  • My childhood!!!!

  • Ah the good old days where you cactually looked forward to the commercials.

Now it's just ridiculous bullshit that's supposed to get you interested but really just makes no sense and annoys the crap out of you...

  • 55 to 106 also my favorite bumper

  • Remeber the good old days when shows would have bumpers like these that would go, "We'll be right back after these messages?" Ahh, great times.

  • abc logo is missing 0:55 1:12

  • It's kinda neat how these bumpers,in a way, were teasers for Bump in the Night, which premiered one year later.

  • I liked the Bump in the Night and What a Mess bumpers the best.

  • 0:55-1:06

    My favorite bumper.

  • @UrkManRocks I believe they brought back the classic claymation bumpers from 87-90.

  • Mr. Bumpy!! I love him. =D

  • The abc logo from '93-'97 was always the creepiest when i was growing up.

  • Does anyone know what bumpers ABC used for the 1992-93 Saturday Morning Season?

  • That must be why they call him Mr. Bumpy.

  • I didn't see ABC on saturday's much, but I know it was amazing.

  • @904Caller Agreed!

  • Mr. Bumpy & his budmeister, Squishy from " Bump in the Night" ! Love that show...still after all these years!

  • @TheLynngirl69 I'm 23 and I actually remember that show!

  • BUMP and SQUISHY!!! <3

  • Yeah, pretty much Mr Bumpy from Bump In The Night started out as a Promo first before ABC decided to make his own TV series.

  • i love this cartoon.

  • AF

  • Crazy

  • @patu8010 yeah me 2. lol

  • @rosebud8029 no i think the bbc2 idals are the best of the rest

  • I miss this show.

  • I've never seen so many of these in a row. UGH!!!!!!!!

  • Bump In the night scared the dog ish outta me. lol

  • They was promoting themselves doing this, didn't think they had a show coming

  • on the 6th one, (the one with the robot sounding one), what happen to its version of the back to show thing.

  • @juniorwhopper, me too man, me tooooooooo!

  • I want a blowdryer with the abc logo on it lol

  • If I went back to this time, I am not sure I would want to come back to the present time.

  • @JUNIORWHOPPER I'm not sure I'd want to come back either. Good times.

  • @THERobertL2000 That may have been one of the best times to ever be alive.

  • And now back to the show

  • Mr Bumpy FTW

  • Mr. Bumpy?

  • @SongsJerome

The little green monster in the bumps. The year after these bumps were made, 'Bump in the Night' became it's own half hour series, and the 'What-A-Mess' bumps premiered, followed by the 'What-A-Mess' series the year after that.

  • @BobbyDrake2000 Ha ha ha. I knew that already. I'm a child of the 1990s myself. Thanks though.

  • i miss my childhoood! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

  • It burns to think about all of this.

  • kind of weird bt.......

  • I was three when these bumps came out and yet it still feels nostalgic.

  • lool year i was born

  • @MrClassicDoctorWho My best friend was born in 1993 also haha.

  • @Queenofawesome25 lol its a small world xD

  • Do you know why I love YouTube so much? You can find anything on YouTube. I mean ANYTHING!!!

  • @Topaz8316 Except porn. :P

  • @rosebud8029 creepy? those are cool!

  • haha mister bumpy

  • bump in the night! YAY!

  • The voice of the doll girl sounds cute... wish I had a gf with such voice to cheer me up.

  • That was "Bump in the night". I did not like that show at all. Crap.

  • It's all coming back. Saturday morning in the Fall was the best years in my childhood.

  • I sure miss those years...

  • That ABC logo is always creepy looking no matter what version they use

  • @a1cjlock Personally, I thought the ABC logo was creepy when the bumper at the 1:23 was used when I was a kid.

  • Do they even have these anymore?

