the very last left cymbal player is our high schools percussion director when the cymbal v=come on and hold for the snares the one all the way to the laft yea thats him
the snares are a little dirty...but overall pretty good and man I'd hate to be that short guy since they all put their snares at the same height...so awkward feeling
Marching with this drumline kicked so much ass. Us brass-players that year loved watching them play just as much as they loved hearing the brass. It was killer.
Well looking back on it, I'm not quite sure if he was in this early, but his name was Ryan Jezierski. He marched bottom bass for The Woodlands High School and Crossmen plates for a few years I believe. I'm not sure if that was 2001 or later. I took his spot in 2003 (after one guy) and I also knew and worked his sister Sara.
ok idk about any1 else but there wasnt one snare tick, there was a pretty cool visual and the tenors are playin some nasty licks...i dont see how any1 could be bored or criticize this vid man...this is tight and together...
2001 Crossmen is definitely one of my favorite shows of all time! This video gave me musical blue balls because I wanted to hear the hornline come in! :-)
Actually, we were referring to the rotation of the hand. I do know that all of these names refer to matched grip, but when speaking of a Rudimental snare drummer playing Traditional with his left hand, the use of 'German, French, American' refers to the hand that plays 'matched' or the opposite of the hand that plays traditional. Good observation. There is a reason you are only 14.
that was awesome

Crazy visuals. I love it when a drumline can actually incorperate visuals into a book and make it look good. Most of the time they look retarted.
This is such an underrated line.

i love this vid. i've watches this over 200 times and it's never gotten old. the lead snare is bad-ass! hell, they're all bad-ass!
dbjksdafsda 5 years ago
I agree the center snare is ballin! but you got to be in a line like that!
Drumline09 5 years ago
Kinda funny but the center snare isnt actually the "center" :) The bond guy just left of center was the captain.
speck1311 5 years ago
That's because there's eight, and when you have eight snares, there's no true center....
superdude1112 4 years ago
actually there are 7, and no none of the tenor players from that year went to RX but Tim Jackson did march Crossmen the next year.
speck1311 4 years ago
really, I thought there were 8... in that case it may have been a drill issue at that point in the show...
superdude1112 4 years ago
Thats kinda what it was, we had 9 snaresto start with but lost 2 for various reasons, we had 5 tenors at one point too.
speck1311 4 years ago
gotta love the doctor

cru4you 5 years ago
NO he doesnt. Check what grip they are using. They are using a more french grip. Which is a flat hand. Re watch it. You will see.
Dragon150043 5 years ago
WRONG, french grip is thumb on top...
kietey14 5 years ago
I thought that was german? oh well.
