Did you find it hard not to eat the things you love.. Pizza? KFC? I LOVE PEPSI but I have read that pop is a no no? Im 295 and getting my bypass in Jan 2011.. Im nervouse but excited..

Pop is a big no no. Everyone I have met that had the surgery and drinks pop either didn't lose all the weight they wanted or they gained it back. I started drinking pop for awhile but it made my tummy hurt to much so I stopped. As far as the foods I loved to eat like Pizza (still my favorite), KFC, Chocolate, etc. I had the same belief as you, that I could never have them again. That is so not true! I can eat what I want I just know my limits now. It was worth it, believe me! =)

My insurance didn't cover it. I had to pay cash. With the hospital, anesthesia, and procedure it was about 20k.

I heard some women lose their hair for a few months. Did that happen to you?

You do lose some hair. I didn't have bald spots or anything like that. It just thinned out for awhile. If you take your vitamins like you are supposed to daily it doesn't fall out as bad. When mine came back in it was thicker then it was before.

No complications except I find that any kind of meds wear off much faster. But when weighing that against how bad off I was before with medical issues and now I really don't have any, I think it was well worth it and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Doesn't it feel great to wear clothes that are sexy? I am 4 months post-op and almost lost all my weight. I love wearing cute clothes instead of frumpy big clothes. I totally agree with you and the people talking about our weight. My family (Husband side) was like that and it hurt the most. GREAT JOB! I am so happy for you!!!

One of my big goals was to be able to shop in the small section. Another was to see my colar bones again. I was so excited when I hit both goals. It feels great to go into any store and find things in my size and to find cloths that don't look like ugly curtain prints. I don't know why designers think that big means you have no taste. They have an amazing store now at the Dayton Mall for plus size girls with awesome cloths. I was so proud to see that. What a great step. Big is still beautiful!

Hello, I wanted to know if you had any access skin and if so what did you do about it? and did you have to have anything done to your breast? I'm getting ready to have surgery and I just want to know your story.

I haven't had anything done at all. Not that I wouldn't mind a tummy tuck. But everything you see is all me. I worked out 3 days a week at the gym for about a year after my surgery and it helped with the toning and excess skin a ton. The rest isn't to bad but what girl doesn't want a nice flat smooth sexy tummy? If only insurance covered it!