  • @JUNIORWHOPPER They have cartoons that play, but not as many. If you watch the alphabet channels on Saturday Mornings you'll see cartoons still playing. But nothing like the 80s or early 90s. & even worse they have real life shows or news on in the morning when the parents are sleeping and kids are up. What the heck are the TV executives thinking? Or not thinking? Commercial profits & ratings would increase if they went back to the 80s 90s forumla & less Pokemon Teen Titan styles

  • @hootyhaha I completely agree on going back to the cartoon formula. I also don't think that they have the same bumpers, if they have those at all. I wish people would realize this and maybe bring some of those 80s and 90s cartoons back in the original format and not re-make them like Cartoon Network did with Garfield and some other shows.

  • @hootyhaha I currently started looking into what's up with sat. morning programming. From what I gathered, is that the alphabet networks are obligated to air educational programming in the morning. They have to do this now for some reason to appease E/I. It's sad. I think if you've been paying attention certain things about the 90's style of programming started to reemerge again. ABC president really wants to bring back TGIF and anchor it with Tim Allen's new show. NBC's new high concept single

  • @hootyhaha camera tv shows have been suffering and bringing down that network. NBC is in shambles. The reality show binge is dying and the networks are leaning on comedy. Unfortunately, cartoons continue to take a nosedive. It is sad because there's just not the same spirit anymore with cartoons. I recently heard that NBC would start airing a cartoon block on sat. mornings and afterschool on youtube. I looked it up and it ended up being false. I nearly cried. Why can't it be like the old days?

  • @osaji922 AMEN man.. AMEN! But.. NBC does air cartoons now, that wasn't false. They air Qbo or something like that it's a block of cartoons from some other NBC owned cable channel. They also air Babar from the late 80s or early 90s that used to run on Showtime or one of those cable channels. You know what though, as I'm typing I just recalled this was about 2 years ago.. so I'm not sure if by the time you checked they weren't doing it anymore. I'll have to look again this Saturday.

  • @osaji922 Fox Kids still airs about the closest to the 90s late 80s cartoons that used to air. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... (2 years ago, again I'll have to check again), and other shows I've forgotten about. SONIC the HedgeHog.. I'll have to look back again. I feel sorry for kids as far as television goes. Kids today will not have that same cool nostalgic feeling to flash back on as much as we have. I mean they have a handfull of shows like Spongebob or Phineas.. but not as many years.

  • This is when so many things were still funny.

  • things will never be the same!=(

  • @cameronlarkin504

    u got that right!

  • Bump In The Night was such an underrated show. And it needs a DVD release.

  • this show rocked XD

  • i was a fox kid on saturday LOL

  • You Rock! Either I've completely forgotten about these bumpers, or I've never seen them. Fantastic. I like these freaky ones more than the ones everybody has been posting.

  • After these messages, We'll be right back!

  • @ 1:05 I wish I could download a hot chick to my bedroom that way

  • I have to admit those used to bug the hell out of me. I would mute it everytime it came on lol

  • @steelangelriver You again! Lol! Seriously though, I thought 1:00 almost gave me a heart attack.

  • This was a great Saturday Morning era. The value of Saturday Morning cartoons have really subsided nowadays. Speaking as an 80s baby, I may have been born in the last of the great generations as far as television goes. On Friday it was TGIF. On Saturday it was Cartoons. On Sunday it was the Wonderful World on Disney. What wasn't there to like?

  • @Ty2k83

and on weekdays it was cartoons after school.

  • @Ty2k83 Couldn't agree more. You're absolutely right. Saturday morning cartoons are nowhere near what they used to be. Heck, cartoons in general aren't what they used to be. I was born in 1988, so I believe you're right. Those were some great lineups. What wasn't there to like? Nothing.

  • That green thing used to creep me right out!

  • Back when TV was good *cough cough* :P.

  • It was called Bump in the night

  • 1940s- ABC was born

1970s- The cartoons all now-adutls know.

1985- ABC gets new claymation bumpers.

    1986- The Real Ghostbusters premieres!

    1993- These bumpers premiere!

1997- Disney's One Saturday Morning premieres!

2002- Since 2002, lame educational shows air as ABC Kids.

  • this was a bumber from a show based on a children book...what was it called tho?

