Surprisingly slow and mechanical playing. Not typical for Koopman if you are used to listen to his performances.
But it is played extremely correct and accurate which makes this a nice performance, too! I like it though. It gives you an other view on the piece!

I agree. I have Andre Isior playing it. Far more lively in his hands & with a lovely lilt.
Koopman sounds uncharacteristically mechanical here.

I have to agree, i have bvw 574 as one of my favorites and this recording does no honor to it.
Strange that ton koopman plays it so slow and lifeless, he's usually the more "wild" organist.
