  • The pressure hose on my Hyundai comes with a steel line with flare nuts on each end. I'm having trouble aligning the flare nut properly with the thread since it's so tight. So it will screw in partially then pop out. The crows foot I'm using is too large and the tie rod is blocking any thoughts?

  • @paingain100 isn't replacing power steering hoses fun? Yea, no working room on that Korean piece of work. Just keep trying, sometimes it even takes me hours to align the stupid crap.

  • @scottykilmer I managed to get that flare nut most of the way in. I had to get some rubber dish washing gloves to tighten it by hand. Steel part of the pressure line has to intertwine with other parts of the line to keep them in place. Thanks again!

  • Hey Scotty, Im tryna swap out some leaky tranny oil cooler lines on a 04 Chevy Tahoe 5.3, the rear cooler lines on the tranny, seems like no way in hell to get to them to take them off, do You know what size bolt the connecting the lines is?, & what kinda tool would I come about to do the job?..Any & all help would be thankful..Thanks Scotty!

  • @CumminsFanatic57 no idea on sizes, I just get my wrenches and sockets in trays and try until I find the right one even myself. But the lines going into the cooler have special tools to remove them and pop em out, any auto parts store can sell you that.

  • Oh, sorry, I also have a 1999 Mercedes E320. Thanks for any help on this! Happy Holidays.

  • I tried to replace my hose but the old bolt would not go back on. Where can I get a new bolt fast. I can't find it in the parts lists?

  • Hello I have a 1992 gmc vandura van that needs the power steering hose replaced the lower on is stuck tight used a cheater bar unable to budge it any ideas? If I am unable to get it off I was going to use FLEX Seal on it until I can get it into the shop...

I am open to any suggestions thanks in advance.

  • what hell happened at 1:10? Why'd u get spooked?

  • I will attempt to do this with my 2002 Cadillac Deville. I was instructed to take off the heat shield, is this necessary?

  • How would you flush out old steering fluid? Is there a easy way to do it like maybe on a Honda? Thks!

  • @Autofanatic28 suck it out, put new in, drive 5 minutes, and repeat 5 times or so. Scotty

  • I was taught in my automotive school that its best to leave the car off, and go lock to lock about 10 times, then start it and move the wheel lock to lock again 10 times. im sure your way works too, but just thought id share the textbook way with you :)

  • Ive got a saturn Ls and it does this high revving when started and stays their. Sometimes it will idle down after a mile or so but it sometimes wants to keep the rpm up high. It has 190,000 on it and is otherwise a great dependable car any ideas how to fix it

  • @dewaynedell44 watch my video "how to fix a car that idles poorly" to fix that. Scotty

  • Hooly f*ck, how much for that helmer? :D

  • @fladdy45 it's my son's ex combat flight helmet, not for sale ANY price. He gave it to me when his commanding officer gave it to him. scotty

  • Did you put autozone PS fluid in a Mercedes?

  • @YotaFan1 no, that's just a bottle I use. Scotty

  • @Mich363 na, lines that old are just rotten. scotty

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • scooty.... adding power steering cooler is that worth or useless ???? my car nissan wd21 carb k24de 4x 2.....thanks for your answer....

  • Got the old hose off can't get the new on .. been trying for two days .. there is no room to move anything around down there .. 99 mountaineer .. aaaahhhh

  • I have a leak coming from the front driver's side of my bumper. It'd puzzled me because I couldn't image what could be leaking that far up, seeing that the fluids are further back. Anyways, I smelled it and knew that it wasn't oil. Matched the color with the power steering. I'm wagering that it's a hose because the pump on the 1990 Honda Accord is to far back to leak from the pump.

  • i got a nissan nx coupe with broken power steering line - and its so tight in the engine bay my hand actually got stuck merely adjusting the pulley tensioner - took me 2 minutes to extract my hand (and got me a quite concerned about ever working on it again if the engine is hot - if it had been hot and my hand got stuck it would have burned bad,

so im worried that replacing the unit will need an engine removal?

  • @TheLOCATION100 No, guys like me do it all the time, we have special tools and often we just cut the old hoses off using a grinder, then use a socket and extension to remove the hard to get to nuts that hold the hoses on. you throw away the old hose anyway, so who cares? Scotty

  • hey scotty once again its me chamblizi of youtube dot com!

i have traded my f-250 today for a 1975 ranchero i noticed when i cut the wheel hard some smoke came out at first i thought it was the valve cover but then i double checked and called autozone and i have a leaky power steering line only leaks when you cut it hard. any advice for patching a power steering line?

