Hey everyone. I got an HD PVR for Christmas and I'm so stoked, plan to have a commentary out today. Only problem is that I have few subscribers (you guys know how hard it is to get subs, so I wont go in depth about that). Good idea that medal of honor went modern in this game, but I think some people are completely ignorant of its glorious past, before call of duty crept into the spotlight.

Medal of Honour should go back to being singleplayer only like it used to be. This game showed it: fantastic (but short) campaign, and fairly horrific multiplayer. Gimme a long, good campaign like MoH: Frontline, and it'll be the best FPS in a long time.
BF3 was to boring. MW3 was the same crap, graphics weren't even that improved. MOH campaign is the best out there so far. The only thing MOH lacks is variety of guns for mulitplayer. The new MOH will be the best because it will combine BF3 and MW3, take the best of both...intill now, this MOH is above all.

@Txotxoloco94 Do you have punkbuster installed/up to date? I had the same issue with bf3 when i got the game, i was kicked automatically from servers that had punkbuster enabled. Repairing the game from origin fixed my problem
ah yes, i remember when i was a young gamer, playing the best war game of the time: Medal of Honor. My love of the game made me buy a new game. a game that took the spotlight from MoH. It was a game you and i come to love. the game was: call of duty. aw man, those were the best times of my life. Aw yeah.

@TheOblivionGate Every developer is jealous of COD success, after they left ww2 to become modern shooters. That's why the new Medal of Honor left ww2, because they wanted to copy COD. If the new Medal of Honor had the old-school run-and-gun style of Allied Assault, instead of this "follow-the-team" in a scripted and corridor world, it would be a real Medal of Honor game, and not another COD-clone.

I am sorry people, but if you think the Medal of Honor series is more realistic that the CoD , judging only by this game, you are wrong. Medal of Honor started as a WW2 version of Quake, where you are alone, fighting hundes of enemies. CoD introduced the realistic "approach" of WW2, and when MOH tried to immitate it, in Pacific Assault, failed miserably. Airborne with the Elite Storm Nazis wasn't realistic either. And just the fact that MOH 2010 is not based in WW3, doesn't mean it's realistic.
@alerommel1 If you want my opinion, Medal of Honor should always remain the ultimate Nazi-slaying game, where you blow everything and run-n-gun (together with Wolfenstein), while infiltrating enemy bases and showing them your false papers, and should never leave WW2. The new MoH is a the best example, of how FPS shooters, should avoid copying the Modern Warfare formula , and just stick to their roots. Innovating to their roots is the right thing, not copy-pasting CoD.
@alerommel1 This game was was dedicated to the Men and Women of the Military. A way to show the war to the people. If you played the game you would know that. It didn't copy CoD, they took their own path, MW2 featured, what? 2 missions in the Middle East and then BOOM WW3. No one every said MoH was more realistic then CoD, but in this case it is. They didn't have any story line to go off, so they started their own. You obviously have no idea what a good game is so hop off.
@Mrhockey1996 Well, MOHAA was dedicated to men and women too. During the credits the game said "this game is dedicated to all the men, women, and children who gave their lives for our freedom". But MOHAA wasn't realistic. Plus a lot of people say that MOH is more realistic than CoD. Again, MOH should never leave WW2. Just because COD made success abandoning WW2 and becoming modern, doesn't mean every game should di it. MOH betrayed it's roots, just like DNF did.
@Mrhockey1996 As for the good game, I have been playing the Medal of Honor series since 2002, before the first Call of Duty came out, and believe me, I think that Medal of Honor Allied Assault, with it's simplicity and extreme run-n-gun unrealistic James Bond-Rambo style firefight, is still the best WW2 shooter ever made. That's what I am expecting from Medal of Honor series.

It is full of scripted events (MOH series was always linear, but never as scripted as COD, it had a liitle more freedom), you basically have to follow your team like in COD (in previous MOH games, either there is no team at all, or when it is, you always are it's leader, like in Pacific Assault). The new MOH screams jealously about COD's success!
@alerommel1 frankly i do. what they did they did better then call of duty. they delivered a competent story backed by a real setting and based off of a real event. the call of duty games are completely different, they dont require you to use your team, you can always go rambo if you like, but in this game you cant, you rely on your team just as much as your team relies on you. and about scripted events, cod didnt invent them, they copied them from games like reident evil during the psone era.

The fact that Call of Duty is extremely linear can be seen in most of it's gameplay elements. You can't even open doors! You just have to go from a pre-set path. Medal of Honor always had more freedom (not a lot, but still more than COD). Many levels from allied assault were based in big towns (con.)

