  • This was the first blizzard in so long and the first time we had a snow day since I started school!

  • DogStar you did a fantastic job. :)

  • Unless you've ever experienced thunder snow..which I have..you don't understand.

  • Lol my friend slept over thanks to the two snow days, but at the same time, my dog slipped out of her leash and I tried chasing her through the snow which failed and she bit a woman. Now I've got to go to court, whatta day that was :P

  • I made 100 dollars shoeviling snow that day :D

  • Woohoo 2 feet of snow and 2 snow days! That was the best snowstorm ever!

  • You know, if Obama really is the anti-Christ, this all seems very fitting.. maybe this is what a cold day in hell is actually like..

  • im gonna b honest ive never even HEARD of a thundersnow until last month

  • how did i get to watching this? i'm so lost in the internetz.

  • Is Starbucks even still open?

  • @adape0884frank no need for coffee you need vodka at this weather

  • Religion has nothing to do with this, people. This is natural weather.

  • Gods punishment or giving us Obama and the ballerina- enjoy

  • @PungChongTiong723 Yeah well... I dont believe you asking us to make peace with animals is like asking a loin to please stop eating zebras and the other animals it eats... It just wont happen. And nobody know's when the world will end only god does...

  • @manofgames112233 I made peace with a llama once. A detective came by and told me to move out of the county if I ever wanted to do it again.

  • @PungChongTiong723 Wow! See, now it all makes sense. Before, all this weather stuff,it was really confusing to me, ya' know. Like, how comes it gets, like, all warm and stuff sometimes, and that's like always in summer, ya' know, and how come then, it gets all cold. And then it gets really cold, ya; know. This shit keeps happening every year. That's shit, right? It should, like, make up it's mind.

Hey, do ya' think it's all gonna end? Really? Cool.

  • @PungChongTiong723 Thanks for encouraging us to not eat meat, because we are lives in peace..... Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian. So thanks for telling us how to be. Jesus said "it is not that which goes into a man's mouth that defile him, it is what comes out of his mouth. Peace

  • @PungChongTiong723 I understand why you think people should be vegetarians. But, YOU CANNOT infer when the world will end. God knows, and ONLY God knows.

  • @PungChongTiong723 you know every time you post something like this you just get people annoyed with you and you look like a idiot so there's really no point.

  • Wow ... the Chicago blizzard ... as if Chicago was the only place hit by the blizzard...

Too funny... not just this video ... but all the videos labled "Chicago Blizzard of 2011"

Okay ... there was a "Chicago Fire"... Chicago's very own fire...

  • @radiospirit Good point. Mostly, I wanted to indicate the location in the title. But frankly, the dynamics of the storm took on unique qualities here in Chicago. The Arctic Express first slipped south of Chicago and settled in Northern Indiana. It then spilled across the lake and slammed our lake-shore from the East, creating gale force winds. This 'lake effect' snow was what hit Chicago, sideways.

  • @radiospirit lol owned

  • @radiospirit -thats because Chicago is the only city that counts my friend! : )

  • Comment removed

  • @radiospirit You can search the site for "[city] blizzard" and find the same thing. It's just emphasizing the location, event, and date. Of course the videos along the side have a similar title. Youtube tends to make suggestions based on similarities like that.

  • @radiospirit

ever stop n think that maybe its just called that because it happened there, its not like anyones like IT ONLY HAPPENED HERE GUYS AW YEAH FUCKIN SNOW, im sure theres a bunch of ones called idk whatever other city blizzard 2011 too shit nigga

  • @radiospirit: this filming took place in Chicago, during a blizzard. if you'd like to see other points of view, try searching for "Peoria Blizzard" or "Elgin Blizzard". and good luck to you.

  • @radiospirit It was "the Chicago blizzard". Nobody got hit with the same storm as Chicago, or as much snow. Chicago basically got hit with 3 different storms, coming from different directions.

  • @radiospirit You sound like a moron. I'm sorry. The downtown Chicago area got the worst of the blizzard in the entire country. It was hit with a combination of storms coming from different directions. It was also the only one to get hit with lightning, and thunder snow. Yes, "THE CHICAGO BLIZZARD". Everyone else stood by, and suffered the small effects surrounding Chicago. Chicago was the PINNACLE of that storm, hence... "Chicago Blizzard".

  • @richig761 If you consider record high snowfalls, 24 deaths, thousands of motor injuries and severe white-outs "small effects" then It must have been anti-hell in Chicago. Seriously though, Chicago might have been through tough conditions, but that doesn't mean no one else felt it. Missouri closed the statewide interstate. Kansas declared multiple counties as disaster zones. Many states declared state of emergencies. This was especially hard for states like Texas, who hardly experience snow.

  • @larewwedxhhh19 I never said it wasn't difficult for other places, did I? No. I simply said, compared to Chicago nobody had it as bad. Not at all. Also, Chicago is possibly the most prepared for winter storms in the entire country. So of course places such as Missouri and Kansas will have roads close, and have a different approach to dealing with the storm. Some people call it the Chicago Blizzard. You're welcome to call it the Blizzard of 2011. Obviously, the uploader is from Chicago.

  • Silent lightning. The snow does a very good job of killing sound.

  • @Zoomer30 I tired to move into the open. The wind around the buildings was howling. This was also the flash that was caught live on air by the Weather Channel at a little after 8pm, local.

  • For good flash of thundersnow start at 1:07

  • Good videos i posted this to alot of websites
