It is similar to a problem my friend had some time ago. It happens when the computer doesn't meet the requirements. Check if you have a compatible Video card (nVidida GeForce 6800 256MB, ATi Radeon 9800 256MB or better, GeForce 6200 256MB will do fine at all minimum). It has to have at least 256MB dedicated memory, shared memory integrated Intel chips don't work.

@FLattrim illegal copies require a "crack" file to run the game. Try scouting around Google. GameCopyWorld should have one.

Sigh. Read the annotations, it states clearly this car has the same sounds as original model of Mercedes CLK 55 AMG. No BMW-sounds are modded, only the car chassis is replaced.

The car's model is BMW but I replaced the Mercedes model with this one so it has the statistics and sounds of Mercedes but a chassis and looks of the BMW (and a steering wheel of Nissan because this is user-modded.)

Of course it is "fake" as it shouldn't exist in the game. Someone has 3D-modelled the car and converted the files to work with TDU. I had only to replace the existing files with these to have the car look like this.

Download -> backup original files from car it is going to replace (your TDU folder, usually C:\Program Files\Atari\TestDriveUnlimited­\, there Euro\Bnk\Vehicules\), replace in this case CLK_55_AMG.bnk and CLK_55_AMG_I.bnk, rims from folder C:\...\Vehicules\Rim\Mercedes\ and sounds (if it has them)from C:\...\Bnk\Sound\Vehicules.

Yes, I record videos using lower settings: 1280x1024 4x AA, hdr off and high details. Normally, without recorder on, I use 1680x1050 (16:10) 4x AA, hdr off and high details. It's around 70 fps and works fine.

Just replace the original files (in TDU folder -> euro -> bnk ->vehicules) with the ones in the zips. Remember to backup replaced files if you want original cars back.
