back. The mold story is scary. You never know what is lurking in the places you live and work that can harm you or even kill you. Stay well.

  • Thanks Phil, yep they said I didn't have enough views lol, I just find that funny.

But at least I have my good friends, like you right? Who knows what You Tube wants.

Bill and I are so much better now, but I have to tell ya packing up a whole house and move in 5 days can kill your back. I want your chair for therapy lol

  • Tom is right. You may not have the numbers of views as some people, but those who watch and comment include many prominent YouTubers. Your videos have more influence than the numbers show. But I guess quality doesn't count for much. Just quantity.

  • Can I have your chair now???? lol

Thanks Phil. Oh I have to tell you that I loved that vid you did when you tied a yellow ribbon on top of the Empire State Building, now that's class

  • You and Huey (oneiblind30) both want that chair! It's an ok chair. It must look better on camera than in real life.

  • Yea yea yea lol

  • Great to see you!!!

    Hugs + kisses

    Fran

  • Yo have been rejected? I can't believe it! I'm happy everything is ok with you and that you are back! Big hug for you and your hubby! Kiss!

  • Felix I just love you. Yep You Tube thought I wasn't good enough for them. They said I didn't have enoug views. I went back and counted and it made me laugh. But I still have my good friends like you and that's all that matters

  • Yeah, that's right! welcome back again! Kiss!

  • Hugs to you Felix

  • Welcome back!

  • Thank you, it's good to be back

  • Sorry. I forgot to post the video response on your video. lol

  • It's there Cal, and thank you so much for it

    Hugs

  • Its great to see you again Joy! I did not realize mold could be so dangerous. I was turned down for a partnership by YT too. They said it was due to copyright issues of the music on my videos. Apparently if you cannot write and create your own music you are screwed. I can play guitar but I am no songwriter. All the best to You and Your Husband!~TED

  • Yanno I could swear I answered this comment and now it's gone, You Tube ate it. Could you tell me if you ever got my anwser to you????

  • Yes! YouTube ate it Joy. Weird things are happening on YT since the new format. Google only feels the need to only make changes not improvements to YT. This is just my opinion, but I think they should upgrade to a better format for videos to be viewed versus the old version of flash they are using. Take Care!~Ted

  • Well at least you get this one. I think you're right about you tube ang google, at least 7 responses where eaten up on my for this vid. Man you could lode friends that way

  • UGG! Glad you guys found out, and are doing better!

  • Yanno I could have sworn I already answered this but my reply is gone. You Tube must have eaten it. Let me know if you got an answer from me. This is weird.

Anyway thanks Allen we're fine now and I'm ready to video again.

  • I have lived with black mold and had it where I worked, it really makes you ill! Glad you are better!

  • Wow I could have sworn I answerd you here but I don't see it. Please tell me if you recieved my comment before today.

    Thanks my friend

  • no I didnt get a comment before today, You Tube in its infinate wisdom must have eaten it :)

  • Well at least you got this one

  • It's great to see you again!! And I can't believe YT denied you partnership. Their choices seem so random and make no sense!

  • Man I could have sworn I answered this and now it's gone. You Tube ate it up lol. Thanks my friend and thank you for sending all your vids to me through e-mail

  • Glad to see you! Yes, mold can be dangerous. Hope you start to feel better. Who cares about the partner thing? People like you are the ones who count!

    (((Hugs)))

    ~Mimi

  • Yanno I know I answered you but now it's gone, You Tube ate it up lol The partnership was a whim. All I care about is my terrific friends like you. Thanks Mimi

  • JOOOY!!! Oh joy, you're back. Woot!

I'm sorry to hear about Bill's wazoo. I hope it gets better soon. Being highly alergic is nobody's fault, but it can't be ignored. Good for you on that new place. Sounds great.

So best wishes to you both. Nice to see you again, dear.

  • Yanno I could have sworn that I answered you and now it's gone. Great YT. What I said was Bills wazoo was doing much better. thanks my friend

  • OMG Joy! I have been thinking about you and was about to send out an APB. I had the same thing happen to me in a condo I was renting in So Cal -was deadly sick with lung problems for MONTHS - I complained and complained and then called the CDC for an inspector -I finally had to move and the VERY DAY I moved into my new place, the illness went away.

  • I got accepted into the UK partner program but am still dithering as to whether or not to do it. Not sure. Don't take it to heart - lots of people are being turned away at the moment. (I think UK is easier playing field btw)

    Great to see you!

  • Man I thought I answered you but I don't see my response here. In Florida mold is a bid deal. If I wanted to I could have closed the whole complex down. But we love it here. In Florida mold negates your lease. The complexes are terrified of having mold, the laws are all against them

  • Toxic Black Mold. Yikes.

  • Yep I know, I had never heard of it before

  • Glad you are in a better place. Sounds as if the owners of the moldy place are trying to avoid lawsuits. Did every tenant have to move out?

