I think I know what it is. This is a "true crime" drama show (like on TruTV), except it's going to be animal attacks. That's going to be a trick from the top of the food chain, because every animal attack we have that kind of detail on ends in a lethal injection, and the ones we don't usually just end in *blam*. What makes human crime drama a genre is the idea that the guy could have gotten away with it. The challenge was among equals (humans). Animals are "disadvantaged".
