@mictech1000 Judging from the Shadow and Classic prices, I'd say around $225. Maybe up to $10 or $15 more, depending on which Predator and how many accessories it comes with (and whether it has a fancy base, etc.).

I'm new to predator stuff but what is 1/4 and 1/6 scale mean?

@sndpapr1 1/6th means that the figure is 1/6th the size of an "actual" predator which means 6 of them stacked up will be the same height as an "actual" one. 1/4th scale is just bigger. i recommend 1/6th because there are more to go with them and they don't take up as much space. hope that helped.

For me it's the AVP in 1/6 scale figures, since i don't have any, and Predator 2 1/6 figures as well. I don't know about them 1/4 scale figures, probally a little too big for my space. You're right about the remake AVP figures being in the running for figures of the year, i think they're gonna have competion though from Iron Monger & '89 Batman in particular. Now if the '89 Batmobile comes out this year, that will blow everything away in my opnion.

Blade3327 we do win indeed but our bank balance will hate us....the thought of hot toys redoing all the predators from movies in 14/19 inch is amazing news but how much will they cost...thats my fear...neca have the right idea in cost...I will only pay alot if hot toys can truly deliver 'the best' 19 inch figure around otherwise I will carry on buying neca's, surely neca will bring out pred 2 city hunter and elder at some point

I don't know how true this is yet, but i heard Hot Toys was redoing Scar, Ancient & Chopper in 1/6 scale with new bodies, i guess we'll find out soon. That 1/6 Predator 2 sounds good as well. Like you i'm waiting for my Classic Pred to come in next week, i should have Shadow this week. I'm not sure about figure of the year friend, because Iron Monger looks to be a beast, and i think the most ambitious and impressive 1/6 scale figure ever attempted by Hot Toys by far. But bring on more Preds.

They said they're bringing 1/6th & 1/4th collectible figures of the predator movie series, but they didn't say they're bringing ALL figures in the series.

So, I'd assume only selective figures would be produced in 1/4th and reproduced in 1/6th, right?

@IpMan19 We're guaranteed to get the main ones in 1/4 scale, but we don't know if they'll do secondary Predator characters as well.

As far as 1/6 goes, all we know is they're making Predator 2. Besides him, it's a mystery. We'll have to see what happens.

Because I actually prefer Celtic more than the primary Scar.

Man i am excited to see how the 1/4 scale figs turn out. In the end for me its gonna be price to quality if i pick them up. But them saying things like diecast armor just gets me really excited. Its a good time to be a predator fan thats for sure. That P2 also looks awesome. I too may have to sell some stuff shortly!

The new 1/6th P2 certainly has much finer sculpture than the previous one. Just look at its muscles. All the new predator figures are sculpted by a Hong Kong artist this time.

Great vid Blade, I for one will be buying the revamped 1/6th for sure, not into collecting 1/4 scale. I think the people who dont like the idea of remakes, are just concerned that their precious Celtics and Scars will go down in value, I mean look what happenned with the P1, a lot of people are selling theirs to make way for the new Classic, and there has already been a major price drop for the Original P1's on Ebay

Everyone is up in arms! I really liked the look of that city hunter prototype I saw today...but like A LOT of people, I am conflcted. Should I keep going with 1/6, transition to 1/4, or collect both? My wallet says stick to 1/6th.

It's especially hard because I collect comic book 1/6th figures too and if they weren't going to make any 1/4th comic characters I wouldn't even think about 1/4 scale...but they're making 1/4th Avengers figures too. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh

I don't think HT is going to produce all figures in 1/4th scale. Only selectively. So, if I were you I'd just buy my most favourite one in 1/4th. In my case, it'd be the celtic from AVP.

Enterbay nailed Arnolds likeness with the 1/4 T2 perfectly, but they are new.

You cant change a bad sculpt, but you can change a bad paint.

The sculpts are maximally mediocre, why collect something like this ?

Figures/statues should represent the Movies as much as possible, especially for a such high price.

Whew! I made it a point not to purchase any predator that's above USD$500. I'm in the same boat too, no idea how I'll be displaying them, running out of space as it is and with another 1/4 scale line? God damnnnn...I'm completely torn at the moment, should I just get the re-releases that are missing from my collection, of which I'm only missing 5 preds, or display and get both sets, the older release and the new release. What will ya be doing blade?

@MrFreakZombie I have no idea. Maybe just get the main Predator from each film in 1/4, and keep the secondary Predators in 1/6. But I don't even know if they'll make P2 in 1/4, since all we've heard so far is the 1/6 announcement.

Come to think of it, we don't know specifics for any scale.

I wouldn't be so sure about Tsang ruining the P2 sculpt. The P2 is probably the least normal-looking Predator out there (besides Wolf), so Tsang's tendencies to do weird stuff might end up working out. He's using solid references, at least. Plus the helmet looks fantastic.

Well he used such references while sculpting ClASSic (there was one pic of this processsss) and what we have in the end? No P1 likeness, not even likeness of Classic from "Predators" movie :D

Just can't believe in Tsandg after 99% of fails in the head sculpting (so far).

He was also using the CM as reference for Classic, whereas things seem different here.

Like I said, he *is* getting better. Progress isn't necessarily fast, but it's happening. Maybe the third time's the charm for HT and their P1-ish Predators.

you know i am both happy and upset at the news. firstly i am happy because i missed out on the figures from Predator (1987) and Predator 2 (1990) so this is my chance to get them in 1/4th scale. My main wants are Dutch, Classic predator, Elder predator and Predator 2 predator. This sad part is that they are going to cost a lot. I just hope they dont release them all at once.

@youliveyoudie They won't. Tsang seems devoted to putting out more Predators, but it takes time -- especially in 1/4. There'll be less re-use when getting into a new scale, so I wouldn't expect more than two or three 1/4 Predators per year. Probably two at the most next year, since we're also getting the 1/6 P2 remake.
