  • I love both anniversary shows, but my favorite moment in the 25th was when the original cast sang "One Day More." It was pure magic!

  • Lea Salonga... Best. Eponine. EVER!! :DD

  • I like this cast but Samantha Barks is a better Eponine for me.

  • Lol I love how in the 25th anniversary Ramin completely overpowers Nick Jonas and its the other way around in the tenth anniversary with Michael and this other guy.

  • Question... isn't Javert dead by now? I thought he committed suicide at the end of "Stars"...

  • @101WormBook He sings Stars twice - and commits suicide the second time. So, no, he's not dead yet. He doesn't die until the very end. :)

  • Dream cast indeed...

  • Thank you for posting all of the segments of the 10th anniversary. I truly love this concert. I have it on VHS but now I have this digital copy. Awesome. Thank you time and time again.

  • in the novel eponine is a rather worn-down, haggered and unattractive character, but i think most productions tend to portray eponine as a more sympathetic/tragic character - i certainly feel for her - she is one of my favourite characters!

  • Somehow, this version makes me hate Cosette for taking Marius away from Eponine... maybe it is that she lacks the innocence of the character, I don't know.

  • @polloyita11 This version also makes it seem like Marius and Éponine had been friends for long, and Cosette somehow hopped in to steal Marius. In the novel, this is of course not the case. Cosette literally saw him first. And this version also forgets how Éponine was spoiled when she was a child, while Cosette was made to suffer - Éponine was cruel to her too. Now when they're adults the set up has changed - now Cosette is the loved cutie, and Éponine is the one in rags.

  • wew this musical gives me the chills :))

  • 25th anniversary was better than this in my opinion

  • @RaminKFan1. If only we could switch Nick Jonas out for Michael Ball..

  • that's a million dollar scream from Eponine.

  • the strong aggressive sound in lea's voice in "The Attack" is so impressive. forever my favorite cast.

  • @ironbutterflyx3 Mine too. I <3 Lea Salonga!

  • now i understand why lea salonga should perform eponine rather than cossete.

  • Also, I DEFINITELY prefer Lea Salonga as Eponine rather than Fantine - her attitude and voice are just so much more suited to Eponine

  • I get chills when they all sing together at 7:05. So powerful! O.O

I've watched both 10th and 25th anniversary and even though they're both good. I have to say I prefer 10th anniversary for sure! There seems to be something extra in there, more life, more soul, I don't know.... (might just be me being strange...)

  • This kind of performance gives me chills - so gooood<3 And with that massive chorus?! Omg, love this concert - always have, always will. Forget that 25th anniversary concert haha

  • As much as I love this cast, I think there are some AMAZING people in the 25th anniversary. Samantha Barks (Eponine) is really good and Ramin Karimloo (Enjolras) is phenomenal! So is Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean. But Michael Ball is Marius, no question about it.

  • @Shaynas322

I believe that Ramin should play Enjorlas in the movie version.

  • Best cast I've ever heard

  • my bff and I watched the 10th and 25th on YouTube. we plan to watch the 50th concert live. hoping against hope that it'll come true. :)

  • @mudbloodsanddemigods thats my dream too. i don't care what the cost is, i will find a way

  • a standing ovation how cool

  • great half

  • Lea Salonga is exceptional

  • I am passionate about Les Mis and loved this at the time it came out. They are all amazing but I saw Alfie Boe last week and Matt Lucas - I am blown away by the whole damn lot of them!! They are all so talented. Lea Salonga was the best Eponine - but didn't like her as Fantine! God there were some talented performers last week - and were equally good perfomers in this. Colm I bow to you!! :))

  • this group was phenomenal. but in the 25th anniversary concert, i liked norm lewis better as javert, and ramin karimloo better as enjolras.

  • I would have to agree with everyone - this group was much better than the 25th Anniversary group. with VERY few exceptions.

  • i <3 the "i know this house i tell you theres nothing here for you..."

  • This Cast Buries the 25th Anniversary Cast.

  • Lea Salonga makes me love this musical ..

  • @EponineKim1 You are so right. She has the sweetest voice I've ever heard 4:55

  • I think Michael Ball is the quintessential Marius, as is Colm Wilkinson for Valjean - although the 25th Anniv. Valjean definitely grew on me as he went on. I also thought that Matt Lucas was surprisingly terrific. And I know I'm in the minority with this one, but I think Lea was weaker than the other Eponine (and Ruthie as Fantine is just superb. Sorry, Lea!)

  • @LostHouse I agree with everything you said except for Eponine. The only reason that I like Lea better than Samantha is because of the emotion in the face and voice. Don't get me wrong, Samantha did a superb job, but Lea did much better in the expressiveness which makes her my favorite Eponine.

  • such a better group than the 25th at O2. a few exceptions at O2 - but no question overall this group is can't miss.

  • @episodenone I agree. For me the only standout from the 25th cast was Enjolras.

  • @deppaholic You are so right! :)

  • @episodenone Such a better group? I can understand liking one more than the other, but "Such a better ..." game over, no contest, the 25th sucks? Are you mad?

  • Thanks for this.

    Perfect sound.

Im there if it comes back to Boston.
