to me they are better than the beatles.there music has meaning and feeling. the beatles had more marketing of themselves(the fab 4) and all that. it finally overtook talent and good music, like this song.
I don't know what's up with Gerry these days, but I caught him in the early 90's at a Beatles fest. He sang a half dozen songs - just him and his acoustic guitar. His voice was better than ever. I got to meet him afterwards and talked to him for ten or fifteen minutes. Seems like a very nice guy.
This sucks..first thing he's lip syncing the tune, next he's the only original member and finally he 's old enough to be the grandfather of all the new members of the band. I bet he chose these younger guys to make himself look younger.
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll
I don't know, if you have to lip synch then the man must have been terrified of ppl hearing his voice as it sounds now. Maybe his voice is shot. What matters is he had it when he needed it and a great voice it was. This has always been one of my all time faves.
'64 was such a great year!

Yes,because Gerry is miming to his sixties recording of

This is a great video! The live performance is awesome. Gerry's voice is pretty much the same when he first recorded the song.

That is his voice when he first recorded the song.

@dropover Agreed. I think he's lip synching. The band and orchestra sound exactly like the record, too.
