It can definitely be tricky when your collection expands faster than you can find suitable storage solutions. I have plenty of space, but not nearly enough shelving, and no time to build more.

I hope you get it all figured out Rob.

i had a simular problem recently,, as im moving a long way away., I needed to get rid of some of my heavy record collection, Its really hard going through the collection picking out what u dont need,, i would go through 100 records and end up with like 4 that i could part with, So then i would have to go through the same 100 again and find another few that i dont listen to that much. eventually i managed to part with 200 records, That ws like a quarter, I felt gutted after selling those.

ha ha ha my collection is so big i have to have most of it in a storage unit, and the funny thing is i want more. i never really thought about it until about 10 years ago that i was a Collector, because i just got games and never got fid of them. ive been gaming since the early days of atari home pong...lol. although after the big Crash in 83 i wasnt gaming again till 93. Sometimes you think when you look at all the games you have, and you say WOW I got so many games. lol I sometimes see that with all the games I have I play the ones I pay more attention to than others. I truly understand where you are coming from, to me their are so many games Ive never played and would love to play, but all in all the space and also not letting some games collect dust makes me think otherwise. Yes for everyone there will always be an issue with space (no matter the size of the collection), plus in the end you can get more enjoyment out of concentrating on the systems you like the best.

I am trying to work towards a couple of specific system collections, but they are not large ones, otherwise I am just looking at getting more games of the types that I like on a few more systems. I now pretty much have most of the systems I am after.

Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones! I can totally understand where you are coming from in regards to your collection and wanting to slim it down. I myself will try to confine my collection mostly to the gameroom. I feel very fortunate to be able to have a room completely to myself and have my games and systems in there.

The fact that there is a whole wall of boxes in the attic containing an equal amount of stuff is something I would like to streamline myself.
