Man - what a great, groundbreaking idea for a show this was: at the time (early '90s) all the grunge bands were out in the mainstream, and there was an idea that a real childhood wasn't about being popular or cool - but about finding out about all the weird people that were right in your neighborhood. AND it didn't do it with schmaltzy, cloying moral tales. Just odd little stories.

The message this show presented to kids was clear; it's OK to be weird, because secretly EVERYONE IS WEIRD!
