he's using a loop pedal. he played taht part in the beginning, and then whenever he steps on the pedal that part will play, and he's free to solo over it.

J is just as good if not better than some of the so called legendary guitar players. Cobain was good but J's solos are like a hundred times better than his. But then again Cobain is (or was) more artistic.