  • Wait I know I answered you but I don't see it here. Did you get a reply from me? You Tube seems to have eaten some of my responses.

As for that mold, ya dam right they're trying to avoid lawsuits. You should see what their offering us. We even get a free months rent in july.

  • First of all, good to have you back. Missed ya. Now, our landlord just recently decided we needed a new bathroom, so the workers came in and found mold, and they had to strip it DOWN to the studs and replaced EVERYTHING. Luckily, it wasn't so bad we had to move, except for two days, BUT the good side is that our rent will NOT go up, cause they're afraid of suits or something. (Don't tell them we probably wouldn't even know HOW to sue.) But again, good to have you back. Jeff

  • Aww thanks Jeff. I did find out that renting buildings are terrified of mold. It will negate your lease. The law here in florida is that if I wanted to you could close them down if I wanted to. That's how serious they take mold. I didn't want to do that, I like it here so they moved us with no cost to us plus free rent for two months.

You must have gone through hell

  • mould is very dangerous it killed my father, love and respect scotty and libby:0)

  • Oh geeze I'm so sorry. I had no idea that mold could be so dangerous. Thank you scotty and libby for commenting. It means alot to me. Please take care of yourself

    Joy

  • yes my dad was hit by a lorry delivering some stilton cheese, love and respect scotty and libby:0)ps only kidding my dad is alive and well

  • hahahaha I happen to love stilton cheese. We used to won a cheese store so I was able to taste all the goodies from around the world

  • From what I have been told the YouTube partnership program isnt all that lucrative, even to the top earners. Sure any money for just making vids would be better than nothing, but I dont know if they would ever allow any "free thinkers" like us to be partners or if so,we would have to tone down our rhetoric and be censored..I am not doing that..EVER!

  • I agree, I would never change for alittle extra change. I applied because everyone was applying. I don't really care though. That's really not that important to me. You're right, I won't be muzzled and I know you won't be either

  • Mold is very, very bad..and dangerous. Actually, the CDC has said that many deaths that are caused by mold are actually misidentified. It is believed to be a much higher rate that what is actually attributed to mold. So,be careful and if you have carpet that gets soaked by a water heater leak or a busted pipe..make sure you get it up quickly and completely(underneth the carpet and padding)or you could have major problems down the line. Good vid, good to see ya back. I was starting to worry.

  • Thanks Hugh. I was starting to worry also when Bill got so sick for a year and then it went into his lungs. We're so much better now. You're the best

  • That is really damned, scary, Fringe!!! One of my worst fears as a homeowner. I always try to keep our bathrooms well vented and keep up with the caulking around the plumbing.... I'm glad to see you back!!!!

  • Thanks, If you live in a warm climate like I do you have to be very diligent.

I'm happy to be back and I'm glad your still with me

  • Glad you're back!!!!! Get well!

  • We're much better now, thanks you for commenting. Now I have to catch up with you

  • Black Mold can kill you! Its good that they are taking care of all the bills... Why did YT give you the big NO???

  • YT said I didn't have enough views, I think that's funny. I really don't care, sorta, I have you guys. Just give me a ride on your dirt bike.

  • Bill might kick my ass if I gave you a ride! But I am game if you are :)

  • Bill? Na he'll take the pictures.

  • Is a YouTube partnership worth pursuing? I don't know much about it, I guess I could read the terms of use and see what perks there might be, but generally I'm a financial dead beat because I don't want to pay taxes for the complicit war on Iraq. My website has Google Ad Sense, but I've made less than $30 in 18 months or so, and I have over 1,000 google ads on my site. Hahahaha, so much for partnerships.

  • hahahah Not really, it was offered so I thought what the hell I'll try. I really don't care, I have my good friends here like you so it doesn't really matter

  • That's kind of the way I feel. Sometimes the commercial interest eats up your valuable friendship time. I know, having run a f'in' newspaper for nearly eight years and never finding a moment, even sometimes for my own step-kids and wife. I won't do that again. Except wife says YouTube absorbs me. I say the same about her video games. So we get along okay on that line. Heh, heh.

  • hahahaa You Tube absorbed me too and now that my energy is back I can actually go to the site. Thanks for all those e-mails you sent me. My energy level was so low I only could watch people who sent me vids.

  • welcome back! black mold is real bad, glad you came through it all! peace

  • Thanks Steve, now I have to catch up with your vids. Yep we were told how dangerous it was. The complex paid for everything including a free months rent. Plus Bill and I have our energy back.

  • Mold is nasty shit.

glad you got it solved. :)

  • Dam so am I. Thanks my friend

  • Hidden mold in a home can be very dangerous, glad you guys figured that out.

  • The Dr. put it all together. When we had the board of health come and test our place the inside the walls were covered with them. It's good to see you again

  • Thanks, you as well :)

  • The irony of this is that doctors use pinicillian to treat most of those health issues you were talking about. How do they make pinicillian? Mold. Welcome back Joy and look forward to some video here soon.

