  • i read the lyrics so many times but this shit is wayyy over my head and everyone elses.

  • @ProfessorGumby1

this song is about gandalf the grey stopping the balrog demon from passing a bridge.

  • Man! I'd love some insight as well.

  • I would give my left nut to understand this song/video..

  • I'm sorry, but this reminds me of my dead boyfriend Gustavoe, I will always love you forever.

  • rolled the sickest 2 pape to this song and gona listen to it again while i mufaking blaze itttttttttt

  • FUCKING EH. I didn't know he had a fucking video to this song!! I had the cd for years and I recently lost it. Thus being on here.

  • help me help me helpmehelp mejelp muhalp muhamet

  • What is Time-O-Sphere?

  • nice track, im not really into that genre. normally i listen to metal and such stuff. but this really goes into mind. :]

  • genre vs genre = new music genre .. thas how shit works.

  • i'm not a guy that gets boners from other dudes, but this songs gives me the biggest boner ever. good god this beat is rad.

  • Well I don't like rap because it just doesn't audibly please me, however there is something different about this song. I am a fan of the electronic genres and the melody here has such an electronic vibe to it that I like it.

  • Sorry to be Awkward but i remember hearing the background music in a salad finger video xDDD

  • Strangest music video, song and the beat I ever heard. But I loved it!

  • It always winds me up when I see a "I don't like rap but..." top comment. Just means you haven't explored the hip-hop genre enough, so when you find a dope track, you think you've come across an exception.

There's so much more out there, broaden your horizons! Stop with the "I do like this genre, I don't like this genre" kind of labelling that puts music in boxes.

Hip-Hop is so much more than the cars 'n' hoes gangsta image it is now associated with!

  • @gdlavery I feel the same way bro.

  • @gdlavery I usually just troll here because 99% of Youtube comments are retarded, but what you said has earned you my respect. That was one of the most wonderful remarks I've ever read about a video. The essence of the not-sucking-any-faggy-subculter's-dick-that-hates-shit-just-to-hate-it ideal. I tip my hat to you, good sir. My only dream is to live long enough to see a day where society has advanced enough to believe as you and I do. I hope life is good to you, you half-full motherfucker.

  • @gdlavery well said !

  • A Skull deffinetly fell out of that chicks vagina at 3:06

  • Love

  • Nut Shot Blast

  • I don't even care for rap, but you just got a fan. Amazing stuff.

  • What is? I don't even...

  • I am the best wrapper

  • the video just blows my mind.

  • 2:31 Weathermen shirt!!!!!

  • man its songs like this that i love to listen to when im sketching or just doing graff in my own fucking world

  • 200 dislikes!

  • Don't compare him to Eminem. Eminem isn't even close to a good/intellectual rapper.

  • dont watch this when you're high. it will fuck up your mind.

  • @lauriertripp how about dont get high at all? lol

  • @SDBv2 what the fuck is wrong with you? you need to smoke a fuckin blunt n stopp tellin people not to get high......your a very negative influence telling people not to free there minds

  • @F1zhsTourturedSoul Taking drugs=freeing your mind. I see what you did there.

  • @F1zhsTourturedSoul I don't do drugs, at all, never have and never will. I still love this tune and my mind is free. How bout not involving drugs into the conversation, one way or the other?

  • @JudgeJudas well thats all good for you......but your the one negatively influencing others by telling them not to get high.....and u aint gotta do drugs to get high.....please dont comment on my grammer either

  • @F1zhsTourturedSoul I'm not telling people not to get high, nor am I commenting on your grammar. (Are you confusing me with someone else or putting words into my mouth?) What I am saying is that I don't see the point of bringing up drugs here either as a "mmmm I love getting high" or a "drugs suck"-way, period.

Drugs are a personal choice and shouldn't be the subject on every other video on YouTube.

