I do understand how pervasive the American accent is in modern music (even the Beatles weren't immune!), but listen to artists like Roy Harper, Ray Davies, Kirsty McCall, Billy Bragg, no pretences at all..... I agree that Newton is an amazing artist with a fabulous voice. I just wonder why SO MANY singers lapse into the very obviously American accent so "naturally".....no offence intended to anyone at all, it's just a puzzle I have. Love light & peace