  • hahahaha yep you're right about that, mold and penicillian. I can now do videos to answer yours. Thanks Cliff

  • look forward to it.

  • I have some of yours saved so that I can answer. Wait for it

  • Great to have you back. I have a video reply getting ready to come your way. I hope you and your hubby are ok now.

    Huggsss,

    Cal

  • Awesome, I'm so glad you stuck with me. We are so much better I can't tell you. The change was almost immediate

  • i'm glad yall are ok now Joy

so good to have you back gurl

  • Ma-am, you kept me busy while we were so sick with you e-mails. I thank you for that. Now I'm back so watch out lol

    Thanks for repying my friend

  • thank you for bein a friend !

    ((hugs))

  • Great to see you back Joy! I was denied partnership too, they said I didn't meet viewership, I wasn't interested in becoming a partner, but was curious to see if I could get it.

Sounds like renting has some benefits.

  • I'm going to try again just for the hell of it.

Yanno we owned a house for years. We sold it five years ago. For us renting is ideal. No mortgage to worry about, no water bills, no upkeep, no taxes just call the buldings and it gets fixed free. Especially in this market we're in the best place. I love the finacial freedom of it. Thanks for comming back to me and commenting

  • Wow...that's nasty. But, your building sounds great. No hassle? Can't be New York!

On another front, I can't believe all these Partner rejections. What the frak are they thinking? Good people, who make interesting videos, getting turned down? Makes no sense to me, Joy.

Anyway, welcome back...look forward to more vids soon.

  • You used the word frak, you must watch Battle Star Gallactica lol. You're right about New York of course. This place moved us with no money out of pocket. They even gave us a months free rent.

Just for the frak of it I'm going to apply again. lol

  • Oh, yeah, me and Karen are big BSG fans. Last week was very cool...Starbuck is a great character, but then, just about all of them are. Give it another shot...interested in hearing how it goes...frakkin' YT!

  • hahahaha I love that show and that word is great. You Tube is fraken nuts, they said I didn't have enough views. I counted and their wrong. I'll probably try again but at least I have good friends like you and that's better then any partnership.

  • Have you seen a "views hurdle" published anywhere? I've heard that that criterion exits but don't know what the cutoff might be. And, what if the most influential people in all of YT were amongst your viewers? Would that matter? Guess not...it's all a numbers game.

  • I've never heard of that but I'm sure it exists. You're right it's all about mony. I'll just try again soon

  • Fringe111. missed ya big time, yes,we noticed you were being quiet, hea, hope all is ok with the other half and you.

Mold, mold, mold, my sis had that too...she got sick .

Partners denied, huh, we are all partners, whithout us, youtube would not exist.

the other day i saw a channel[ 1 vid. 34 subbrs.

    and it was a Partnershmmmm

Glad all is ok now, an looking forward to more vids from you.

    sincver

    many many many stars

    loved this , very informative.

    mike [ i c o E

  • Hey my good friend, I was able to watch the mail you sent me but that's about all I had the energy to do.

Yep Partners denied me. Boohoo. It doesn't matter, I got you guys

    More vids on the way

    Hugs

  • Going into pedant mode: "Damn, I've missed you!" - mold is no fun, Gus...

    Hi, Joy! :)

  • We never realised that it was mold. Bill would come home frome work and just collapse, then sometimes he's be sleeping at 8.30pm, that's not my Bill. I also was sick then fatigued all the time.

I've missed you too. Most of the time I idn't have the energy to go to YT, just read my mail. It's so good to be back with you

  • Its about damn time you make a video!!! lol

  • hahahaha nut job. I love you

  • Your great. Now that that's done with I can continue my life. Thanks for commenting. I've missed you too

  • nice to see you again :)

  • Thanks my friend, it's good to be back

  • They probably paid for everything because they know they could be sued. I'm glad that you and Bill are doing better. Joy, I don't understand the partner program. You should have become a partner. It gets me upset because there are partners that have less subscribers and less views. I don't think it is fair and they don't usually give a reason either.

  • Thanks Cindy, they told me I didn't have enough views lol. I know someone who just became a partner and he has half of what I have. But really I don't care, it's just good to be healthy again

  • Yes, I was turned down too when I had 377 subscribers. I reapplied, however, since it is taking them so long to get back I will be denied again.

  • Glad you got out of there.

  • No kidding, we really thought that we were really sick, and we were. But I never thought about mold

  • Well, you just proved that there are advantages to renting over owning. I own my home and I think I have a mold problem, but the expense would largely be mine, if not entirely. Fortunately, I am not allergic to anything!

  • Oh please find out what kind of mold you have. I was told it could make you very sick.

Also call your health department, some states help with the financial side.

  • wow - luck you found out!

  • I would never have thought of mold until my doctor mentioned it to me.

  • No kidding, thanks for commenting

  • yay joy is back!

am glad they are taking care of you...is your husband feeling better yet?