  • @chamblizi watch my video "replacing a power steering hose", you can't patch em, just replace em. They hold 1600 psi pressure. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer ok thanks sign

    Chamblizi of youtube dot com!

  • Scotty I have a 2000 Alero, that makes a really loud wine when I turn the sterring wheel, sounds like a mad cat. I know that it is sucking air somewhere and also leaks power sterring fluid. If I add the UV dye and find the and fix the fluid leak will that also fix the problem with air sucking into to the system or are they not related?

  • @rg10969 generally they only suck air from a leaking hose or pump seal. Try to figure out which one is leaking first, using UV leak dye. Scotty

  • wish i could take my tires off :/

  • just loosen this hose! eeeeer!

  • i wish i had ur knowledge .. i jst spent $230 on this today.. fml

  • For a nissan 2004 maxima can I buy aftermarket hose or does it have to be factory? Also your demo appears easy but how difficult to replace for my maxima? The dealer is trying to kill me but Iwant to know is it DIY. Thank you

  • Thank you !! Great and simple explanation !

  • This video was really direct and descriptive. Nice video :D

  • Mazda e2200 leaking powersteering. HOW TO DEAL WITH THE LIMITED ACCESS?

  • @TheK0894 as best you can, remove tires, jack up the car, and swear a lot. Scotty

  • do you have to take the wheel off if you own a pit to get under the car? and can you just use that stop power steering leak stuff?

  • @1person89 I don't have a pit. But power steering uses 1600 psi pressure, and no sealer will stop that in a hose leak. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer well was wondering because my grandfather has a pit, and thanks now i know not to seal it!

  • I hav a question i just recently changed the hose in my 04 audi a4 3.0 that sends the p/s fluid in does it hav to b a specific type of hose or is any rubber hose ok?

    Thanks

  • @rangelsB6 special high pressure hose, 1600 plus psi in those babies. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer

ok i will make sure to rechange that hose not sure what the psi is on the hose i bought is but now i now. thanks alot scottie!

  • Scotty - would it also be okay to put dye to find the leak if the reservoir is full or does it need to be empty? Reason I ask is if i put dye into a pretty full reservoir will it even be enough to even make a good mix and present itself out into the leaking area? thanks!

  • @ns671fr put it in the reservoir, it mixes fast. Scotty

  • Scotty, I've read that the way to bleed the power steering is actually to lift it up in the air so the power steering has no pressure, is it okay to also do it while its on the ground?

  • @ns671fr I do it on the ground all the time, but jack it upif that doesn't work. Scotty

  • I have a 2001 Audi A4 and I'm replacing the steering rack in it because the previous owner used the wrong fluid and ruined the seals in it. Should I also replace the power steering lines as well?

  • Scotty@logmegadeth72 I would replace the high pressure hose, but the low pressure hose rarely leaks.

  • i have a 2007 impala that will leak fluid only if the wheels are cut all the way to the left or right.. i would just like to understand why this is happening, thanks

  • @jwp09 put some UV leak dye intothe system and see where the dye comes out. Generally either the hose or the steering rack ends. Scotty

  • I have a question, I have an ols cutlass supreme (95) and My power steering line that is leeking is underneeth alot of stuff (aka alternator, things like that) Would I have to remove the Alternator and belt? or is there a way to get to it without removing all those things? I mean if you would know help would be greatly approcieated :) (Sry for mispelling.. a bit tired)

  • @matts417 sometimes you do have to move stuff out of the way, but I normally jack up the car, do it from the bottom, and bypass all that crap. Scotty

  • u confused me ; /

  • mine is leakinig undre by the rack and pinion steering on a 97 vw jetta glx vr6 an I dont know what to do an am low on cash help...

  • @unforgiven101inc Put some UV leak dye into the power steering reservoir and see where the green dye is coming out. Often the rack itself in VWs, a VERYexpensive fix. Just keep adding fluid, and try some AT 205 reseal in the tank to try to seal that leak, I get it at amazon.com Scotty

  • is it the same for 1997 lexus es300?

