I really feel as if the science of these arguments is a moot point to the creationists. To them god is the philosophic grounds for their reality. Thus, any scientific evidence given for the god's existence is a defense mechanism. I think the real heart of this argument lies in changing the philosophy of the times. It is about people being able to be comfortable in perceiving reality for exactly what the senses tell you it is.
In my experience, being a member of MENSA has no bearing on how intelligent a person is. An ex-boyfriend of my wife's is a member and he's a Jerry Springer episode waiting to happen
Actually, I think he makes a great deal of good sense. There is just no way random chance can account for DNA and the way it works. Nor the laws of physics and so much more. IQ means nothing. IQ tests measure types of intelligence but I don't think it's possible to accurately measure intelligence as a whole. What is intelligence anyway? Is it based on problem solving ability and speed? Memory? Mathmatics? General knowledge already acquired? Matt Ridley treated the problem with standardized IQ tests quite well in his book The Agile Gene actually..
All you really need to do to get into Mensa is be able to solve word puzzles, number patterns, and other such puzzles. The kind of intelligence that IQ tests measure are HIGHLY limited.

The Mensa bar, as I recall, is an IQ of 132. The funny thing is that "MENSA" when translated into Spanish means stupid. I know it just ironic and coincidental, but I can't help but laugh when I think about it. It CAN predict sometimes, yes, but it depends on what you study. Quantum effects cannot be predicted, but the effects of gravity sure can. Predictions are NOT an exclusive property of science.

IQ means nothing. IQ tests measure types of intelligence but I don't think it's possible to accurately measure intelligence as a whole. What is intelligence anyway? Is it based on problem solving ability and speed? Memory? Mathmatics? General knowledge already acquired?