  • Oh man, that takes me back

  • Speaking of this bumper, fans of the Bump of the Night Complete series will be pleased to know that you can get the show on dvd in a few weeks on Shout's website :)

  • I never cared for the jingle, But Bump in the night was some amazing stop frame. We don't really have anything of this quality and effort anymore.

  • These bumpers suck. Nothing can touch the ones from the 80s. SMH. I was so little then but i remember those

  • (1(Nice Tits loyal to Collin protect children with bitch power, =Blade, update upload loyal wife program to Best best Dad program loyal to Collin -- GO)1) clay penny loyal to Collin update -- =

  • What a horrible jingle!

  • I didn't really like these TOO much.

  • @LifeOfTheParty323 yeah because they can't hold a candle to the older ones

  • Heh, I remember these bumpers from watching Sonic the Hedgehog back then. Good times! :)

  • man I love this vintage clips, its a shame that stations dont do this anymore they just cut to an extenze ad or some other ad about male enhancement. WTF? Im watching Ghost hunters and watching this and I see how terrible TV commercial breaks have become today.

  • by this time i was hitting puberty and getting into nirvana bootleg tapes. meh

  • This was my favorite show!

  • when i was younger my dad would record saturday morning cartoons for me i have at least 40 of the tapes with all the good old saturday morining shows they should bring them back

  • Does anyone remember what show those characters were from?

  • Bump in the Night.

  • thanks for telling the name of this show. :) this cartoon popped up in my head out of nowhere recently and i didn't remember the title.

  • I just love this....

does anyone know where can I download this ????

  • @xjpl84

    demonoid

  • i used to turn the volume up real loud when it went to commercial so i could hear the "back to the show " when i was gettin me some cereal or somethin.

  • although after my time so to speak, those were GREAT!!!! Thanks for sharing :0)

  • Dude! Bump in the Night, used to love that show.

  • OH MY GOD! I LOVED THESE COMMERCIAL THINGIES, I used to sing along to them as a child, thanks so much!

  • I remember these, I saw those on my recorded tapes of the Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show on ABC.

  • Funny that I don't remember these, but I do remember the older ones with the brick wall. I guess by this point I was watching Fox Kids all the time because Power Rangers had premiered that year and I was a huge fan lol.

  • I don't remember these either..I just remember the ones with the brick wall too..

  • If I'm not mistaking, there was a part in the bumper Mr. Bumpy was shoving Squishy in a plate. And the outro of the bumper had Squishy come out of a vase. Does anyone have that particular bumper.

  • WHy doesn't anyone have the bumpers that the toy story army men were in. I loved those but nobody has them. I know they were on during one stareday morning on abc.

  • @asdfasmfnasdflasjkf Actually, those bumpers are on YouTube. Search Disney's Doug Breaks and you'll find them.

  • @THERobertL2000 The one that I remember wasn't on there. The army men say HI DEE HI DEE HI DEE HO, then a few more words. I still can't find it. But thanks those were a good blast from my past.

  • Those are the characters from the show Bump in the Night. I remember that show, it was cute.

  • Oh my god! youtube has everything!! thank you for putting these up! i especially remember the first set! oh man takes me back!

  • I liked when the rabbit scared the living daylights out of Mr. Bumpy and the blue guy. Squishy I think. LOL! Priceless!

  • I don't really remember these bumpers. I do remember the one with the cowboy and the three singers but my favorite has to be the one where the cowboy is singing and then the horse falls on him.

  • the vacuum cleaner is creepy looking :O

  • Yeah!!! The vacuum cleaner used to scare me all the time when I was small!!! But, I'm *sort of* over it now...

  • Just think of him as Kirby from The Brave Little Toaster. Grumpy, but with a big heart. =D

  • Yeah!!! That will work!!! Thanks 4 the advice!

  • I like the laptop one best. ^^ Hehe.

  • This...is the best. Thanks for postin' up good memories.

  • why they don't do things like this anymore.?

  • Yes, yes! Thanks...Molly, Bump In the Night.