  • @PureShotGolf Yes, same basic process, only the location of the hold down bolts differ. Scotty

  • Hey Scott, I have kia optima 2004 ex and was wondering if I too need to take the tire off to take the other end of the powering steering hose. Also, how would I drain out the power steering fluid on this kia? Many Thanks!

  • @chem2316 just loosen the hose and let it drip in a pan. And yes, removing the tire gives more access room to get the nuts loose. Scotty

  • Is this the same way for a 1999 Intrepid?

  • @commander507 pretty much the same. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer

is this the same for a 1995 Celica ST?

  • @stevomwa1 Pretty much the same, but the banjo bolt on the power steering pump is often hard to remove, I use an air impact wrench and a long extension myself. Scotty

  • I have a 1998 jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and i have put on the lower end of the new replacement hose (near the rack) but the second part which goes on the topside i can not for the life of me get to stay. Everytime I twist it it takes about two twist and pops out. This hose is brand new and O' Reily gave it to me especially for my car. Is there anything I am missing? Reply soon I MUST have the car ready to run within a week.

  • @Smashmouthj yes, they can be cows to get on. You have to start the threads. I would try putting the top side on first, then put the bottom on in your case, so remove the bottom and start over. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer Any other advice to give before I start so I can have all the wisdom I need?

  • @Smashmouthj yea, once you start the threads, make sure they are really tight as they hold over 1500 psi pressure. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer Thanks I am about to try agian. Starting those threads are so annoying.....It just keeps jumping out. So here we go.

    Thanks

  • My line leaks pretty bad. Is it ok to drive about 100 miles to my brother's house for the fix, or will that smoke my pump?

  • @buckle823 If it leaks enough to suck air it will Scotty

  • Mr Scotty what do you think happens if my power steering roars but i do have power sterring liquid in reservoir? (noise started after i change rack and pinion and drove a mile without power steering liquid to the closest autozone and fill reservoir) Thank You

  • @rarriz big mistake, now your pump is worn inside. Scotty

  • Hey Scotty, what if the new hose does not have a new rubber sealing ring? do they sell just the ring or do you put the old ring on it.

  • @13FravelJ you should always use new rings, they have 1500 psi pressure and upwards. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer do they sell them separaetly, or do they always come with new rings

  • @13FravelJ good ones come with rings, cheap ones don't. Hard to find just the rings. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer shouldnt you always try to get the good stuff for a car to make it last longer.

  • @13FravelJ heck, hoses are pretty much hoses, if they don't leak, they're fine. Dealers mark up the price insanely. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer So all hoses are basically made of the same stuff, Rubber.

  • @13FravelJ yes, with steel reinforcement in many. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer I did not know that many had steel reinforcement in them.

  • Scotty, we have a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan that leaks power steering. When I look under, I see it dripping out of a small tank or container under the van (Not sure what it is) What do you think I need to replace? And do you need to take off the wheel? Please reply quick! Thanks!

  • Scotty, my steering wheel locked up completely. After checking and finding a very heavily leak, i replaced the top PS hose myself. I thought my problem was solved but only 20 mins after running good with a slight play my steering wheel locked up again....I have no idea what to do, any ideas that would help??

  • Thanks for the help, I knew I had a leak because the steering was getting hard and load to turn then I checked the level of the fluid and it was like almost empty, put more power steering fluid inside. within four days it was back to empty put more in and turned the steering wheel and had my girlfriend look to see if any fluid was leaking from the hose...there it was

  • Does this video apply to any car or just a Merc?

  • @midfielderlegend any car, they all work the same way, except ones that have electronic power steering which use electronic motors to give power steering., Scotty

  • Scotty. my new power steering line came without fittings at each end. whats the trick to removing original fitting to install onto new line?

  • @Viperbouf go get the right line with ends on it. you need special machines to crimp fittings on them, they do hold 1500 psi and higher. Scotty

  • @Viperbouf - the problem is... this is the right power steering line. I ordered it from Dodge and found that you have to pay extra for the fittings (which are roughly the same price as the main line!) It's for a Ram SRT-10 '04. ($300 later!) Thanks for your response, anyway. The new fittings are called "quick connects". so I'll see just how well that works when they come in. what I'd really like to know is where to exactly place ALL the O-rings that came with the new pump?

  • scotty if i just wonna siphon out the old power steering fluid and add clean one in does the the front wheels need to be up.

