Too many people bitching about the size of the tanks in a fish store. Guess what people, pet stores are not exactly a cool or fun place for any fish. The highlight of their day is when they eat and that's usually only once a day in a pet shop. They need to get adopted! You must save them.

Im just saying these are fish and if u know half of what you are typing about u would realize many species of fish live out their lives in small pools of water.......and small areas of water. Even if they are in large bodies of water fish have small territories which they stick too and are bond to due to other fish, hince the "pecking order". And im tired of every1 screaming out "fish harrasment" when they have no idea how to keep any fish nicer than your common feeder goldfish.

I just know I'm right, LFS's are idiots. No, fish aren't humans but they are living organisims and most living things need a certain amount of space to live comfortably, and I think turn around room is definetly passed the limit. If I'm wrong why do aggressive fish get MUCH more aggressive and stressed out when in smaller tanks? Finicky fish; do the same, why do people say you need so many gallons of water in the tank per fish? Did they pull that information out of thin air?

Your not supposed to take a fish that's used to millions or billions of gallons of water as a pet and put it in a space so small it can't move. Your ideas are founded simply by the fact the fish CAN sustain life in those conditions. But, fish do NOT thrive in shitty conditions, they get stressed out. Just like ANY organisim that is pushed to a limit of sorts. People have been keeping fish for thousands of years, fish kept in captivity live healthier lives when kept in larger aquariuams. EoS
