I noticed that Red Orchetra 1 came with my copy of Red Orchestra 2 :D So I'll have to load it up on Steam and give it a try. It looks like a lot of fun, just can't go wrong with the Bolt Action Battle Rifles.

My CPU, motherboard, & ram is a bit old. I need to upgrade them for RO2, but RO1 should be fine.

It really captures the brutality of war, for example I threw a grenade and a german soldier unknowing ran into it, his legs were blown off and he screamed before dieing.

@1N73RC3P7OR Uh, but in RO that's exactly what happens. You press a button and teleport inside. You do have to be RIGHT next to the vehicle, but there's no animation for climbing inside of it.

lol, red orchestrah does have very good graphics, if you look at the soldiers uniforms theres loads of little details and stuff, plus the blood looks really cool and the gibs are pulles off well imo, also the maps look really nice, and the weapons are some of the best looking in any ww2 game.

Despite the somewhat papery look of the UT2k4 engine, RO2 has made use of incredible assets. The engine is archaic, but RO is still a pretty good looking game by today's standards. great models, animations, and textures; and well defined lighting.

The engine of this game should be used to make a game about the soviet-finnish wars in 1939-1944, not only because it would be relatively simple to make as there already is a game which to base it on, but because an FPS of that WWII theathre haven't been done before, ever, which would be rare for a WWII game.

I recommend you get it, because despite what people say, it's the best ww2 first person shooter on the market, by far.

Tanks have driver, MGer, and Gunner (commander). Infantry have their primary weapon and 2 nades. Sappers have PTRD, Satchels, or Panzerfausts. Snipers have scoped rifles. 25 Russians vs 25 Germans. Maps play 15 - 60 minutes. There are about 30 stock maps and a lot of custom maps.  It's really an awesome online game with good game play and good realism. 3LW