  • @JudgeJudas nah i was just assuming you were gonna comment on my grammar cuz im all in a hurry n your taking the time to punctuate lol......n idk you just commented tellin lauriertripp how about dont get high at all....and it kinda annoyed me....but oh well i see your ointp

  • @F1zhsTourturedSoul I'm not telling anybody to not get high at all, I'm just telling everybody to not bring up that subject at all, because it's actually quite boring to read all those "free your minds, do drugs" and "drugs suck and everybody who does them suck aswell"-comments. I'm personally against drugs, but that is in no way relevant to me liking this song, so I don't see why it should matter either way.

  • @JudgeJudas lol r u sure your not on drugs?

  • @F1zhsTourturedSoul I Really Like Turtles Too. You dont see me complaining.

  • @theflamingskunk turtles?

  • People like rick ross ,lil wayne , dj cali and many more get on mmy fucking nerves with there lack of unique style . they all say the same shit. And there all egotistical asshats and stupid people love that shit. . dj cali cant even rap. Hot97 should be destroyed. What happened when music made sense?. It's underground now.

  • @StarfruitsurfridaHHH Ahhh you said the fucking truth. Hot97 is on puppet strings indeed! Please check my channel. I dig intellectual hiphop that makes you said got dam that line was so so ill. Rewind!!! I grew up in the golden era of hiphop. Saw cyphers with krs 1, common, nas etc This video is too dope! My album I am dropping will have all of these elements. It's a middle finger on a rotting cake of hiphop. Cool to celebrate but it's now dying except the underground. A line from my song haha

  • @ARakaLordBrilliant thanks bro ill keep an eye out

  • if google was a person I would kiss her for guiding me to this stuff

  • @thedizah yes. these are the rappers I wanna jerk off!

  • what a trippy ass beat!

  • for some reason this always reminds me of salad fingers

  • Song is awesome to get high to :)

  • 198 shall not pass

  • what the fuck is this song about?

  • pass that buttery gold.

  • lousy song

  • @xgalore77zerha268

It's ok if you don't dig it, but... "Lousy" really?

  • @OM3N1R yeah man i'd give it a 2 out of 10

  • @xgalore77zerha268 just because it's over your head doesn't make it "lousy".

  • @WutDfuzz pipe down fuzz nobody cares about you

  • @xgalore77zerha268 Right, like people care about your opinion.

  • @WutDfuzz go have a cry somewhere else fuzz

  • If you dont understand the concept, your part of the many blind. this guy is very smart , and speaks the movement <3

  • My boyfriend loved this song RIP Gus.(:

  • I'm not trying to trick you! I'm TRYING to HELP!

  • culdnt even imagine how this video wuld look tripin shrooms or acid...damn

  • I love how about 136 people liked my last comment that happened to be a top comment. I bet you all of them smoke weed including me! xDDD

  • Well this sure as hell kicks the shit out of anything lil wayne's ever done...

  • @DanteShithead Not too hard to do that though...

  • @DanteShithead Pretty sure me humming "Friday" kicks the shit out of anything lil wayne's ever done.

No joke, this is mindblowing though.

  • Jeremy fish must of had a field day with this one.

  • Comment removed

  • So..many..questions....

  • is the artist work from jeremy fish

  • and who says white people cant rap, this shit is dope!

  • what do aesop and feminem have in common other than skin tone? i swear to God, i go to these vids to AVOID mainstream rap but theres no escape

  • why is every fucking white rapper compared to eminem, jheeeez

  • @lukethecfclover Cause everyone thinks Eminem is the ne plus ultra of white rappers.

  • @lukethecfclover because people cant comprehend the concept of a good white rapper other than em.

  • @lukethecfclover Cause Eminem is one of the only few white rappers to have massive mainstream success, and the most commercially successful rapper ever. So when people see another white rapper, it's almost impossible for most people to not see that artist in Em's shadow.

  • @WutDfuzz Well, why isn't anybody compared to the Beastie Boys? They were the first crossover rap act, and brought rape to white people's attention before anybody else. 3rd Bass and House of Pain (Everlast) never would have been around if the BEasties weren't there first. Or is it because 99% of the Beasties' music is intentional comical? I'm not quite sure which.....

