Noctis is sooo handsome, and Stella is soo pretty~ The story looks like it could be really interesting, too. The characters have always been really endearing for me, and everything is just beautifully fleshed out. I love this series!

I personally think its a budget related issue. There are plenty of enjoyable stories coming from jrpgs, but few have the kind of resources to produce games that have beautiful cut scenes and ingame graphics like Square.

Zylone ENIX was also a great company that made VALKIRIE PROFILE and STAR OCEAN series (SO 3 is my fave RPG ever,and i played all FF's!)and now Square soft has joined with them,and this is why its called SQUARE ENIX.However i agree that there are not many other companies who make great japanese RPG's.

Come to think of it,all great jRPG's were made by SQUARE and ENIX:Chrono Cross/trigger,FF's,SO,Valkirie­,Xenogrears,Front Mission,Bahamut Lagoon and others.....

I liked FF XIII,but it had many bad things in it(no minigames,too many fights,bad exploration)but it had still good char.devolpement system/upgrade system,BEST fighting system in FF history,and great story.Well,they didnt use its full potential but it was still a very entertaining Science fiction/fantasy storyline.

I played all FF's and my fave ones are still VII-IX,and another rpg Star ocean 3 till the end of time,and i hope that XIII versus will be the best FF ever.

@chariethe so true. squaresoft owns when it comes to rpg's. xenogears and a few other rpg's were epic as well but squaresoft developed them as well. i can't really think of another company that makes great rpg's that stay in my mind and force me to think teaching me about life and how to be as a human being. the music is epic, gameplay is addictive, and the storyline is pure genius.

@soulwolf2010 They have said that it may be ported to the Xbox later but as of now, they are making it specifically for the PS3. If they do port it, the Xbox version will not be as good graphically or play as well as the one on the PS3. Also, it will probably take up 4 or more DVDs to have this game with all the CGI in it.

I got used to the combat, still bores me though. I still enjoy the long emotional cutscenes and there's still alot of gameplay. I'm stuck at Barthandelus though. I kinda agree with the non-linear thing. I like being able to do something different now and again, but to tell a story like this its sometimes best to be linear. Can't wait for XIII-2.

@RogueNinja85 You guys are already getting a Sequel to FFXIII-2 which is confirmed Multiplatform, Versus XIII is being lead by Tetsuya Nomura, aka the director of Kingdom Hearts. He is a Sony fanboy and he strictly works on one console for each game he makes. There is not much a chance there will be a 360 version. Either buy a PS3 or watch a Playthrough online for FREE.

@Nouhous I guess I shouldn't name specific consoles, I play Xbox mainly so I forgot it was on PC to. Its still Microsoft however. So Mass Effect was "Microsoft exclusive" until now. One of the best games on 360 besides Gears of War and Halo. It competed with all the PS3 exclsuives until now. Sometimes I really hate EA. If there is one thing I wish for, its this "All Console" that one day may exist. No more Nintendo, no more Sony, no more Microsoft. They'd just be publishers for this one system.

@keithtuber You're talking about Versus, right? It's not set on Pulse nor Cocoon, it's a completely different world. All it shares is the themes and mythologies! For instance (SPOILER), from what I've read, the goddess Etro might play an ever bigger role in Versus than she did in FFXIII. So, yeah, Etro is there. There might likely be fal'Cie and/or l'Cie, too, stuff like that. But it is NOT set on Pulse nor Cocoon, and no characters from FFXIII will appear in Versus.
