2. Worse than the action of actually boiling down a vinyl record, is the result you're getting from it. Just cause you 'can' do something, doesn't always mean you should.. God that's ugly.. just buy a bowl that isn't hideous and throw the record out or give it to someone.

Let's say an independent record store owner has, due to either damage or lack of demand, bins of records collecting dust, one could hope to sell for perhaps a dollar. With a little effort, he or she could make some up-cycled retail side items, with a unique appeal to the vinyl collector, music lover, or perhaps just those with quirky tastes. These could be sold for as little as 3 to 5 bucks, although I've seen them go for as much as 10.

Some of those comps can be valuable simply for their rarity-if in good condition-and for potentially hard-to-find tracks by now-obscure bands. Can't tell without knowing the tracklisting. The real crime here is the destruction of the 2nd album, Tanz Der Lemminge, one of the early albums put out by Krautrock legends Amon Düül II. Prob original press, which I'd kill to own.

If these records are unplayable, truly scratched that can destroy the stylus, this can be a certain type of recycling by art. But, if a record is new or in good condition, the better option is to give it to another vinyl enthousiast or selling it to a used record store! Honestly, I hate this type of DIY bowls with records... it's truly ugly! I far away prefer listen to them, discover any music or pass them to others instead destroy them!

To all the douches that lament the loss of a few vinyl LPs. Get over it. There are literally millions of these things laying around scratches, warped, and otherwise un-playable. They are NOT rare or on the endangered list. If people are digging these up in 100 years and trying to play them, they are truly pathetic...

Get yourself an old bucket and a dictionary and learn how to spell kettle. Its physically painful to witness the wanton destruction of historical items like this. In 100 years from now people will be digging up these crap bowls and trying to flatten tyhem out to play them again. This is like burning Shakespeare's first folio to keep warm.

If these records are unplayable, truly scratched that can destroy the stylus, this can be a certain type of recycling by art. But, if a record is new or in good condition, the better option is to give it to another vinyl enthousiast or selling it to a used record store! Honestly, I hate this type of DIY bowls with records... it's truly ugly! I far away prefer listen to them, discover any music or pass them to others instead destroy them!

La verdad, esque existe una forma mas facil y precisa de hacer estos bowls. Esta es metiendo el Lp encima de un recipiente circular dedo vuelta en un horno convencional. Luego esperar solo algunos segundosy, sacarlo y luego moldearlo un poco mas con el calor que quedo desde el horno. Saludos