  • @hp11208 No, you can leave it on the ground. scotty

  • Cool video!!!

  • do you always need to change the hose? can't it be fixed if it doesn't leak much?

  • @ComonPpl00 Ya can't fix em, they hold 1500 psi, have to replace em. Scotty

  • @ComonPpl00 NO, 1500 psi can't be patched. Scotty

  • Wow, I love this video!

  • What if Power steering Fluids overflows and spills when bleeding the air out :>

  • If you can find a candid mechanic, they will charge labor which is $90-120 and the hose itself will cost about $150 (genuine part). It will total out around $250.

  • I'm leaking power steering fluid on the drivers side around where the rack and pinion is, but the rack and the power steering pump have both been replaced this week. so trying to figure out which hose it might be that is close to the driver's side?

  • Is thsi his car/your car?:D

  • hey i got a 92 cadillac eldorado and i was in the process of changing the valve gasket cover and and i had to remove the power steering inlet pipe adapter to get to one of the bolts while i was attempting to remove it a piece of the plastic broke off, the dealer price is 88 dollars do you know if there is a cheaper way to fix it i was gonna just get two rubber hoses but each end is a different size..any help would be apreciated..

  • anyone know if this is the exact same for a 1990 audi v8 quattro? Also, a more specific name for the hose, because im trying to buy a replacement online and cant tell which one to get.

  • @naylornation It the power steering high pressure hose. And all cars are pretty much the same, only the location of the hoses changes. Scotty

  • @ScottyKilmer UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH lol

  • Would it have been possible to just replace the O-Ring?? Obama stole my High Pressure Steering Hose Parts Budget, I.E. Extra Income,, lol's

Scotty your City Council needs to give you the Key to the County, A True American Hero!! Welcome to the Country of Automobile/Motorcycle Necessity.

  • @rclark23 Of course you can replace leaking o rings, but normally it's the hose itself that gets pourous and leaks out fluid. That's why you use UV dye to see exactly where the leak is coming from. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer My 96 Ford f150 has a 'little' slap at the top nut metal elbow connection at pwr sterring pump, i.e. source of my leak,,

They told me at O'Reilly Auto Parts that i need the 'whole hose assembly',, saying it was a 1 time bolt on, meaning you couldn't unbolt it and put it back on, Tends to Raise my blood pressure when I find they will LIE to me just to make more money of the already OverTaxed America,, i thought i smelt a rat, an 89.00 dollar RAT,,;^) Texas ever heard of Alex Jones?

  • Hi there. I have a Toyota Camry 1998 V6. And recently my POWER STEERING FLUID has been leaking on the passenger side(RIGHT). and I am VERY CONCERN about it. I am not sure what is it. Can it be the hose (like your video?). And how much would it cost if I take it to a car shop?

  • @Anna106 On those, it's almost always the high side pressure hose leaking. Price around, cause parts and labor vary widely. Scotty

  • hmm i dont know. we have a 2010 ford mondeo with half electric and half power steering. i guess thats a different story then for me? or not?

  • @flyerholland Normally electronic power steering systems only use electronic motors, so they are different. Scotty

  • Aww thanks this was alot of help :)

  • I didn't see you bleed the system is that required?

  • @dexdrums In most cases they just work fine doing the processes in the video of turning the wheels to get the fluid flowing. Scotty

  • I tried to change one on an '89 amgo and it comes apart in two pieces. The top peice is connected to a bottom hose by a nut that i tried for an hour to get off. I'm trying to use an open ended wrench and not a socket because the bottom hose is in the way. Any suggestions on how a girl can get that bad little nut off?

  • @KarenandRyder Yes, they are stinkers, I just cut the old one off the hose, and then hook up an air tool to whack the bolt off. You could also cut the hose portion and use a long extension and a big cheater bar, it would also work. Scotty

  • Another great video. Thanks.

