  • I'm one of many who have been to the Grand Canyon but I came from Las Vegas by air. Imagine my surprise when I found railroad tracks at that depot building. And then, at about dusk, the American version of the Orient Express pulled in! I don't think that runs any more - guess I must be getting old! They served some very good restorative liquids in that depot!

  • @Bobcatonline It is a really neat train! Sadly, the AOE(Grande Luxe) stopped running in 2008

  • Awesome video!

  • @Aero203 Thanks!

  • WOW DUDE! I love the video I've been to the Grand Canyon and Williams I rode the Grand Canyon Railway up to the Grand Canyon and back and the view was very pretty! The engines were 237 & 239 and 237 was leading with a humungous blast of K5LA! GO 237! If you want to see aanother video of engine 237 then watch my video called "Grand Canyon Railway departs Williams,AR" Check it out ok see ya and stay tuned for more vids of mine!

  • @trainwatcher17 Thanks man! I'll have to check it out! Don't let me forget!

  • nice catch on the warbonnet mike

  • What a beautiful area

  • Very nice!I love the countryside!5*

  • I love your video this the reason that i wanna be freinds with you.

  • @GrandCanyonRailfan It says we are. Does it not say that for you?

  • Great job Mike!

  • @EWM27 Thank you! When will your next upload be?

  • @CoasterFan2105 Oh man, that's a good question :D

  • Very professional, love it!

  • @BergerKing5 Well thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Awesome video, as usual!

  • @Locomotive450 Thanks!!

  • Nice video. They are even making the F40's fuel efficient! Which is kind of saying regular steam won't be running anytime soon, which is a shame..

  • @EMDX90 It is...but at least they still run steam from time to time

  • Nice video. They are even making the F40's fuel efficient!

  • A great video

  • @Railhead1956 Thank you!

  • Are those ex-amtrak F40s?

  • @fixierider97 Yes, they are! 2 of them were regulars on the San Diegan when I was a kid

  • I'm going there this summer!

  • @RCdash9 Awesome! Let me know how it goes!

  • Excellent video mike! I love it

  • @SDRailfan Thanks Chris!

  • Hey this is my favorite online railroading series! Excellent job, Mike!

  • @tsgmultimedia Haha, thanks! With many more to come hopefully

  • What will happen to 4960 after boiler certificate expiration? Is 29 operational or a display?

  • @thomasrosiefan1 They will rebuild it. It is going to run in 2012 for Arizona's centennial

  • @CoasterFan2105 29 or 4960? Either way, it's good the Grand Canyon will keep their steam alive. Any updates on the Spokane Portland & Seattle mikado?

  • @thomasrosiefan1 4960. I haven't heard that 29 is running currently. The other mike is still hanging around the shops...hear they want to sell it though

  • Love the new intro! Thanks for posting Mike!

  • @ConAmMD80fan Thanks! Glad you like it! New one will be up next week!

  • Fantastic video. Do they still run those Alco FPA-4's over there? I remember back in 2008 I was able to film one departing out of Williams in 2008.

  • @AODProds I believe they do from time to time but not that often. Now that 237 is done being rebuilt, the F40's are usually the power for the trains. Occasionally an FPB.

  • @AODProds Correction: Apparently they don't run them much if at all anymore :(

  • @SDNR3001 Well thank you! I will try to post more often

  • Great video Mike! Glad to see you posting these videos Again! Have you done Railfanning By Location in Canada? Maybe you can do a video from there? Just a thought. Again, great video!

  • @Michaellovestrains Thanks! I have not done one on Canada. It is always possible some time in the future.

  • Great video, but I still hate xentra parks and resorts for ending the steam program on the line. Sure 4 miles trips out and back, 5 times a year are ok, but give us what really want. PLEASE!!!!!!!!

  • @modeltrainman12345 I hear ya man!!! Just ain't the same without the steamers...

  • thought BNSF owns the tracks cause when i was there they were working on the tracks

  • @staintedcards Well, I don't know why they would be owned by BNSF... they don't run any freight anymore from what I know. The crossing boxes are all marked as "Grand Canyon Railway". It is possible they contract some of the maintenance out to BNSF...

  • @CoasterFan2105 maybe they just maintain the tracks i got ya thanks bro

  • Awesome catches!

  • @Engine201 Thanks!
