Yes we have many problems here on earth but many of these problems cannot be resolved by money alone.
To suggest halting scientific exploration into space and cut NASA funds is ludicrous.
If one wishes to divert more money into solving our global issues, it would be much more effective to first ask why we spend billions bailing out companies.

You are probobly right we do have the technology to make most jobs run themselves. Money and the economy are amazing tool created by man to push ourselves and create order and a sense of fairness to that order. Money and a healthy economy breed competition which drive us to make things better and create better technology. My point is that money has a much greater purpose than just "the man" controlling us.

The thing is that there may well be actual life on Mars right now under the frozen polar region. Also some time in the future when the earths population is just overcrowded then Mars is where lots of us will end up. Leaving a nice peaceful green planet earth to the rich ! Hurray !!!

Money is what drives the economy and technology. Look at the economy as the people who work in it. We work hard to make money. What if the government told you that you had to work in a sewage waste plant or be a plumber and you made the same amount of money as someone working at a grocery store. You would be angry. Now think if there was no government.