  • Hi, my power steering hoses shake and make a grinding noise when turning left. I can hear it and see/feel it in the hoses and cooler. It only does it when I turn the wheel to the left, not to the right. What do you think it could be? It dont have bubbles in the reservior, and doesn't do it when I put the front end on jack stand. Can you help? Thanks

  • @oneloudchevy32 that means the power steering rack has a problem inside the left side, such as a stuck valve. Try cleaning it out with a product like Seafoam power steering additive/cleaner. That often fixes it without changing the expensive rack out. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer Ok thanks scotty. I have tryed flushing it. Its a 2000 4x4 silverado. I was told I have a gear box and not a rack and pinion. My truck needs a front end alignment badly too. What do you reccomend if the Seafoam don't fix it? Thanks

  • @oneloudchevy32 then you'd have a front suspension problem, as gear boxes don't have valves that go left and right. Something on the left side suspension is wearing out, like a ball joint. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer Well it just had a safety done. And one ball joint was bad on the right. So I had it replaced. And the noise is still there. But why would it make my hoses shake anyways? The hoses and cooler is where the noise is coming from. Could it be from needing a wheel alignment?

  • @oneloudchevy32 If they shake even when the vehicle isn't moving down the road, it's not an alignment. They can shake because they are not on tight, or that whatever they are bolted onto has a problem, like a worn motor or transmission mount. Scotty

  • Hi, my power steering hoses shake and make a grinding noise. I can hear it and see/feel it in the hoses and cooler. It only does it when I turn the wheel to the left. What do you think it could be? It dont have bubbles in the reservior, and does do it when I put the front end on jack stand. Can you help? Thanks

  • Thank's Scotty, Lookin at this was very helpfull.

  • damn is it really that easy?? or do you just make it look like it? hahaha

  • Any suggestions for sealing/covering the leak until my hose arrives, at the parts store...? It's leaking and it's making a bit of a mess.

  • Great job Scotty! Got any ideas about a 2001 Dodge Caravan? The high pressure line into the steering box seems almost impossible to change without removing the engine or some sort of special tool. Any help is appreciated.

  • Thanks Scotty, I gotta go this job very soon, but I gotta change the low presure hose between the reservior and the pump, but i guess the bleeding method is the same? I like you presenting and tuturing skills, its straight to the point, simple to understand and you have a lot of enthusiasm in your voice (keeps people glued to video, instead of mind wondering off).... enough of the compliments your gonna hate me now, I'm sorry but somthing about you reminds me of Joe Pesci, but he's cool! lol

  • @CrustyBiker That's just cause we're both from Up North originally. Scotty

  • I am about to replace my Hose on my Infinity I35. Do you know where i can find the copper sealing washers that I will need to the new part? Also any other tips when putting in the new hose?

  • @fergujs99 Good hoses come with new washers. But if they don't, I reuse the old ones all the time after buffing them down with emery paper on a flat surface. Scotty

  • I am about to replace my Hose on my Infinity I35. Do you know where i can find the copper sealing washers that I will need to the new part? Also any other tips when putting in the new hose?

  • your videos are so helpful. thanks for sharing.... i have a nissan xterra 03 n i need to replace my steering wheel hose. pls help...

  • Hi scotty: in your experience what happen more often, the pump been broken or the hose???

My power steering pump is often empty and I was thinking in replacing the pump but now I gonna try the dye and hopefully I just have to change the hose.

By the way this problem can affect your engine performancelike ie: losing power on hills, on the highway, or any other kind???

thanks for all your help and keep the videos coming!!!!

  • Good man-always patient with customers & people in general, cracks jokes plus he knows his sh#*.

  • This was very helpful. I really thank you for taking the time to make this.

  • Great video. Always watchable.

  • my drive line is leaking

  • @MrLALO805 If you're talking about your drive shaft, either grease is coming out of it and it needs new joints, OR the transmission seal is leaking from the transmission and then dripping over the drive shaft. Scotty Kilmer

  • and the botls of the transmission of my blazer felt like if u put em by hand every single bolt felt way to lose... they where very in but they where lose...

  • i know this is not part of this video but... it is normal that when i tighten the bolts on the blazer 2.8 transmission pan feel loosen and i see some red transmission fluid in the floor is normal?

cuz that's the reason i tighten em cuz its leaking...

im gonna put new gasket and RTV how much torque i can put the boltd until it stop moving or an exact torque?

    thanks appreciate the help

  • @X2N18 You can't fix leaks on that thing by tightening bolts, the gaskets are cheap glue originally and you have to take it apart and reseal the whole thing. Just make the bolts snug,, 12 ft lbs is plenty enough. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer thank for the info il try fix it best as i can with patience...

i wanted to drain the fluid can i do it while i get the gasket and the filters and all kind of that wont damage the transmission or is better to leave it like that and unmounted when i have all the resources?

cuz i wanted to drain it so it drains good and then put gaskets and new oil...