  • @hiphopbwwsoccer 1. Your right, the Beastie Boys were one of the first if not the first major crossover Hip-Hop act, Eminem's social impact, yet alone commercial success in the late 1990's-present is going to be what the majority of people think of when they think of a white rapper. It's just the way it is and the way that the majority of this generation's hip-hop listeners think.

  • @WutDfuzz But that's what's sad. Eminem can rap. He has a particular style, but I would rather be compared with somebody as far as skills go, not fame. I would much rather be compared to an Eyedea, or Slug, or Sage Francis, or Aespo Rock, or a young Vinnie Paz (Psycho-Social timeframe), personally. But I guess that's just the artist in me.

  • @hiphopbwwsoccer yeah man for sure, but try checking out EI-P the overly dramatic truth. you may have heard it but if not definitely listen to it!

  • @lukethecfclover lol Juheeeeezz (kip)

  • @lukethecfclover Maybe because he is one of the best white rapper. So it only makes sence to compare them to him.

  • @Mr42ohh Eminem sucks about as bad as your spelling and grammar.

  • @lukethecfclover isn't it obvious?

  • @lukethecfclover peoples pallets are bland.

  • @lukethecfclover I thought aesop rock is black. XD

  • @lukethecfclover Because Eminem is the levle ALL white rappers are messured against.

  • Aesop Rock None Shall Pass

    March 2nd

  • People like Aesop Rock show how some that listen to mainstream rap have no grasp of Imagination.

Most people that don't want to think of other possibility's are the ones that are holding all of us back.

  • like da flying worms :0

  • Fuck who's better, can't you just listen to both Em and Aesop?

  • Its Fucking Awesome

  • Do i have to be high to understand this song?

  • I love cartoons!!! this is great! exclamation point! yeah!!

  • apple>orange

    apple juice<orange juice

  • see aesop and eminem discussed in the same vid. disregard the whole of the comments section

  • i dont understand

  • [adult swim] No's Bekuse Is Right Now You Can Watch On [adult swim]

  • extremly abstract but gd

  • I have no idea what the video is about or the people with animal customs and the thing flying but the song is DOPE AS HELL.

  • I have no idea what the video is about or the people with animal customs and the thing flying but the song is DOPE AS HELL.

  • 198 people arent worth a homeowner's piss

  • awesome bass when u turn the shit upp all tha wayy

    AESOP ROCK FTW

  • 2:29 is the point where I think the song is over but Aesop just keeps fucking rapping and it keeps being fucking awesome.

  • This dude is awful. Like drinking sewer water awful.

  • @PunkingSnitches that's funny you say that. Look at whats on MTV and radio stations.

  • @PunkingSnitches I'm not trying to crucify you for your own opinion, but how could you dislike this? The music is so mellow, so chill, and the lyrics are all abstract and wicked! Fair enough if you'd rather be 'mainstream' and be up in the club with yo' money and yo' bitches, but my preference has been and will always be with Aesop Rock.

  • @PunkingSnitches ha good one now tell me why did you come to the video jsut to sya that leave us fans alone

  • Was this in Lord of the Rings? Oh wait...

  • ya'll should peep "atmos" from infinite hype. hella dope

  • ''smart when crazy kc''

look up that, i remixed some shit and i think youll like it if u check it out

  • i'd be lying if i claimed i could comprehend everything that aes says in his songs. but what sets him apart is the fact that despite not knowing what the hell he may be talking about, you can still somehow feel and relate to all the things he says.

  • THIS APPEALS TO NERDS ONLY. HE HAS NO SOUL OR STYLE.

  • @sh4p3shifter u mad bro?

  • @zeroa69 I lol'd at your playlist you are listening to.

  • @ferrettamer1 HELL YEEA!

  • @sh4p3shifter You must not know the meaning of soul or style.

  • Hey! I dont undertstand a single one of these metophores, but it dosent take a genius to see that aesop is fucking king

  • is one of these guys now called Tyler the Creator?

  • @ThePatcam It's one guy, and no. Tyler bit his flow

  • dude, if i was a high school teacher this would be my test song...