  • Hey why are the replies not posting under the comments that I am responding to?

  • ohmigad, is that Mr. go bump in the night? ohmigad, it is!... he's.. disgusting. XD why did i like that show!?

  • yeah...bump in the night

  • Who iz Mr. go bump in the night? And who iz the doll? And the Green thing?

  • Mr. Bumpy is the green thing, Molly is the doll, Squishy is the blue thing. They all appeared in the cartoon "Bump in the NIght"

  • Whats Bump in the night?

  • One of the best stop motion animation seies ever made. Type in Bump In The Night in your search bar there are some episodes on youtube.

  • If you want to see the complete series of Bump In The Night on DVD go to the

shout factory web site and tell them. It has been put on hold but I am sure that if enough people ask it will happen!

( It worked with sonic SatAM :)

  • But the Saturday Sonic set was rather DIRE, if you ask me. I think the set would have been better had Shout! allowed the fans to choose between the Fan Art set and a standard set with stock art.

  • Who cares about the box art the important thing is having the series in your collection and being able to enjoy watching it whenever you want. Also I thought it was cool that they used fan art on the sonic set. Its better than paying some random artist to do it, they usualy dont draw the characters the way they look in the show anyway. ( The front cover was not fan art on the sonic set.

  • these are awesome....that vacuum cleaner is a Kirby just like what my mom used..:PP

  • I remember these too!

  • Was the voice of Mr. Bumpy different in the bumpers then the one on the tv show, or was it the same voice? I always wondereded this, as I always thought that the voices sounded different.

  • I too remember the brick wall ones but never saw any of these weird

  • Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends Bumper - It's Art

  • I hate these.

All because it makes me feel old,lol

  • Molly is so hot.

  • Okay, I remember the other set of bumbers on here (the dog and hydrant, the three singers, and the cowboy) but I don't remember a single one of these..

  • lol i dont remember these either

  • These bumpers always remind me of my Dad bringing me a McDonald's Big Breakfast every Saturday morning. Now I just work each Saturday.

  • Molly is my favorite character, and it's funny to see her as Venus!

  • All Hail Mr. Bumpy! Like the other ones though back in the 80's

  • What is "good" or "bad" is purely opinionative rather than factual.

  • Doesn't matter what we all say, ABC will never go back to the good ol days of the 80s and 90s. Then again it is what the viewers want.

  • @pyschodad1 Even if ABC did go back, it would never be as good as it was.

  • I'm so glad I was a kid when saturday morning cartoons were actually good. I miss you, Mr Bumpy!

  • check out the 90's mcdonalds commercials.. wow the 90's were the last decade to produce good pop culture..then came the spongebob generation

  • hey spongebob is actually one of the good ones, if not the only...

  • oooh i remember the one at :45! hell yeah!

Mr. Bump owned this network on saterday!

  • indeed, these were the original bumpers for Satam Sonic before Mr bumpy got his own tv series.

  • for real! thats cool! i wander how MB got his own show from Bumps! thats cool!

  • same thing happened with What-A Mess,he also originally started out as Saturday morning bumpers before he got his own tv series.

  • for real! i usta love that show too! i havent seen it in forever!

  • ok, i THOUGHT these shorts preceded the show. thought i was going crazy!

  • nope your not going crazy.lol,as I mentioned before,Mr Bumpy originally started out as commercial bumpers for Satam Sonic, than the following proceeding year,he got his own tv series

they should have putted mr bumpy on Robot chicken.lol

  • i miss seeing these on tv!

they need 2 bring them back on saturday mornings!

bring these back on saturday mornings!

  • who is the redhead doll with one stripped leg? I have her in my doll case but can't find anything on her. Who is she?

  • Molly. She's voiced by Gail Matthius (who was a castmember on Saturday Night Live for the 1980-1981 season [except for Eddie Murphy getting his start there, the season sucked]).

  • @FirstClassHeel

OMG she sounds so cute when she holds the "Baaaaaack to the show..."

  • omg...i remmeber this! XDDDD This brought abck memories