  • @X2N18 go ahead and change the gaskets and filter and be sure to put a little sealer on the gaskets before you install it. Scotty

  • Mr Scotty I'm not trying to give you a hard time but, where I live I think the city would come down on me hard if I fixed my car or a few in my drive way. Does the city send it's code enforcement people and bother you too? They came to my house and gave me a ticket for having an ice cooler out.

  • @moofushu Man, you're living in the wrong place. This is Texas, and people can do as they please generally. unless you live in one of those suburban areas where they tell you what color to paint your house and where my mother in law got a citation from having a silver dollar size piece of mold on the side of her garage. guess there still are Nazis hiding out there. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer

There are some European countries - like Italy - where you can't work on your own car. You have to take it to a garage/repair shop. It's draconian rules like this that infringe on civil liberties. Over here in the UK we can still fix our own vehicles as the aftermarket / DIY car care business is worth over six billion pounds annually.

  • @TK42138 Interesting, I love finding out about the rest of the world (without actually having to go there, though I'd like to visit England one day, I've owned enough English motorbikes in my sordid past.) Scotty Kilmer

  • @TK42138

    Since when ?

i'm in France and i've been in Italia for holidays

i've never seen what you say.....

  • @michaelovitch

Maybe they've changed the rules but I read about it in UK motoring magazine back in late nineties. (Auto Express)

Being able to work on one's own car is a fundamental right in my opinion.

  • its a 1977 so no airbags, there is no wiring harness in the car right now. if you see my new car videos you can see that the only thing there is a frame, suspension, brakes, half of a body, the engine, and a few parts inside.

it looks like i can loosen the bolts on the thing and just pull it out then put a new coupling in it. it kind of looks adjustable but i doubt it.

  • my steering has a lot of free play, the coupling thing in between the steering gear and the shaft that comes from the steering wheel is worn. how do i get it out of there?

  • @dnl5649 That's a whole bunch of fun. Basically, you have to remove the steering column and pull it upwards in order to replace that coupling. Just be careful not to wreck any of the wiring when you do this, and if you have air bags, disconnect their power supply FIRST or you may be in for a big surprise. Scotty Kilmer

  • my car steering been making sound as well and the oil steering hose is oily. I believe since the hose leak, it is loosing pressure. now I know what to do. Thanks.

  • scottykilmer, I was wondering if you can make video on making brake lines double flares, and how to bend them... Thank, nice vid.......

  • @Raven60618 I don't really modify anything anymore, but to do that kind of stuff you need the tools to flare them, and the tools and dies to bend them. Most guys today just buy new parts and bolt em on though. Scotty Kilmer

  • @scottykilmer

    Thanks for replying

On some cars I have done, they dont make brake lines

    anymore., even at dealer....

The brake hoses I know they sell new, that I will buy...

Do you know the thing on brake lines that look like spring

(armour), what the proper name when ordering..

    You had tv show? when?

    thanks................

  • @Raven60618 That spring is just a covering to keep the hose from rubbing. I did Crank It UP on CBS TV here in Texas for 12 years, then they ran out of money and so I ran away from them. The internet is much better anyway, I can spread the truth without having to deal with advertising lies. Scotty Kilmer

  • @scottykilmer

Do any tips for a person going in the automotive field...

  • Scotty i cant find the Power Steering Resivuar on my car i have 2 radiators i found the belts the fuel filter brake fluid and coolant but the radiators DO NOT have caps i cant find the A/C Low Pressure line i followed the H line thru the system but i DO NOT have a power steering resivuar even tho i DO have power steering the coolant contained uses a hose and goes right into the rad so my guess is thats how i fill the rad

  • @Matthew55904 All power steering systems have reservoirs, some are built into the pump itself, and some are remotely located with a hose that goes to the pump from the reservoir. Just look closer or go to any auto parts store and they can show you. The H AC line is the high line, you want the low pressure line, it's always the thicker line and it goes between the compressor and the evaporator at the firewall. Scotty Kilmer

  • @scottykilmer I see 2 hoses for fuel that go to the filter i see other hoses of the same thinkness however i did locate my belts i still dont know where the compressor is now that i found my Fuel Filter on the Firewall my question is how to u know when it needs to be replaced?