Always in MOHAA the TEAM follows YOU, it's not the kind of "on my count to 3, we synchronize our sniper shots", or stuff like you have to wait for the team to gather, so the leader can open the door! I don't understand why people praise this game for it's ''realism'' when it's barely noticable. This game, is, as a game, extremely unrealistic. Its authentic - yes, but it belongs to the crowd of run N gun shooters.
This game is not really that good... especially compared to COD MW2 and BFBC2 which were both awesome games... (what I didn't like the most was that the m14 EBR in this game has an automatic function when everybody knows that m14 is just a semi-automatic and manual firing mode)

@zakelias123 Not as bad, but it's not very good either. It has major balancing issues. Plus, it gets really repetetive, really fast. It's more competetive than it is fun. Why should I care about my kill/death ratio? Aren't video games supposed to be fun? You can think what you like because I, nor anyone else that wasted they're time on Call of Duty will care.
@NcfcHarry97 I played the alpha trial, gameplay was more like MoH than BC2, which in my opinion is a good thing since Bad Companies gameplay was a bit sluggish and I loved how MoH handled.
Personally I think MoH was a test for BF3.. Dice said in BF3 they want to give people the choice to go lone wolf and get really high KDR if they want but also being part of a team, MoH did that extremely well.
I just hope BF3 has the option for short 5 - 10 minute game modes

This game's Single Player was Epic... but i have to say the Multiplayer wasn't as good as it could've been. Too plain... But i love the Singleplayer, very immersive and entertaining.

@Mrhockey1996 Well, MOHAA was dedicated to men and women too. During the credits the game said "this game is dedicated to all the men, women, and children who gave their lives for our freedom". But MOHAA wasn't realistic. Plus a lot of people say that MOH is more realistic than CoD. Again, MOH should never leave WW2. Just because COD made success abandoning WW2 and becoming modern, doesn't mean every game should di it. MOH betrayed it's roots, just like DNF did.

@Mrhockey1996 As for the good game, I have been playing the Medal of Honor series since 2002, before the first Call of Duty came out, and believe me, I think that Medal of Honor Allied Assault, with it's simplicity and extreme run-n-gun unrealistic James Bond-Rambo style firefight, is still the best WW2 shooter ever made. That's what I am expecting from Medal of Honor series.

What I am saying is, that I find it stupid that people think the MOH series is more realistic because of this game, which isn't realistic neither. Juging from their roots, Medal of Honor was never realistic, and COD was a little more (that's why I said realistic "approach" and not simply "realism"). Allied Assault was a run-and-gun shooter, Airborne had Gas-mask super soldiers, so claiming about realism in MOH is ridiculous!

@MeTaLISaWeSoMe95 Yes, but to be honest I don't like that change. The new Medal of Honor tried to copy-paste Call of Duty, at least in Singleplayer. It is full of scripted events (MOH series was always linear, but never as scripted as COD, it had a liitle more freedom), you basically have to follow your team like in COD (in previous MOH games, either there is no team at all, or when it is, you always are it's leader, like in Pacific Assault). The new MOH screams jealously about COD's success!

@alerommel1 frankly i do. what they did they did better then call of duty. they delivered a competent story backed by a real setting and based off of a real event. the call of duty games are completely different, they dont require you to use your team, you can always go rambo if you like, but in this game you cant, you rely on your team just as much as your team relies on you. and about scripted events, cod didnt invent them, they copied them from games like reident evil during the psone era.

@MeTaLISaWeSoMe95 Yes, but COD abused the scriptiness. Even Duke 3d had scripted events but they were occasional. Call of Duty based the entire singleplayer campaign on scripted events. The fact that Call of Duty is extremely linear can be seen in most of it's gameplay elements. You can't even open doors! You just have to go from a pre-set path. Medal of Honor always had more freedom (not a lot, but still more than COD). Many levels from allied assault were based in big towns (con.)

Always in MOHAA the TEAM follows YOU, it's not the kind of "on my count to 3, we synchronize our sniper shots", or stuff like you have to wait for the team to gather, so the leader can open the door! It's ridiculous!

In Medal of Honor games you never had to wait for the leader. On the other hand,you had to wait in all COD games. So...why does the new MOH immitate COD instead of sticking to it's roots. Of course, because it wants to have the same success COD has. The new MOH is definitely not a real MOH game!

This game is not really that good... especially compared to COD MW2 and BFBC2 which were both awesome games... (what I didn't like the most was that the m14 EBR in this game has an automatic function when everybody knows that m14 is just a semi-automatic and manual firing mode)

@MrIlovegamez I see it's from wikipedia... but it's not fully automatic... it's "SELECTIVE FIRE AUTOMATIC RIFLE" in short it's semi-automatic... :) selective firing is different from fully automatic... automatic there refers to that it's not bolt action... and m14 EBR is a variable 7.62 mm-5.56mm. :)

@zakelias123 Not as bad, but it's not very good either. It has major balancing issues. Plus, it gets really repetetive, really fast. It's more competetive than it is fun. Why should I care about my kill/death ratio? Aren't video games supposed to be fun? You can think what you like because I, nor anyone else that wasted they're time on Call of Duty will care.

@NcfcHarry97 I played the alpha trial, gameplay was more like MoH than BC2, which in my opinion is a good thing since Bad Companies gameplay was a bit sluggish and I loved how MoH handled.
Personally I think MoH was a test for BF3.. Dice said in BF3 they want to give people the choice to go lone wolf and get really high KDR if they want but also being part of a team, MoH did that extremely well.
I just hope BF3 has the option for short 5 - 10 minute game modes