  • 195 people don't get Aesop's metaphors

  • My new response instead of no will be "none shall pass"

  • *Girl Scout walks up to my door*

Girls Scout: would you like some cookies sir

    Me: None Shall Pass!!!

    Girl Scout: o.O

  • wow..

  • And I will remember your name and face on the day you are judged by the fun house cast.

  • I remember when this video had about 200,000 views. I'm glad to see music as creative as this is getting the recognition it deserves.

  • Comment removed

  • so sick,

  • Eminem is a good Rapper, he has good rhymes with catchy tunes and good lyrics but Aesop Rock has the creativity em will never have. I mean hear the songs water, coffee, pigs, freeze and prob the best creative song hes ever made daylight and nightlight. Ive been listening to Aesop for years and that song does not get old ever. He has a creative flow and he speaks methaporically which I dont think any of these rappers know what that is ( faggy wayne, drake, rick ross, 50 cent etc.)

  • @UnDeaDSolDieR916 eminem is just a complete wast of talent. he's got the skills, but that's about where it ends.

  • THE BEST!

  • de wuevosssss

  • why the fuck are their comments about eminem on an aesop rock video..

  • i have been jamming this song 4 like 3 years never gets old

  • Snake woman who gives birth to skulls? most awesome thing ever?

  • Did anyone else notice the pic of Darwin in the background?

  • @multicolorednarwhal Totally. Made me like the video even more.

  • tight track

  • in all seriousness though, eminem can't really, at all actually be compared to this guy. Aesop rocks worst music is better than eminems best. though Aesop doesn't really have any bad music

  • @skate4austin no, they are different types of rappers, eminem is a very talented mc along with aesop. The one thing you're right on is that they can't be compared, however.

  • @TheAsianWorm M&Ms is awful .

  • @parade ... no, he isn't. Try writing better than him? If you have heard of rappers who are definitely on the same level as Aesop, such as Canibus, and you appreciate his music, you cannot turn around and say eminem's music is bad. He has complex rhyme schemes, was an intensely gritty rapper at the start of his career, and is lyrically, to say the least, is above most MC's. The only thing about him is how commercialised his recent tracks have got, it pains me to listen to them sometimes.

  • @TheAsianWorm It's art, so it's all my opinion of course, but Em is bad. Part of being an artist is selling yourself, and the way Em (or his producers) packages himself I find terrible, and therefor the contents don't even matter. He has his occasional song that I can appreciate, but then it's right beside all of the stuff he does which essentially angsty gansta shit that I couldn't begin pretend to enjoy. Lyricism is only part of it. A big one, which he manages to overshadow by being a shithead

  • @parade ok, fair enough, yes - its all based on opinion. But then again, its exceptionally hard for people with his upbringing, even if that is one of his 'attributes' that is oversold, to have a universally likeable persona, if you know what I mean. These type of characters are very strongly designed, and do not waver. But i agree with you on the producers point - its killed him. But, even with preference, I don't think its right to say he's a bad MC.

  • y when there is a white rapper slim shady has 2 b mentioned he is not the best white rapper he is jus mo famous and addressing B)dont no rap music i wood love 2 meet u in person and prove u so wrong its unimaginable

  • yeeeeeeeeeeah im awesome cuz i can talk shit on youtube yeaaaaaaaaaaah

  • This guy is like the Jorge Borges of hip hop. He draws in so many diverse influences it's hard to tell what's his work and what isn't... I guess it's like they say: Creativity is the art of concealing one's sources.

  • Team Fortress 2.

  • Okay, to those of you comparing Aesop to Eminem, both sides are off. Comparing these two are comparing apples and oranges. They each focus on different subject matters entirely: Aesop's rhymes are more abstract and complex, working from many different perspectives, evoking thought of it's overall meaning. Eminem on the other hand, draws from personal experiences, staying with a more straight-forward and more easily-grasped concept for the majority of his songs. It's all up to interpretation.

  • @Avertyoureyes91 eminem is just a dirty hillbilly

  • @Avertyoureyes91 I actually explained this exact same thing to someone on a different video today lol.

  • @Avertyoureyes91 any good white rapper is compared to emeniem
