@TonyMartinTate1 the dog is always like this. It is due to the condition that he has that causes difficulty with walking. There is no suffering or any other problems he has, other than just not being able to walk as easy as a "normal dog".
He even has some MJ's moonwalk in his step. He has a poor childhood with that disease but he also had Us,we all love him,so cute ,Just see him like a talent,full of energy dog. Lots of loves :-)

slo232000 is my son and I got this dog @ 5 weeks. He could not walk. 5 vets(one a chiropractor/accupuncturist) told me his condition was not life threatening and he was not in pain. I made a body sling and did physical therapy with him to teach him to walk. He lives a very good life...plays with his friend(Shih-tzu), goes for walks (rides in a stroller), is a very happy & loving dog. He loves to play ball. Most of all he loves to be held and pampered. What a blessing he has been to my life!!!!!!

He has been to many specialist, as he says. Hes had the dog longer than anyone and knows the dog personally. If there were serious complications or health concerns for this animal, he would have been put down. Since he was taken to many doctors as a puppy and with the feedback we received, putting him down would have been the dumbest thing that could have been done
@TheJuliastowe cerebellar hypoplasia is actually a congenital problem, meaning the animal was born with it. Animals do not know any other way to walk. Given that this dog can actually get to his destination, is wagging its tail and over all seems happy, there would be no reason to put this dog down. It would be impossible to "fix" the problem because part of the brain is underdeveloped and there is currently no way to grow brains.

My dog has CH, too. I laugh sometimes when he tries to get around. It doesn't mean you care any less for the animal. You have to be able to laugh at things like that. I have my own medical issues - and I laugh at myself with the things I do. Humor is an important part of life when you're sick. You can tell this dog is very happy and well taken care of.

Believe me, he is very engergetic and was actually worse when he was younger. Give it time, your dog might get used to it and be able to walk a little better over time. It isn't fair to the dog to put it down b/c of the condition so don't let that be an option!! You can get specialized wheels for dogs to walk!!!!

Cerebellar hypoplasia is the condition and although it looks bad this is all this animal has or will ever know. It seems perfectly happy, however I would highly recommend a bath and proper grooming for this happy looking but filthy pooch :o)

My dog has CH, too. I laugh sometimes when he tries to get around. It doesn't mean you care any less for the animal. You have to be able to laugh at things like that. I have my own medical issues - and I laugh at myself with the things I do. Humor is an important part of life when you're sick. You can tell this dog is very happy and well taken care of.

Believe me, he is very engergetic and was actually worse when he was younger. Give it time, your dog might get used to it and be able to walk a little better over time. It isn't fair to the dog to put it down b/c of the condition so don't let that be an option!! You can get specialized wheels for dogs to walk!!!!

Cerebellar hypoplasia is the condition and although it looks bad this is all this animal has or will ever know. It seems perfectly happy, however I would highly recommend a bath and proper grooming for this happy looking but filthy pooch :o)
